Wowzers! I opened up the tea package and this amazing pineapple/ coconut scent wafted up. A true tropical Pina colada experience!
Upon steeping, the nose only picked up pineapple, and the taste was almost a tin-like flavour. You could really taste the tea leaves.
Upon adding a tip of a teaspoon of clover honey, the nose remained pineapple forward, but the tongue could taste the coconut. I could also taste the clover honey too much, so in the future for white teas and this one in particular, I would choose a sweetener that doesn't carry its own flavour.
As I sipped and let the flavour linger on my pallet, it left my tongue very dry, holding onto a pleasant aftertaste of pineapple with a hint of coconut.
I am not typically a fan of white tea, but I am a huge fan of coconut. Adagio's 'White Tropics' may be the first white tea I think I will return to.

I love white tea. The flavor of White Tropics is lightly fruity and quite pleasant. I was getting 'sunscreen', but in a good way.

Not for me. Smelled fruiter than it tasted, barely any fruit flavor noted, with a floral flavor so mild it was barely there. Sugar, honey, nothing made the flavor more intense. Barely any fruit was noted in packet. I may have just been unlucky, but I could not finish the pot.

Nice and breezy! I drank this one hot and loved it. It’s very subtle, a lighter tea than most of the Adagio tropicals that I’ve tried. I like a heavy punch of coconut; so maybe I’d steep mine a bit longer.

Decent pineapple coconut combo. Brewed to a pineapple yellow color, more pineapple flavor than the green rooibos paradiso. But I don't love the white tea, even cold brewed it was a little bitter. I enjoy the more coconutiness of the paradiso.

A nice, fruity tea that puts me in mind of other fruity white teas such as white peach. If you like those, chances are you'll also like this one!

Communitea Review: The scent of this tea smelled wonderful. Unfortunately, I didn’t taste the fruit flavors listed when I brewed it. Probably wouldn’t drink again.

Like a soft kiss shared in front of a setting sun, this blend caresses the tongue sweetly and subtly. Let yourself get swept away by the tropical flavors and dream of the possibilities of tomorrow.

This white tea with its own subtle flavor is surprisingly refreshing when paired with pineapple and coconut. I really didn't think I'd be a fan..I was very pleasantly surprised. Good refreshing summer tea.

A pleasant enough white tea, just not a favorite. I find you have to brew it longer to cultivate the flavors. I am getting alot of the coconut and very little pineapple. Did not taste any rose. I would not purchase this for my personal stash. I think there are better tropical teas out there, and a tropical tea is not something I want to drink everyday.

Delicate white tea. I enjoy this in the evenings. Very mild tropical taste of pineapple and coconut. Aroma is lovely. I wished the flavours were a little stronger. I did not add honey today but as noted by others it probably brings the fruitiness out more.

Cold-steeped, at least, I found this tea unbalanced. Despite the very promising aroma of sweet pineapple when I opened the CommuniTEA pouch, the resulting overnight brew yielded a cup that was overwhelmingly coconut forward. Any pineapple notes were entirely lost. The white tea base brought some astringency to the party, but otherwise, one might have a hard time distinguishing this tea from coconut water. (Note: This reviewer does not care for coconut.)

I really don't like coconut so I expected not to like this. However, I didn't taste a lot of coconut (which might be a disappointment for some) and the pineapple brightened up the white tea to give it a rich, fruity flavor.

I prefer the decaf versions of this flavor combination. Since you don't brew the white tea for as long I feel like you miss out on the depth of flavor. Maybe cold brewed for longer I would like it.

Ooh, I like this. Light and tropical - not too sweet. Can definitely taste the coconut, which I love. Good hot, and so refreshing cold. This is going on the list!

Nice and light coconut and pineapple taste going on. Very pleasant. A bit light for an everyday tea for me, but pleasant.

10 oz, 3 mins @ 180* F, divided
Hot with crème and sweetener: I just recently had Decaf Tropics (part of my mystery tea box), and this tastes just like that..only, rosier? Maybe its my imagination or maybe Its my CT packet, but I don't recall the decaf being as heavy on the rose. The cream mutes it enough to make it drinkable, thankfully, but I may need to add cream to my cold version as well. Will see later on.. I might have to get upset with Adagio if they force me to begin liking rose...j/s. With the cream, I’m enjoying this cup.
Cold
I still needed cream to dilute the rose flavor; with the cream, this is an enjoyable cup.

