Good flavor, not too bold or weak, just right. A good chai vibe with the chaga benefit. Good quality tea.
Chaga Chai is delicious straight up or as a latte. Blended with rooibos, chai spices, and a touch of coconut to make a warming, soothing cup with chaga mushroom for extra goodness.

Good flavor, not too bold or weak, just right. A good chai vibe with the chaga benefit. Good quality tea.
“ This is a nice, smooth chai blend. No earthy mushroom taste just great chai flavor with balanced notes ginger, cinnamon, and clove.
I wish i liked this tea, but the flavor is so mild. Would love stronger blend with the benefit of chaga.
really great spice level. I was afraid this would taste like mushrooms, but I was pleasantly surprised. Just a great tea.
I don’t know if there was something wrong with my package but the smell out of the bag was awful and the taste only slightly better. I am a chai lover so I honestly think there was something wrong with this batch.
My favorite caffeine free chai! strong spice without being too much. Great for the evenings when i'm craving something warming.
A nice spicy tea that doesn't burn your mouth. Goes great with cream. Looks good in the kettle, comes with nuts.
This is now my daughter's favorite tea. The spice is just right, not too strong but noticable. Perfect anytime of the day.
Really good flavor. Really enjoyed this blend! Wasn't bland. Tons of flavor. Didnt need any sugar...!!
Definitely a spicy chai! A nice chai alternative to black tea chais. A good pairing with chocolate and a little milk or cream.
Smooth, grounding, and robust, and less sweet than traditional black tea chai but add milk, cream or nut milk, the spices bloom, the Chaga mellows, and it tastes creamy, malty, and comforting — a bit like a cross between cocoa, tea, and root beer.
admittedly, I was concerned... once I realized what chaga was! But the flavor was simply a decent spice forward Chai, with softness and a natural sweetness to it.
This one was pretty good based on CT sample size pack. I have Zero experience with chaga so no clue about the flavor profile or notes to look for, but I didn't taste anything overly fungal or like mushroom broth like some pu-erh teas can have. Mainly what took over were the chai spices predominantly the cinnamon and cardamom with ginger background notes. The rooibos base was nice with its usual woodsy flavor and natural sweetness lending a hand here. While I don't know if I would miss chaga flavor, one flavor that I definitely wish was stronger in this one was the coconut. It was almost non-existent in my cup and I love coconut with chai spices. Added nothing to cup and found it pretty good. 212° 7 min
I am going to go with interesting flavor, not bad but probably not something I would have again. Thanks CommuniTEA for giving me the change to try it, because, you never know!
Although I love chai spices, and like mushrooms well enough, I’m not a fan of rooibos. I personally do not like this blend, but if you’re a rooibos fan, it would be a good option for a milder herbal chai.
Really mellow, so much so that I didn't even really think it was chai. Im surprised that it's mushroom and for some reason I even tasted mint. It was an interesting tea I wouldn't have tried on my own
I'm not a fan of mushrooms, but I figured I'd give this a shot out of curiosity. Plus, red rooibos tends to overpower a lot of things - but I think it finally met its match with the chaga. The chai spices definitely helped, but I couldn't taste any of the coconut.
Overall, it is a nice little pick me up as the weather gets colder. It is a chai but it's main bonus to me is it's decaf. Chai is hit or miss for me, and I tried this one hot. Perhaps it would be better for a latte? Either way, it smelled great while brewing.
If I didnt know what I was getting myself into, Id find it hard to believe that there are mushrooms in this tea!! The roobios is not too strong in the cup I had and the chai wasn't too overwhelming.
CommuniTEA sample: 7 min @ 212, second cup for 10 min @ 212. I have wanted to try this one for a while, just given the unique description of it! I don't know if I really could taste the chaga mushrooms, though. Mostly, I got cinnamon, maybe a touch of coconut. Otherwise, it was a fairly typical red rooibos chai blend. Certainly not bad, and I would drink again!
Very nice earthy taste with cinnamon and chai spices. Rooibos herbals are always enjoyable.
I’m a big fan of chaga and functional mushrooms in general. It’s a very pleasant chai and I like that it’s a rooibos base and so caffeine free. Would love to see chaga added to other teas as well.
Very smooth, sweet tea with a slight spice. Great tea for an evening drink.
This has a very nice spiced flavor. I like it mixed with vanilla green tea for just a little caffeine.
