Lovely strong af, very good with all the milk and sugar. I prepared it with just steeping so not like boiling it but it turned out wonderful!
'Masala' means 'blend of spices' and 'chai' is simply 'tea.' Inviting fragrance, invigorating flavor, warm finish.

Lovely strong af, very good with all the milk and sugar. I prepared it with just steeping so not like boiling it but it turned out wonderful!
One of the best chais I have ever bought. It will be my chai from now on.
a nice, solid masala chai; not too watery, and the range of spices blend nicely in the cup
Good though I prefer a stronger, richer flavor than the thinner spice. It's a little thin on the spice but maybe I'll try brewing it in hot milk for something really rich.
Chai tea is delicious, and this is no exception I add a bit of cardamom and warm 1/2 and 1/2, and on a cold day it’s lovely.
A very nice chai though a bit more cinnamon than I like. Still it does a good job of balancing the sweet and spicy notes.
Although this chai resembles many others, it offers a nice blend of chai flavors, sweet and spicy in a nice balance, with inviting aromas.
This has become my go-to chai. It's nice and spicy, and its wonderful for cold days.
Nice flavor, warm, comforting. Left an odd after smell in my kettle though
lovely chai! it's a super good spice blend. I definitely recommend it.
The perfect chai. Lots of depth, but not too bitter or earthy.
If you love a really powerful blend of spices this is for you. It was a bit too much for my preference so I created a 50/50 blend with Ceylon Sonata.
The ideal cup of chai! I admit I was addicted to a certain chain stores chai and I wanted a similar spice mix at home. This hits the spot
Excellent classic Chai tea that smells like the kind you get in a certain coffee chain (ahem) but without the overly sweetness they have. Perfect for cold and holiday drinking to keep warm.
Solid performer! You can’t beat the value for quality at Adagio. This Chai in particular feels cinnamon-heavy to me, but not so much so that I won’t continue to buy it.
Way too heavy on spices, especially cloves. The tea flavor is drowned out.
Best Chai I have ever had. Put a little honey and cream in it. It is so good!
I have this every morning as my wake-up tea. I use two tablespoons of tea in the tea ball. Once it's steeped, I mix in about a tablespoon of sugar and 1/4 cup milk. If you can froth the milk, that's even better. I love this tea.
It wasn't as spicy as I was hoping for. I let it steep a little longer for more spiciness but then the black leaves got kind of bitter.
I like the taste of this tea, but I find I have to use half the 'recommended' amount or it becomes way too bitter for me.
I think this one should be called clove chai because that’s the only true flavor I could taste.
One of the better chai blends I've ever used. Very fragrant and kept its spice potency even for a second cup
I am not a Chai lover, but wanted to try this—it is good, but perhaps a bit of much clove in it.
Sting note that are not overwhelming. Great for the mid morning when you need a boost.
I love a spicy Chai, and this is certainly spicy. It can be too spicy if over steeped.
My bestie says she has to be in a specific mood for Masala Chai. I am new to chai teas in general, and so far I have enjoyed zero of three varieties.
A wonderful chai tea! I like mine with a splash of milk and a spoonful of honey.
Interesting flavor I was not expecting. It is good but I haven't made up my mind yet whether I will get it again.
Delicious blend of spices and black tea, giving a lovely cozy feeling while drinking it.
Love chai teas and this is a wonderful and tasty one! My CT packet had an enticing spicy aroma. And when brewed, the strong spices partnered well with the bold black tea taste. The clove in my packet gave this chai a nice depth of flavor. The first steep was full bodied while the resteep was much milder. Chilled, the cold tea was flavorful too with the spices nicely tamed and well blended after being refrigerated for a while.
My CT packet had 4 g / 3 tsp of all ingredients. Brewed 16 oz. at 204*F for 7 minutes, the recommended time and quite a long steep for a Ceylon tea but with good results. The chai spices covered any astringency of the black tea and complemented its tannic taste at the finish too. A sweetener add brightened all flavors and I opted for a bolder taste without a dairy add. This classic chai is used in many of my favorite fandoms; a cup of any one of them warms my heart and soul deliciously.
2020 Dec. 27 Masala chai is a favorite of mine. I like the flavor blend of cinnamon, ginger, and clove in a black tea base. With milk and sugar added, this tea becomes spicy, sweet and soulful. A real pick me up.
made this as a milk-heavy chai latte! about 2/3 milk, 1/3 water with some honey and frothed until foamy! super delicious and warming, and wonderfully spiced
Very bold spice Chai today. It was especially nice with a little cream and sugar!