This tea definitely delivers on the tropical! The smell from the packet and the flavour when steeped are a mental trip to the beach. It was pineapple-heavy in aroma for me, which gave me pause, but it balances very nicely in the final product. Steeped 3 min @ 180ish.

In the bag: Similar to the Adagio photo, though I have far fewer rose petals. Also, the petals I do have are tiny by comparison.
On the nose (pre-steep): Pineapple and coconut are clear scents. Hint of rose. Undertone of sugar, and along with that as usual, a cloying nose feel.
In the cup: A golden brown liquor.
On the nose (post-steep): Coconut has taken the lead. Pineapple remains as a secondary note. Medium-to-intense. Only a touch of sugar, with a cleaner nose feel.
On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Coconut is the main flavor. I don't get much else, not even the light wood of white tea. There is some structure here, but it's hard to identify individual flavors.
On the tongue (post-sweetener): No change in overall profile, but the added sweetness nicely complements the coconut.
Opinion: A pleasant tea for casual sipping. It's essentially a coconut flavor with a muted white tea in the background for structure. The overall effect is tasty, if simple.
Preparation: First steep 3 min, second steep 6 min. Both @ 175 ℉. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.

8/26/2021 - Nice light fruity taste with bold background of coconut! mmmm! I drank mine hot, but I can tell this would be amazing iced!
7/10/2023 - I'm not really a white tea fan. The taste is always too light for me. But, this tea smells and tastes fruity and is refreshing cold brewed. I still prefer stronger teas, but this one is very good.

I loved the aroma and flavor of this delicate white tea. I’m not a fan of pina coladas (or getting caught in the rain), but this tea has a lovely subtle coconut and pineapple flavor that is refreshing. I steeped it hot for two steeps. I’m sure it would make a great cold brew as well!

This is an interesting white tea. It's not the greatest ever but it's a nice flavor. Sometimes the fruit flavors mix with the floral notes of the tea itself and make it a little odd / sickly though.

I was nervous to try this tea, but the coconut and pineapple flavors are very present without being too flavorful. A delicious tea to have iced in the summertime.

I thought this was nice, but the tropical fruit flavors somewhat overpowered the subtlety of the
white tea.

Very fragrant and coconut forward. Good with an added dash of fresh lemon juice.

This tastes great and smells even better when you have the leaves next to you in the strainer after you've pulled them from the cup. I didn't expect to like this one as much as I did. Very tropical. I'd be interested in trying this as an iced tea, which is a lot for me since I usually only enjoy hot tea.

Previous experience with this tea, cold-brewed, felt like much too much coconut and floral for my liking and no pineapple. Today through communiTEA I used 180F water and sipped along from hot to cool. My portion had one small bit of rose so there was only a slight hint of floral this time, however still no pineapple to speak of which is curious. The dominant flavors were coconut (though more mild this time) and white tea. I would like to try adding a touch of Kona pineapple tea, actual dried pineapple, or frozen pineapple cubes in order to get more of the intended flavor.

As promised, this tea delivered on the pineapple and coconut flavors. Because of the white base, it was very light. I cold brewed overnight and the flavors were smooth with a hint of sweetness coming through. (Reviewed through CommuniTEA; cold brewed)

This white tea was a sweet end to a warm day. I could smell the coconut upon opening. With my new kettle got the temp a perfect 180. 3 minutes. I would have like a bit more of the pineapple taste but coconut stayed front and center.

If your idea of tropical is coconut, this is it! Strongly coconut forward with a slight aftertaste of pineapple. The white tea base brings just enough astringency to definitively separate this from an herbal tea without the heavy bitterness of a flavored black. Overall, if I’m looking for this flavor profile, I’d prefer to reach for adagio’s pina colada, but this is a good follow up act!

Is that a beachy breeze ruffling my hair? Delicate white tea, creamy coconut, juicy pineapple, and a light floral note of rose make this a vacation in a cup. I enjoyed it hot today with monk fruit to sweeten, but iced would be awesome. I haven't tried the iced pouches I bought of the blend yet so I wanted to try today's sample warm to experience both ways and so far I'm a huge fan. Now where is my sunscreen?...