This 'tea' had an odd flavor, which I think may have been the chaga. It almost felt like it was numbing my taste buds and preventing me from really experiencing the other flavor notes. It also left a spicy 'burn' aftertaste on my tongue but without the enjoyment of really tasting spicy notes--such as the ginger--while drinking the 'tea.'
Creamy and smooth with a dessert like quality. I enjoyed this greatly. Lots of delicious spices without being overwhelming.
While I am not normally an herbal fan, this particular blend hit the right marks for me. I got the ginger immediately and love it. As it lingers, the cloves kick in, and this tea brings back memories of college days. Another sip switches my memory/palate to holiday meals and comforting meals with family. I am pleasantly surprised with this tea.
I am a big fan of mushrooms and was attracted to this initially because of the mushroom ingredient. While I understand most folks don't want to taste mushrooms, I was actually looking forward to mushroom flavor. I didn't get any mushroom flavor. It turned out to be just fine.
I really like this tea.
I wanted to like this more, especially since I enjoy other adaptogenic mushroom drinks. However, both bags we tried had a faint residual taste of what I can only describe as dish soap. We steeped the tea for less time to see if that would help, but no luck. Not a favorite.
Pleasantly surprised with this one. There is no earthy tinge from the chaga; it’s a pleasantly spicy and warm blend.
So warm and comforting! The spice level is just right. It's slightly fruity with a note of cinnamon. The cloves aren't overwhelming (but then, I like cloves). This is definitely a wintertime, cozy tea.
This was a gift for my bestie and next door neighbor. She absolutely adores this tea and therefore I give it the full 5 stars. I plan to get more for her when she runs low.
The spice level is good. I find myself only needing a touch of cream and/or sweetener to lighten it up a tad
This is a subtle chai. I prefer a bolder cup, but someone who likes less spicy teas will probably enjoy this one.
This stuff is fantastic! I love a good, strong chai flavor that gives the taste of chai without the extra caffeine. I will certainly be adding it to my favorites list!
I love that this one include mushrooms. I love the health benefits of this tea. It’s an undated classic
Good but my tongue was a bit numb by the end with the spice levels. I think steeping a little under the suggested time would make it perfect
I'm not sure what changed, but I definitely do not like this as much the second time around as I did before. There's a weird aroma and off-putting mid-palate flavour that cancels out my potential to enjoy the spice and coconut in this tea. I don't know how I liked this before, to be honest.
I so wanted to love this one. I wanted a decaf chai for evenings and the notes on this one sound so delicious. But I didn’t taste any coconut. It’s light on the spices. All of that would be fine if there wasn’t something about the smell and taste that was very acidic and reminiscent of acid reflux…that’s very off putting and idk if anyone else has had that experience but I had my husband drink it without telling him my opinion since he loves chai as well. I thought maybe it was just me or my taste buds were off. But he thought the exact same thing! I wish I could figure out what it was that caused that flavor. The roobois? The mushrooms? Idk but I don’t want that ingredient again.
Nice chai. Parodoxily, this tea energizes me. This is surprising because it’s caffeine free. I suspect it’s the mushrooms. The taste is spicy (cinnamon) and goes very well with milk and honey. I recommend drinking this tea in the morning. It makes great ice tea!
The tea itself tasted alright, but the scent coming from the tea keep me from continuing it as it would have made me feel a bit nauseous.
This tea has a great balance between the spiciness of the chai and the even flavor of a good and strong tea. I highly recommend it with the sugar crystals.
warm, earthy, and a little spicy. I might add this to my caffeine free roster- I love regular chai tea but this is smoother and doesn't really need a sweetener the same way
I love the funk to this tea! It is nice and earthy without tasting like dirt. Gets pretty bitter if it is steeped too long, though.
LOVE!!! It’s so yummy and cozy! It has a perfect amount of spice.
One of my favorite bedtime teas. It is very warm and soothing and has the familiar chai taste without any caffeine.
Really lovely tea! Flavorful and rich, and great with some coconut milk. Not too overwhelming. Thanks for offering mushroom tea!
I'm a big fan of both Chaga and Chai. Wish I loved this more, but I'm still glad to have it on hand. Tastes great with some honey!
Really delicious before bed. I was worried about a mushroom taste but it really isn't an intrusive one ! Ordering more for after I finish this sample
Very soothing but with a fun kick! I’ve had other mushroom teas, and they often taste like dirt… but this blend is so good! I wouldn’t have guessed there were mushrooms in it.
I've been trying a bunch of different Chi teas. So far this one is the WORST! This one tasted and smelled like a dirty dish rag. THE worst tea I've ever had.