A nice compliment of flavors, I think perhaps the 10 minute steep was too long for me. The spices overwhelmed the tea flavors. Very Tasty hot, rather meh cold
A nicely spiced chai, definitely one I add sugar to though to balance out the ginger (and milk of course).
A wonderful, balanced chai. The tea is nice and warming, especially for colder mornings.
This is a delicious tea love the spices, a great chai tea (200 @ 5 min).
I liked this tea - I had a packet from the black tea sampler, and you can bet it won't be in there long. The spicy flavor was a real pick me up on a cold and windy day. This is a great steep.
Adagio's Masala Chai follows through on its claim: it is a tea with a blend of spices. Although clove and ginger dominate, they blend with the other spices to create a strong, spicy tea that stands up to milk and sweetener (honey, in my case) well. As the cup cools, the clove and ginger mellow allowing the cardamom to shine and the cinnamon to come forward. Still, the spices are well balanced with each other as they should be in any good blend of spices. The spices give the tea enough strength that it would certainly do well as the base for a chai latte, especially at Adagio's recommended strength of two teaspoons per eight ounces. Since I am not generally inclined to make a latte at home, I prefer a rounded teaspoon for approximately 8-10 ounces. Otherwise, the spice becomes too strong even with the addition of milk.
I love a good chai! I make it extra concentrated and turn it into a dirty chai latte
Delicious, especially when boiled directly with the water and milk!
2022-02-24 Update: The same familiar spice aromas burst out of today's packet as it opened. I noted that the packet said 7 to 10 minutes at 212°F, so I decided to try out the longer steep time.
This time the tea was extra bold and full of strong spices, the perfect strength for adding cream and honey! The result was a delightfully sweet and spiced chai latte. Delish!
2021-12-28 CommuniTEA Review:
The scent of strong spices and plenty of cardamom met our noses as we opened today's packet. A
5 minute steep at 212°F produced a rich amber-brown tea.
Warm cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and clove mixed with bold black tea held together with the rich tapestry of spice. This sample had plenty of ginger root and cardamom inclusions, much to my delight! Cardamom and brisk black tea make a perfect pair, while cinnamon ginger and clove lay down their strong spiced zings.
Adding a bit of cream and Orange Blossom honey transformed this spicy blend into a decadent Chai latte. It went perfectly with some toffee we got as a Christmas present.
Nothing beats a good spiced chai... which is literally what masala chai means. Sure enough, it lives up to its name.
This is a really nice chai. I didn't expect to love it given the overwhelming number of cloves in my sample (and I don't love cloves), but the spices went together really well. For my personal preferences, I would take out some cloves and add some orange peels. But, all in all, this is a well-blended chai. Yum!
This tea makes a delicious chai latte. Nice mix of cinnamon and cloves. I'm sipping with the communiTea and I would probably use more tea for a stronger brew if I had it..
This chai seems to be very clove-forward, but not to the point of being overbearing, striking a perfect balance between the other flavors. Overall, it's a delicious chai, I may have to pick up a bag!
With such a long brew, there is some black tea astringency, but this sip is dominated by ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom flavors. When I added creamer, these otherwise mellow flavors did build to a moderate warmth. I prefer a spicier chai, but this is certainly well blended and made for an enjoyable breakfast latte!
Beautiful blend of spices in this one. So smooth yet so spicy. Great combo of flavors. Great with a bit of cream added.
This spicy chai makes the perfect latte. Even better when it’s topped with cinnamon and ginger. This is one of my favorite chais.
I usually prefer teas plain, but I think this one really shines with a bit of milk. The spices are good and sharp, and I think a bit of creamer elevates this tea to a spiced treat of a drink.
Jan 31, 2021-Nice spicy chai. Cinnamon and clove forward, nice with cream and sugar.
Update- I added a star because this is quickly becoming my husbands favorite tea.
My fave tea ever! Strong Cinnamonny and Clovey and Cardamommy fragrance hit me when I opened the CommuniTea envelope. I enjoy the tea both cold brewed overnight as well as steeped hot, with the addition of Stevia and a splash of milk. This is a top notch tea that keeps delivering a flavor punch steep after steep.
