★★★★★

This is a great chai. It s pretty strong and spicy and it takes to milk well. One of my all time favorites.

★★★★★

Very good- I prefer Raja Chai with Samurai Mate though and that blend is very hard to live up to. I might try to find something to blend this with.

★★★★★

My favorite chai ever. I like a strong, spicy chai. Delicious with a touch of maple syrup and a splash of whole cream.

★★★★★

This Chai tea is one of my favorites!! The spice and tea combines to create a very eastern flavor with touches of cardamom, clove, ginger and all-spice. I make a big ceramic mug in the morning, (especially since it has been so very frigid here), and add a splash of milk the authentic creamy chai experience that I enjoyed when on business in Bangalore, India. An exotic and fulfilling morning drink.

★★★★★

I ve only tried supermarket quality masala chai before and loved the scent, but didn t have much flavor. Now I ve tried this proper tea, it easily has become one of my favorites.

★★★★★

This is truly my favorite tea. I add a little almond milk and some amber crystals and I drink this in the morning and sometimes the afternoon. Like others, I think it would be better with just a little extra cinnamon, but I like it as is as well! So yummy!

★★★☆☆

This is a good tea. Not quite 'Indian culture' tasting enough for me but it was good.

★★★★★

This is one of the few chai blends that I have found that is spicy enough for me. I love my chai with a kick! It has a great balance of ginger and clove. Be careful not to over brew or (like any black tea) it will end up bitter.

★★★★★

One of our favorites, it's spicy and rich but smooth and just a great taste.

★★★★★

I really enjoyed this tea. It has a nice kick. The spices are great for a old snowy morning. Will buy again!

★★★★★

Love this tea. A great blend of cinnamon with just enough kick.

★★★★★

I love Chai Tea. So much so that I named my dog Chai Tea. Thoroughly enjoyed this chai. I will be buying it again.

★★★★★

amazing and spicy!!! love it so much with coconut milk!!!

★★★★★

My favorite of all the chai blends! I add fresh ground black pepper, brew it extra strong, add stevia and soy milk for a great start to my morning.

★★★★★

This was my favorite black chai tea from adagio's sample of chai teas. I've been drinking this tea first thing in the morning for a nice little kick of spice. I drink mine without milk or sweetener, and it tastes just lovely without it. Update: I had the sample chai again last year, and I still find the masala chai to be my favorite, even compared with the more popular Thai chai. (Dina)

★★★★☆

I liked this tea but I was looking for a substitute for the Teavana Samurai mix and this isn t close.

★★★☆☆

This is a fine chai tea. The cloves in this are very strong, so I prefer the Raja oolong Chai.

★★★★★

India in a cup. Great spice mixed with honey. For a special treat blend with ice and soy milk for a delicious cold drink.

★★★★★

Delicious tea! Nice spice flavor to it. Delicious hot or iced with cream.

★★★★★

A lovely sweet and warming tea. Perfect for an afternoon break.

Best chai tea on the site. So if you like chai tea, you gotta try it sometime.

★★★☆☆

Okay not my favorite. Has a little bitter taste not as sweet as most chai's are

★★★★★

Add steamed milk and vanilla syrup for the best chai latte you'll ever have. It's got a deep, strong flavor, and more cloves than you can shake a stick at.

★★★★☆

No complaints other than the steep time. 7-10 minutes is far too long for this tea. I recommend no more than 5 minutes at 212 degrees F.

★★★★★

A nice spicy chai, great with honey and milk. It also mixes well with other flavored teas from adagio like vanilla or cinnamon.

★★★★☆

Very nice chai. Not too strong but still is warm and contains your favorite chai spices.

★★★★★

I brewed some of this Masala Chai hot and drank it and it was tasty, but I think this is really meant for making lattes with or at least mixing with some milk or cream, in my personal taste. The spices are delicious and next time I brew this, it'll be as a latte and I know it will be delicious.

This is the first Chai I have made at home. I love the fragrance. I enjoyed it both hot and cold.

★★★★★

This is quite possibly the perfect chai. My mom's favorite tea is chai, and this one instantly had her approval.

★★★★☆

Love any chai teas so this one is great. Probably among my favorite fall teas.

★★★★★

This is an amazing Chai! I love the smell and the cinnamon taste is perfect’n

★★★★★

Excellent! I recommend this blend 100%! Purchasing samples is a great way to test the tea!

★★★★☆

Similar to the maharajah chai from Teavana stronger cinnamon flavor but nevertheless a very pleasant tasty tea

★★★★★

I really love the spicy notes of this tea. I specifically bought it to blend with two other teas and it worked beautifully.

This is a true strong chai. It makes your toes curl as you sip, waking you up and transporting you to a place without looming deadlines or work -- it's only you and this hot cup of chai. But once you've finished, you feel awake and ready to face the day.
The only thing I wish from this chai was that it had a little bit of a sweeter aftertaste. Some chai teas have banana or licorice to smooth out the end, and this one doesn't. With a little milk and sugar it's a delight and the perfect morning blend, but for an afternoon chai, or something to relax with, I tend to wish for something with a bit softer aftertaste.
I only use a teaspoon and steep for three minutes, as I find the longer steeping makes it get bitter. If you want it stronger, (which I sometimes do), I recommend you just add more tea and leave the steeping on the shorter end.

Wasn't a big fan of the Oprah Chai but this has a clove kick to it and make a very good chai latte.

★★★★☆

Not bad, I wish I could find a Chai that wasn't so over powered with the clove. Most of the ones i have tried are either clove strong or black pepper strong. I love the spice, but a bit more balance to the spices would be amazing.

★★★☆☆

This is a passable masala chai, but I would much prefer it to be made with an Assam tea rather than Ceylon. I find the Ceylon to be too bright to match the warm, heady spice of masala chai.

★★★★☆

I loved the Masala Chai, it was the perfect blend of spice and warmth for a cold day.

★★★★★

Tasty, playful tea with soft, complex flavors. I wish the flavors were a little more bold so I will make my next cup a bit stronger. Flavor is more like an herbal tea, but it does have a light caffeine kick. Very enjoyable tea. I bought extras to give as gifts.

UPDATE: I decided to rewrite my review after giving this chai a second chance. This time I brewed it longer than the bag recommended and made a latte with it. Done this way it was pretty good!

★★★★★

This tea smells and tastes delicious. It is good both with and without milk.

★★★★☆

Havent tried this tea on its own. Mixed it with Raja Oolong and Samuri Mate. Really good mixed together. I like the unique flavor. Lots of flavor. Kinda spicy.

★★★★★

Awesome chai blend!! Love this one in the afternoon since the spice is a great pick-me-up.

★★★★★

Really good, I just have to be careful not to over steep it. It gets a little too..strong, if I do.
It tastes divine iced! Absolutely love it cold!!

★★★★☆

A decent chai. Strong on the cinnamon and black tea notes, could use a bit more other spice for complexity (more clove and cardamom maybe). Use whole milk to enhance the richness, and give a long steeping time to get more fullness.

★★★★★

What a great comforting tea. Perfect with a little milk and sugar.

★★☆☆☆

I hate to say it, but I’m not a fan. I love a strong Chai and, for me, this is not it. I have made numerous adjustments to my brewing process, but it just hasn’t made a difference for me.

★★★★★

This is my absolute favorite chai. Strong, spicy and makes a fantastic chai latte.

★★★★★

Next to the white chai, this chai is a favorite of mine. It's a wonderful chai to start off with if you've never had chai before!
