I am someone who will take a chai any time of year, so this is a drink i like to keep around! This chai is very warming, but keeps the notes of the oolong very well!
The rich complexity of oolong tea lays a smooth foundation for a majestic cup, packed with savory spice notes and hypnotic aroma.

Pretty good. Prefer to mix this with the something else rather than alone. Kind of pricey. That's all.
Not my cup of tea, good chai but too strong for my liking. Good quality, but not my favorite flavor wise, try it for yourself.
My favorite everyday chai. Perfectly balanced flavors. The addition of the cacao nibs puts it over the top.
Lovely tea and will be ordering this again. Thank you
Very nice. Lovely first thing in the morning with a touch of honey
Brewed nicely and had a lovely color in my cup
I love oolong teas and this Chai is Fantastic!! It is a very calming tea for me. Give it a try!! I promise you wont be disappointed
I feel like every chai I have tried from adagio has been a let down. It’s baffling since I love adagio and I love chai. This is no different
One of my top teas I’ve tried so far! Has a nice spice to it, I think this tea could be enjoyed any time of day.
This is good. I really like the chai flavor on the oolong base. Its earthy and satisfying. I made mine extra milky and it tasted like an oolong chai latte.
I was drawn to try this chai due to the ingredients. I thought it might have too much of a “spicy” flavor but still wanted to try it. It didn’t disappoint, it was delicious. Just the right amount of spice for a chai tea. This is now on my purchase rotation.
My new favorite! I'm back to order a larger bag, because I went through the 9 oz. quickly. What I bought to have as an every now and then treat became my everyday go to.
Andrea: This is the best chai I've ever had. It's probably my favorite oolong too, but that may be unfair given how little oolong taste this has. This tea is also my favorite to add just a touch of spice to home blends. It's rich and layered with a deep earthy taste perfect for adding to Pu-Erh, Toasted Mate, Chicoriccino, red rooibos, any Assam, and even coffee! By itself I like it best simmered for 10 minutes in half water, half milk, and then sweetened with brown sugar.
Perfect spice mix, soothing, good to low blood sugar, and blood pressure.
An excellent Chai in its own right, with strong notes of cinnamon. To step it up a notch, try it with Samurai Mate, Raja Oolong Chai, and Masala Chai in a 3:2:1 ratio, respectively. That has been my go to in order to replicate the long lost Teavana tea sample at the door.
I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Once brewed it has a strong cinnamon smell with a delicous sweet spicy blend.
Pretty good tea. Especially for a cold winter day. Will warm you right up. 10/10 recommend can't go wrong
I buy this for my wife. I blend it with the Samurai Mate 50/50. She absolutely loves it. It’s been awhile, but this is a perfect replacement for a blend we used to get from Teavana.
My favorite chai tea.Absolutely delicious with milk and a tiny bit of sweetener added. No one beats this tea.
Wonderful cinnamon finish with complex spices. I have purchased this tea several times and drink weekly!
One of my favorite teas. It's my morning go to especially for on work days. The spices adds a nice touch especially during the winter.
Wow that cinnamon is strong. I wish I could say much about the tea but I almost couldn't taste anything over the cinnamon. It felt almost like drinking a glass of Big Red gum.
This tea was pretty good, not as bold as I would expect from a chai blend and the cinnamon was very strong, it taste like a spicy cinnamon oolong instead of a chai.
More on the spicy side but my husband absolutely loved it! Especially with some honey and oat milk!!
If you’re into chai lattes, this is a must-try! The spices hit just right, with a little kick but nothing too wild. Super cozy and flavorful.
The best tea ever, all of family has become fans. Can have it with or without any sweetener, great also with a dash of milk. Super star of teas!!!
This was nice spicy cup of goodness. I was a little nervous about black peppercorn and chicory but it seemed to blend well with coco and cinnamon. I added spot of milk to my cup.
This tea smells and tastes great. I use it in rotation with the masala chai and so enjoy them both..
This tea is excellent, robust and very flavorful for anyone who enjoys chai. I enjoy it every morning. If you need a caffeine kick early in the morning this tea is for you!!
I add a splash of milk . I use two teaspoon and 12 ounces of water...
My favorite chai!! I Mix this with samurai mate and it is amazing!
Good stuff with moderate caffeine. I made it by seeping 1.5 teaspoons of tea at 212 degrees for three minutes
After trying this. I learned that I am not a fan of chai.
