I can taste mostly just the cinnamon and ginger in this tea, with a hint of the chocolate. It tastes good, but there is plenty of room for improvement.
Exotic Masala Chai flavors from India paired with dark chocolate. Soothing cocoa, zesty warmth, seamless texture.

I can taste mostly just the cinnamon and ginger in this tea, with a hint of the chocolate. It tastes good, but there is plenty of room for improvement.
I quite like this tea, the spice and chocolate combined give it a full flavor and it’s absolutely perfect with a splash of milk.
I enjoyed this chai very much with some coconut/almond creamer. I LOVE chocolate, so I only wish that flavor came through a little stronger. Spices are just right.
I drank this with some rock cane sugar and a little bit of oat milk. I could definitely taste the spices, which I liked, but I think that the chocolate flavor ruined it. I think if it were a vanilla flavoring paired with the spices, it would’ve brought them out more. It wasn’t unpleasant, but I wouldn’t purchase any more of this one.
I didn't like how the spiciness of the chai mixes with the cocoa flavor.
The chai spices are the star here and the chocolate is more in the background. I liked this blend and think it would benefit quite a bit from a splash of milk or cream.
The expected spice and warmth of chai is balanced perfectly with the sweetness of chocolate. This is best with milk and sugar, but just a bit.
Make sure to not steep any chai too long, they can get far too spicy to drink!
Great desert tea. Love the cinnamon and chocolate together.
Not a fan. I taste the chai and I taste the chocolate, but the combination somehow made the two bland.
I had been mixing the chocolate truffle tea and other chai teas and decided to just go ahead and get this one. It's very nice. Spicy and chocolately all in one.
Smelled mostly like cinnamon to me. Brewed fine like the other Adagio teas I've tried, but I expected more flavor.
I like this tea quite a bit! Not one of my favorites but still delicious!
This tea has a great flavor. I looked high and low for a chocolate chai tea.
Not my favorite - I definitely could not taste any of the chocolate.
I mix this with the Rooibos Coco Mint and it's very similar to Teavana's white chocolate peppermint tea, only without the residue from the chocolate.
It is one of my favorite teas to drink any time if the day!
A wonderful interpretation of the concept of a chocolate chai. I m a big fan of chocolate chai, also known as a mocha chai or mochai (the names do not necessarily imply the inclusion of coffee in the blend, though some people do that as well; I usually don t.) Usually, I make this simply by brewing a regular chai in milk, then adding some cocoa powder and whisking it all together to make a frothy hybrid of hot cocoa and chai. However, this is a different take on the same general concept, and while I m not always in the mood for its specific combination of spices, I find it very soothing and appealing when I am. I haven t tried brewing it in milk yet, but brewed in water, it has the rich deep roastiness of the cacao nibs, plus the warm spiciness of the chai spices, bound together by the mellow black tea. A wonderful winter or evening tea, though if you re sensitive to caffeine, you may want to drink it in the morning instead. It s definitely a tea that improves with a splash of milk and a little honey or sugar, but it s also just fine without either.
Note that my brewing time and temperature are influenced by the fact that I live at high altitude. You will want to brew at 212 F unless you are also at high altitude. I also vary the brew time based on how strong a flavor I want, so the reality is that I may brew for anywhere from 3-5 minutes.
A very yummy chai. Perfectly blends chocolate into the chai flavors I know and love
This is one of my favorite teas. It has a nice Chai spice along with mellow cocoa flavor. What could be better? I add some honey for a bit of sweetness. It has a high level of caffeine so I drink it in the morning.
For a chai, it’s delicious. Very malty and smooth. Good flavor for all the chocolate lovers out there!
I'm not keen on this one. The chocolate gets completely lost in the chai flavors.
Strong cinnamon flavor, almost as if I can taste powdered cinnamon while drinking it.
Nice taste but not chocolate enough. Could have had a bolder taste.
Very spicy tea, the chocolate is noticeable but the spice of the chai almost drowns it
Very good! I will often drink this as a dessert, as it is both warm and sweet.
Amazing tea. Wonderfully chocolatey and the spices are amazing together with it. Will order again!
This tea wasn't for me. The taste was only ok. I will gift the remainder of this sample to someone else.
sadly, not a fan. I tried a few times, but I think the ginger may be too strong in this mix.
We really like this chai, with sugar and half and half. The chocolate isn t too strong but it comes through well.
I didnt reslly get a chocolate flavor but it was a nice chai tea
This is my favorite of the chai teas I've tried. The chocolate is subtle, but I can definitely taste (and smell) it. It's good black, but I especially love it as a dessert tea, sweetened with a little milk (dairy and non-dairy both work well)!
It s ok. Too much cinnamon and not enough chocolate for my taste. If you like the chai flavors, I bet you ll love this.
This tea was just ok. I did not taste much of the chocolate coming through.
I really like this one it has a nice chai flavor, and you can taste the chocolate.
got this over the winter and it smelled absolutely divine! the taste didn't really stick with me, but with a bit of milk and sweetener, it was delicious
Nice chocolate addition to classic chai flavors. This tea is very well balanced.
A great dessert tea for sure...with milk and honey (or sugar), this is perfect for the sweet tooth!
A lovely chocolate chai that marries well with honey and a splash of cream. I typically do not like chocolate-flavored teas -- esp black teas -- but this one is spicy and sophisticated without the chocolate undertones added as an afterthought. It tastes very similar to the Chocolate Chai from Cooks Corner that I also love.
If a Renaissance Faire had a taste, this would be it! Lovely chai blend with the addition of chocolate makes for an enchanting taste!
Didn't have as strong of a chocolate taste as i was hoping for but it was still a great chai!
tastes like a drink you would pay 6 dollars for at starbucks
** UPDATED REVIEW** (two stars added)
I originally was not a fan but this tea is growing on me. While it is steeping, I heat cashew milk in my mug and add the tea to that when it's ready. After understanding that the cocoa nibs are unsweetened and supposed to be bitter, my palate adjusted better. I remain steadfast that this tea needs some cream and sweetener.
*First review*
I received some Adagio teas for Christmas and immediately became a customer and ordered more. This chai is disappointing - very bitter. I don't recommend this tea for a person who prefers to drink their tea unsweetened and black. I have to add sweetener and lots of creamer. Lesson learned: from now on I'll order sample sizes first.
Good flavor. Chocolate notes are just perfect. Kinda reminds me of smores.
Perfect mix of flavors. The spice notes compliment the chocolate well, the chocolate tastes more 'real' due to this.
Good but with the many Chai options, I wouldn't buy this again.
Good blend of chocolate chai flavors without being overpowering
I enjoy chai and I enjoy chocolate, just not together apparently. This is not one of my favorite teas.
I Love this mix! It is perfect on a cold day.
Not sure what I was expecting - but this tea was a bit of a disappointment. It's smelled really nice while brewing, but the flavor fell short.
Wonderful, full of flavor, but not too strong. I've also made sun tea with it - excellent
