Was hoping for a stronger flavor but it's still delicious. The ginger overwhelms the other flavors, though subtle as they are the combination is warm and lovely. I don't usually add anything to my tea but a bit of milk may actually benefit this one and blend the spices together better than they do on their own (and make it a more traditional cup of chai).

Not bad, but I like my chai SPICY and this wasn't it.

Up there with the best masala chai's I've ever had

Good, wish a bit stronger, steep for at least 5 min

This is an all time year round favorite in my house. My whole family loves it. Perfect balance of spices and sweetness. Love it with honey and milk/almond milk. Hot or iced any time of year.

This is a classic Masala Chai and Adagio has done a great job with it. Perfect balance of all of the classic Chai spices.

Too much clove for me. This just tasted like black tea and cloves.

Love this spicy tea! Great flavor. Love it with milk

Has a strong bite, I would recommend this tea to some one who is a fan of hot tamales, fireball, or spicy cinnamon in general
★★★★★
Just a classic, enjoyable chai. Nice spices, and is wonderful for cooking too.

Warming and spicy goes great with honey and oat milk. I got about four or five steeps around 20-30 seconds each. It was great each time

Well balanced and flavorful a great into to chai teas

This tea is yummy and spicy. It's great with milk and sweetener!

My CommuniTEA packet had a lot of cloves so this was a nice spicy chai. I added honey and half and half for the first steep and added Rooibos vanilla chai, half and half and a honey glaze leftover from basting my ham for the second steep. both were delicious!

Considering the strong smell of this blend, I expected a pretty strong flavor and was, therefore, pretty underwhelmed. It wasn't bad, even though I don't like spicy teas and this was pretty heavily spiced, but it just was not for me.

This is a nice basic chai. The addition of warmed milk is an enhancement to this blend.

I'm loving the warm spice flavors during the winter. It is a stronger chai then the others I've tried from the CommuniTea so far. But there definitely wasn't '2 heaping tsp' - the suggested amount for an 8oz serving - in my CommuniTea packet. This made it a bit difficult to try it the way I prefer, sweetened with milk.

Drinking this plain I give it two stars. Adding sugar and cream bumps it up to three stars. For my tastes it is too cinnamon heavy, and the spices combined are so potent that I can't really taste the tea. That said, the fact that it is so spicy makes it hold up well to sugar and cream - but I want to enjoy my tea plain. I have received this several times as a sample, and I haven't really enjoyed it any of the times I've tried it. (reviewed through CommuniTEA; 5 min @ 200F)

A really nice blend, pretty good on spices (I like a lot of cardamom in my chai, but I can add that myself). I like a strong chai, I would say definitely use heaping teaspoons... maybe extra teaspoons.

Too much of the heavier spices. Completely overpowered the black tea, I feel like I M on Dune.

The Masala Chai tea is a good spicy blend of rich flavors that warm your stomach. The ginger adds a light kick, especially as it cools. As a warm cup, no sweetening is necessary unless your looking to smooth out the flavors even more. Then a touch of honey and cream really make this a winner.

Masala chai was perfect for my mood today. Definitely has a kick, which I enjoyed! We've tried a lot of chais and spiced teas through CommuniTEA lately, and this delicious, classic masala chai is now on my top chais list. I could taste all the elements with clove and ginger most forward, the flavors were balanced well, and this cup made me feel a nice mix of cozy and energized! (...and cleared my sinuses a lil bit too!) Delicious with just a little honey, or with honey and vanilla almond milk. The additions accentuate the flavors nicely.
The only downside is that trying this through CommuniTEA, we have only what's in the packet to try. My packet had one level teaspoon, instead of the two heaping spoonfuls to make an 8 oz cup, so I had to make a tiny cup of tea to get full strength. I can't really put that into my rating of the tea, though! Luckily this made a nice second steep, too. (8 mins @212º)

Everything appeared present in my Communitea packet today. This was a nice chai, but not as spicy as I was expecting. I still really enjoyed it though.

I enjoy Masala Chai, and it's one of the few teas I appreciate more after adding milk. The only other chai adagio offers that I may like better is Thai Chai.