This was a very delightful spiced tea, with a bit more of a bite compared to some other chai varieties I've tried. It tastes just as good after resteeping.
Such an awesome tea and really knocked it out of the park for an oolong based chai. This cup warms you while you drink and while some of the spices on the list tend to be background notes here I am loving how forward the cinnamon is. I love the flavor enough that while it is overshadowing some of the rest it really is that good. I added nothing to my cup even though with black based chai I will sometimes add milk and sweetener wasn't sure how the oolong would hold up to that and I am still happy with my choice. Instant favorite for me. 212° 8 min
I think I've found a new favorite. Immediately upon opening the package, the scent of this tea put me in mind of the holidays. The taste when steeped did not disappoint. This has a strong cinnamon smell that brews into a rich, spicy blend. I added just a dash of cream after tasting and fell in love with the warm, comforting taste and spicy aroma. I'm putting this into my winter rotation immediately.
decent spice, but otherwise a fairly faint tea... making it mid, as far as chaos go, for me.
Absolutely delightful! Its the perfect blend of cinnamon and is so smooth! I could not put it down I absolutely need more.
Oct '25: no complaints :)
Sept 24: still one of my favorites
so this really is more of a strong cinnamon tea with spices than a chai. that said, I really love it and ordered more. remains my favorite chai right now.
10/2/25 - Update - I really love this one and have bought the medium bag at least three times. I'm ready to upgrade to the big bag next time! I love the richness of flavor and balance of spices, tho def for a cinnamon lover. I add honey, no milk. Now I do 1 heaping tsp /8oz cup, 3 mins @195-200º first steep, sometiimes higher and longer for the second steep.
12/15/20 - I thought oolong worked well as the base for this tea. The oolong, chicory and cocoa nibs combined to add a nice richness to the chai. Though strongest on the cinnamon and the spicy cinnamon flavor, as reviewed by others, I could taste the other spices, too. I don't like red hots or hot tamales, but I really enjoyed this. Nice plain, even better w/ honey and vanilla almond milk. My CommuniTEA packet only had 1.5 tsps, so to meet the 2 heaping tsps/cup ratio, I had to make less tea than I normally would, and it was gone too quickly, though I guess that means I liked it! (5 mins @ 212º)
This tea was a great way to start the morning with a nice blend of spices that sparkled on my taste buds.
Nice chai scent and pleasant chai flavor. The aftertaste is missing a black tea boldness, but it's still pretty good.
A new favorite that I discovered from the advent calendar I purchased for the holiday season. This is perhaps the best cinnamon infused tea I've ever had. I loved it so much and I've never been much of a chai drinker. What makes the difference, I think, is the oolong tea itself. I don't know what else to say, it just works so well together. I'll definitely be ordering it again.
UPDATE: Even 3 years after my original review (Feb 2022), this tea is still a favorite of mine. If it is ever discontinued, I think I would cry!
Alone, this tea is a pleasant and inoffensive chai. Mixing with Samurai Mate is a real treat and an old favorite.
I can usually get a couple of good infusions out of this blend! I really appreciate the oolong base, as I find the Ceylon black tea blend that adagio uses is too bitter and conflicts with the sweeter spices. I like this blend, but I'm not the biggest fan of chicory, and I don't like the sweet cinnamon flavoring, but overall it is still enjoyable!
Really like this chai, and it’s nice that it’s an oolong based one
This was a great gift for my friend with a similar name to the tea.
It is a very polite, unchallenging chai. The kind you would serve to your granny who thinks orange marmalade is spicy. I prefer my chai on the spice forward, make you sweat, needs milk to mellow it out side of the scale. Your mileage may very. Get the sample and check it out for yourself
Raji Oolong Chai Tea has become one of my absolute favorites. From the moment you open the bag, you're greeted with a warm, spiced aroma that promises a rich and satisfying experience. The blend of oolong tea with traditional chai spices is perfectly balanced—neither overpowering nor too subtle. The spices come through beautifully when steeped.
It’s clear this is a high-quality blend, with fresh, aromatic ingredients.
I sat smelling it so long I had to reheat my cup. Definitely prefer this one on the sweet side though and hot. Nice bold flavor but the cacao notes don't work for me in cold tea.
I blend Raja Oolong Chai with Samurai Mate and Masala Chai to create a fabulous hot tea. This has easily replaced my old Teavana favorite.
