White Symphony Customer Reviews

A delicate tea made from tea buds collected and withered prior to opening. It creates a pale yellow, light-bodied, yet complex cup with hints of honeydew and a faint floral sweetness.

A light. sweet tea. Good in the evenings as it won't keep you up at night and goes well with cream and without.

★★★★☆

pleasant tea, no complaints. just not my favorite. good white tea if you're looking for something mild without a super forward flavor.

This white tea has a fantastic taste and re-steeps very well. It's a very easy go to on a random day.

This tea just felt very plain for me. I think if you like plain white tea, this will be nice, but for my preference, it wasn't the best

★★★★☆

This is a mild tea that is pleasant to drink. It would work well to mix with other teas to make it a milder taste.

A good quality white tea with a pleasant sweet melon taste. The flavor improves after the tea cools down a bit.

The dry leaves have a pleasant smell. I suggest gong fu style for any loose teas. Adagio sells a gaiwan - a great start if you don’t have one. Long brews can create bitterness - and turn you off to a good tea. Adagio, I find sells teas for longer brews.. They are a bit weaker in comparison. . . However it’s a great place to get your everyday teas and explore many types.

This is a delicious tea. It’s a mild tea, just a touch earthy. Very similar to white peony. To me it’s not quite as strong. Maybe I need to steep a little longer. But I love it regardless.

A little earthier than expected. Definitely good just not something I’d drink every morning. It is good to mix with a very fruity tea.

Fine, but I think there is a lot of different flavors going on. It’s a bit muddy. I would just pick a single type of white tea for a cleaner taste.

Its good. Not as great as its sister silver needle, however its much cheaper and tastes great nontheless

A mild and floral tea, light gold in the glass, it is subtle and calming. A wonderful tea. 185 F for three minutes.

Dry from the packet this White Symphony presents as a strong, green, vegetal tea. Upon steeping, this blends true character is revealed as a bit unique. Your palate receives a sweet , almost honey like, silky treat that leaves a slight tingle on the tongue. There is an ever so slight floral flavor present but it works in giving this blend a unique vibe. I do not get a vegetal flavor at all when sipping this tea. I love that this blend does not give me caffeine jitters. I'm excited to try it chilled.

Apr 23rd, 2025: as smooth and delightful as ever, worthy of repeat steeps, with a sprinkling of rock sugar crystals

Oct 6th, 2023: a wonderfully deep tea, with sublties to discover with each sip, likely one of the best white bases I have ever sipped.

Delicate is maybe an understatement for this tea based on my cup. It could be sample size in CT packet, but I am banking more on personal taste preference and many whites being overly subtle. This tea was not unpleasant by any means. It just did not have much flavor at all. I did get the slightest floral notes and a pleasant if a bit dry finish reminiscent of some dry white wines which makes me wonder if this tea would have been kicked up a notch if I had tried it iced. Maybe next time around. 180° 3 min

CommuniTEA sample: 3 min @ 180 F. The liquor color is surprisingly dark considering it’s a white tea! And it’s VERY fragrant. I would say it lives up to it’s name, a symphony of scents, an orchestra of aromas, a fragrant philharmonic! I get notes of tea resin, toastiness, honey, wildflowers, dried grass, melon and a slight hint of perfume all in the first cup. The flavor isn’t as strong, but still has some sweet honey-like notes, and it’s got a very clean mouthfeel! Good for multiple infusions as well, although it does get weaker in successive steeps.

This is good as far as plain white tea goes. It’s just not my preference. White tea has so little flavor and leaves my mouth feeling kinda filmy. White symphony has more flavor than most white teas, the description is pretty spot on. It’s just that all the teas it’s compared to there are also not favorites for me.

I'm not usually a fan of unflavored white teas because I find them somewhat underwhelming. This tea, however, has a lot of personality- flavor, aroma, and mouth feel. There is a soft floral sweetness that dominates and just a hint of earthiness to accent it. The finish is clean and lingering, like a trace of rose or lilac on the air. 4/5 just because white tea is not my favorite but a must-sip for any white tea lover

White Symphony is mild and inoffensive but I'm not fond of it on its own. I prefer a tea with a more well-rounded, deeper flavor. I'm glad I tried it. It combines well with other teas to add a bit more caffeine to the mix, so as part of a blend of other teas it's quite acceptable.

This is my every day white tea! It has much of the light and clean taste of a silver needle in a better price point and also taste less grassy than peony!

I wanted a light bodied, low temp tea and thought this might be just the ticket. Ultimately I still prefer greener oolongs for lighter flavor profiles, but was happy to try this white tea for comparison.

This is a lovely pure white tea, the kind meant to be sipped slowly in reflection. Floral is not a favorite tea characteristic of mine so I appreciate that this was softly rather than overtly floral and slightly honeyed.

Update: 3 min @ 165. Nice pale gold liquor. Hint of floral, pleasant light flavor.
****
I got a musty grass smell from the opened packet. I expected the scent to be a lot lighter. 180 for 1 min was a pale golden liquor with floral flavor. The second steep for 2 had more color and some grassiness and light astringency. Third steep I forgot to set the timer and was probably around 3 minutes was very grassy and astringent, no longer floral. For white tea I prefer jasmine silver needle over this. I still want to try this cold brewed.

I thought this one was an exceptional tea. I would probably prefer whites over black teas if the caffeine were higher because white teas seem more complex with delicate flavors. This white was no exception to that belief!

★★★★★

Opening today's packet revealed fuzzy silver white tea leaves and buds. A 3 minute steep at 180°F produced a pale golden colored tea.

Mild light honey notes with a floral white tea backbone give this tea some texture. Some slight-astringency lingers after each sip, keeping this crisp and nicely dry. Some mellow vegetal notes round out the delicate flavor.

This one delivers quite the symphony of flavors for a white tea! Excellent!

A light floral white tea. This tea has a natural sweetness. It is good with and without sweetener. I enjoyed a little added honey

I think white tea just isn't for me, but that's not the tea's fault. I'm giving 4 stars because it's a good white tea. It's a bit grassy, a bit honeysuckle, a bit melon. But only a very, very tiny bit of all of those things, which is why I don't love white teas. If you do, this is a great one. :)

★★★★★

Not my favorite, my tea was very strong for a white tea and rather astringent. Pass on this one I think. March 2024 This time the tea was light and flavorful, much less astringent than the last cup I had and was the perfect accompaniment to my lunch salad.

This is a very mild fruity/floral tea. I get a bit of earthiness when drinking the first sip, but it moves straight into a very mild floral tea with fruit notes. It's a great tea when ur looking for a very mild tea to relax with.

Loved this tea! The floral notes are very light and I love the slight sweetness to it. Someone noted that it is similar to honeysuckle, I think that's exactly right. A beautiful cup!

3/5/24 update: I noticed how the white leaves brighten and come alive when touched by hot water. I think the quality of water used is important with this. Lovely.
10/6/23:This is a really nice white tea. Not too floral and it was surprising to me that it was indeed sweet. Not sure I'd keep this on hand, but it was enjoyable to try with the communiTEA.

Delicate, mild, pleasant. If you're a big white tea fan, this is probably a great pick. For me, it's very nice but not distinct enough to feel as special as the description suggests -- just a nice mild tea, probably best without accompaniment.
