This chai was tasty, but a bit heavy on the clove. I don't know if it just happened to be that batch (I got it as a sample), but the overpowering clove made me not appreciate this one very much.
This tea is lovely, nice and spicy and well-balanced. Not too strong in either direction (I have had some chais where the clove hit like a truck). I like to pair it with vanilla coconut milk (boxed) since I can't do dairy and it's yummy!
This is some darn good chai, if you're a chai person. It's a mite spicy if you leave it on the tongue for long enough, but the smell alone will wake you up. I have yet to make it the way you're *supposed* to, with cream and honey and all that fun stuff. I imagine it's delicious if you do it right. I just never have.
This is one of the spicier chai blends I've tried, and I'm not complaining. It's difficult to find one of adequate strength. As with all chais, it's much spicier in the bag, so you have to play around with your brewing/boiling times to find a good balance. I'm going to order a full size of this one for sure.
I recently tried the Masala Chai after not having had it in several years. I used to love it. Well, apparently they have changed the blend. The appearance of the blend is much different, and OMG, the cinnamon is overwhelming. it's all I can taste. The spices used to be nicely balanced. Please change it back.
Wow, this tea has some kick! I've never had chai tea, and this was a great first experience. The smell from the bag is delicious - absolutely wonderful. I gave it about 6 minutes to steep and experimented with a bit of milk, honey, and Splenda, until I found a good balance.

Reading so many reviews that it had a 'bite', 'bit too spicy', etc I was looking forward to a strong chai. Made via directions but with one more tsp added it had 0 taste? I'm one that cannot take spice normally at all but I love spicy chai. Next time I doubled it, it is spicier but also bitter. The rooibus vanilla chai has loads more flavor and I made that one with milk added. Disappointed.
This was one of our favorite teas and we've been drinking it for years. Suddenly it seems as though they changed the formulation and added a ton of cinnamon. It completely overpowers all the other flavors. I hope they change it back.

This is a great chai that bites back. (It's the cardamom I think.) You have to be pretty careful not to overbrew because it can get pretty spicy. Brewed as directed, this tea with a little milk and honey, maybe a shortbread cookie, is a great tea to kickstart your day.

This masala chai is the best I've ever had! I've had chai's from several restaurants, even one's that would brag about how they were 'original' and that they were direct from who knows where. All I can say is maybe it's because I mixed it myself with sugar and milk, but this is the best chai money can buy! It's spicy and flavorful and with a little milk and sugar it's a most delicious way to end my day. If you haven't ever tried Chai this would be a great place to start!

This is some of the best chai I've ever had. Very gingery and spicy. Makes a great latte with honey and frothed milk, also good plain, which isn't always the case with chai.
I'm new to chais, but thought I should start with one of the classics. I like this one a lot--interestingly complicated, but with citrusy overtones.
This is a very good chai. I drink it when I want a change from the chocolate chai.
Simply put, I love this tea. It is so spicy it is almost painful sometimes, but, goodness, is it addictive! This chai needs no dressing up and is like a motivator in a drink. Highly recommended for those who want a drink with a kick.
THIS...is what all chais should be. Rich, round, full-bodied and eminently nommable. This will stay in my cupboard and be replenished often! Develops nicely by allowing it to steep much longer than a regular afternoon tea. longer steep times allow the spice flavors to emerge.
This is a very strong chai, but also one of my absolute favorites. Take it with milk and honey for an awesome experience.
Good stuff. It's a typical chai with a bit more of an eastern flavor to it, if I'm remembering right. With milk and a bit of sugar, easily something great for a night in.
we drink this regularly. my boyfriend prefers it two teaspoons chai, one teaspoon plain black (usually irish breakfast), no milk. i brew it straight up and add a bit of cream. delicious!

Chai is my favorite so I was excited to try this one. I added a teaspoon of Thai chai,steep it for 5 minutes,added sugar and a little bit of soy milk and it was perfect!...YUMMY!
This stuff is pretty dang good! It smells amazing. Be prepared to have a great smelling house when you brew! The spices mix well together when steeping, and the smell hits your nose just before the tea cup reaches your lips, so this is a very sensual brew. I like to add just a wee bit of ground black pepper to the mix before steeping to give it a little bite. Otherwise, it is a mellow, sweet experience. Either way, definitely a 'must have' tea for the newbie or veteran.
I first got a bit of this when I started my venture in to teas. I'd only had chai latte from Starbucks, and rather liked it, so I thought, why not try some loose leaf. I have to say, it's a huge difference... in a good way. This chai taste more down to Earth, more homey. I still have to throw some sugar in there, but it's a nice cup regardless!
I finally found a chai tea bag that come darn close to the masala chai brewed by my favorite tea shop. I could never get mine to taste anywhere near what they were able to produce until I brewed your chai.. YUMMY
Although I don't have much experience with Chai tea this is delicious and I would recommend it to anyone. It has a nice bit of spice and is sure to satisfy!

The one thing I miss most about India is the hot, flavorful masala chai available on almost every street corner. I have been madly searching for a blend that compares to what I had in India. Adagio's has come the closest. Other blends of masala chai that I have tried (including chai lattes at the coffee shop) were just awful. I have tried several ways of brewing this chai. The best way is to brew the leaves in boiling water first for 5 minutes, then to add milk and let it continue brewing for another 5 minutes. Add a little honey and you're set. Mmmmm so spicy and delicious.
Beyond tea, I also made some delicious masala chai chocolate truffles using these leaves. Phenomenal!
I clearly should have read some other reviews before I had my first cup of this, because I think I may have needed to seep it longer. Like someone said, the bag only says five minutes, whereas the masala chai page says 7-10 minutes. I like my chai spicy and I was disappointed at the lack of spice in this tea. I have 3oz of it though, and it's certainly good enough to drink the rest of it.
Like many others here, I hate to say that I prefer Teavana... but for my chai, I like the spice of their Maharaja chai more than this one. I was hoping for more spice flavor in my tea! It SMELLS wonderful, but doesn't have the kick I was wanting. Also, as another reviewer said, the bag only says 5 minutes, compared to the 7-10 on the site. With milk and sugar, still a decent cup of tea.
Wasn't sure at first about this, but as i drank it I loved it more and more. I'm super picky about chai too. I added a little bit of half/half and just a touch of honey. All I had was the sample pack and now the big bags are sold out!!!
This is a great tea. It's a little bit on the spicier side, but that's not really a bad thing.
I love the spice of this tea. It smells and tastes like Christmas to me. The flavor isn't as overwhelming as some other teas I've tried and it is lovely with just a touch of sweetener and a splash of milk. It's also awesome on ice. Perfect for any time of the year.
I'm a big fan of chai, and this was the first loose-leaf one I've tried. It's so full of flavor, and it's excellent with cream and sugar.

This is a nice chai. I was expecting a little more natural sweetness from it. The spice and clove is quite strong. It's nice, but I definitely need to add sugar and milk to it.