I first tried this as some suggested with a little milk. Later I made a large mug with only sugar. Which I am very much enjoying on this cold day. My communiTEA packet had a lot of cloves. However, no one spice overpowered the other. Instead, they blended together to make a smooth, warming cup of tea.

I'm not a big black tea drinking. The flavor was good, not to strong, it just wasn't one that I would drink alone. I think it would make a good base or add to a oatmeal cookie recipe.

I love a good strong chai, so I was very happy to see this beautiful tea, lots of lovely spices and a wonderful aroma was noted.
Unfortunately, the sample size was so small and I am aware that I usually use a LOT more tea to make a chai, so I added a large spoonful from my own package of masala chai to supplement the small portion size. I brewed it up and added a small dash of maple syrup and hot frothed milk, and voila- a beautiful chai latte! The taste was absolutely wonderful, smooth, spicy and so satisfying. The only thing I would change about this tea would be to add some additional cardamom flavour as I felt this was a tad weak on that spice, I will actually add a few cardamom pods to my own package. Great chai blend, definitely gets 2 thumbs up from me!

This tea is fairly close in composition to.Constant Comment, though I prefer the latter with it’s inclusion of orange rind. I’ve never been a huge chai drinker (which means this month has been more of a challenge than those prior) but this one isn’t terrible. I find the spices overpower the tea leaves themselves just a bit which CC tends not to do.

Wonderful tea and perfect for a cold winter day. Though to be honest I love a good chai on a hot summer day too. Something about the blend of warming spices and tea that just make it a soothing and satisfying cup.

This, to me, is the classic chai. Balanced flavors (I often pick on with more of a hit of something else, but the balance is rather superb), great with milk or on its own

This tea is really good for someone who truly loves stronger teas and chai’s. I am a fan of chai teas but I do find it much stronger than what I u would usually go for when reaching for a chai I consider drinkable.
That being said, it’s not bad but freshly brewed for 7 mins yielded a very potent brew even with milk and sugar added. I wouldn’t purchase but would try again with a 3-5 min brew time.

Super assertive with the Spices on a 10 min steep. I frothed it up as a latte but added more milk & honey to tone it down i maybe team Raha oolong too. I think this tea made need practice to know how to prepare it for your liking. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA December box. After a month of theses spices I'm a little fatigued.

A good and mild chai. Not something I would keep on hand but a very nice cup for the experience. I drank mine without almond milk for a switch.

Todays tea was a perfect winter day chai. Adagio didn’t disappoint with all the flavors showing up in my tea, with a little less spice, making for a yummy and scrumptious chai latte! As it steeped, the pleasant aroma left lingering made me feel so warm & cozy. It’s black tea blend played nicely with so many flavors but wait the only note missing, that chai peppery kick. If you want to try a lighter spiced chai, this tea is the one. Don’t forget to add a dab of cream & a touch of honey then sit back with a good book and enjoy each sip. (12 mins @ 212°F)

Everybody was present in my communiTEA packet this morning. They weighed in at just at 2.2 grams (a little over 1 tsp) and getting ready to enter the ring for some action. As a side note, I use this one as a base tea for my Mai Chai blend to which I add anise, lemongrass and red peppercorns to make it an even more authentic spicier Indian chai. I add some sugar and milk to meld all these flavors together.
From start to finish, this chai was pleasantly mild with each ingredient providing an equal amount of flavor. The milk smoothed the spiciness and the sugar provided some sweetness that made your mouth smile. When all was said and drank, this was a fine example of Indian Masala chai. 🙏 (7 mins @ 212ºF, 1 tsp sugar, 2 Tbls 1% warmed milk)

I do love a good chai and this one is a winner. Just the right amount of spices. Would be curious to try this side by side with the raja oolong chai to see how they compare.

It’s a good and spicy chai but would have preferred a bit more spice or perhaps more tea in the Communitea sample packet. I tried it plain first and then upon further review of Adagio’s description, I added cream and sugar. The cream and sugar tied all the flavors together to create a creamy, slightly sweetened chai.
