Today's CommuniTea packet was jasmine silver needle. I love silver needle, but preferably without jasmine. When I opened the packet, it smelled floral, but not as much as I was afraid it might have. It brewed to a pale yellow and the jasmine scent in the cup was much stronger than it had been in the packet. But luckily the jasmine was lighter to taste than it was to smell, not totally overpowering the taste of the tea. Pleasant to drink, even with the jasmine. (Brewed in 8 ounces of 180° water for 3 minutes)

Now THIS is true jasmine. Unlike the rooibos version, there isn’t an artificial smell to it. Typically I don’t enjoy floral teas but this is an exception. It adds very little in terms of flavor, just a gentle aroma that lends more to the experience of the tea than the taste. If you find jasmine green to be astringent, I’d suggest trying this one. Typical to white tea, it is very mild in both flavor and astringency, but the jasmine is just as present and not overwhelming. This is a light tea that’s a delight for all the senses. It’s meant to be sipped and inhaled as you relax and let the day’s worries drift away.

Writing this review while sipping my fourth infusion of this tea. Every cup has been a pleasure to drink. I steeped 2 grams of tea in 8 oz of water at 180° x 3 minutes. The delicate jasmine flavor was perfectly balanced with the white tea. Tasted lovely warm and cold, and with/without sweetener.

I would describe this as delicate and subtle. You must like jasmine to enjoy this, but the flavor is lighter than others I've tried. I got three good steeps that were all pretty equal in flavor. (Reviewed through CommuniTEA; 3 min @ 180F)

I have to admit, this is the first Jasmine tea I have actually enjoyed drinking. Usually I drink them only because someone was nice enough to buy one for me at a restaurant, but before today I never enjoyed Jasmine tea at all. I basically choked it down or poured it out when I got home. However, I fully enjoyed the taste and sweet scent of this tea. Yes, it reminded me of my grandmother. Not her perfume, but the fresh scent of Jasmine that would grow in her yard. I am now anxious to try more of Adagio's Jasmine teas. I steeped this twice and it was just as delicious the second time.

This tea included many firsts for me – my first white tea, first jasmine tea, first CommuniTEA tea, AND first tea review. I had no idea what I was getting into on the one, so when I opened up the package, I was greeted with a soft, floral scent I was unfamiliar with. Not overpowering, a bit airy, and the tiniest hint of fruitiness.

On taste I had a very lightly flavored tea, the silver needle feeling like a light, spring breeze. The jasmine maintained its floral, almost fruity flavor from sip to swallow. It was light and airy, reminding me of days when the redbud trees bloom.

That said, I did not enjoy this tea. I was not grossed out by it, nor did I actively dislike it. I just didn’t actively like it either. If I had to drink it, I could with ease. But I would not choose it ever.

2 Stars – Won’t purchase; will only drink when offered if turning it down feels rude.

(Disclaimer – I am an uncultured tea drinker in the infancy of my tea journey, so my palate is very undeveloped. This review will likely be of service to other novice tea drinkers only.)

This was a surprisingly strong white tea. I breathed in deeply to enjoy the lovely scent of jasmine. It smelled so natural; nothing like the artificial smell of the rooibos jasmine last month. Such a relaxing tea that brings me to my happy place. Going for a 2nd steep. Enjoyed as part of the communiTEA.

I have not liked too many jasmine teas but this one might be my favorite so far. I definitely prefer the scent over the taste. The scent reminds me of walking in a garden in the summer. The taste of this white tea is very light and not overpowering.

I once received something that tasted so much like rose I thought I'd bathed in potpourri. From the small bite I swore I could still smell it in my nostrils for days afterwards and now when floral touches my tongue my mind endures the atrocity anew.
I'm sure it's a great tea, the silver needle nuances were pleasant and overall the taste was light, a perfect compliment to the spring-like day, but personally nothing could overpower the jasmine.

This is a delicate yet straightforward jasmine tea. The jasmine is not too overpowering when compared to other versions. This one had a slightly brothy mid-palate but it only added to the smooth and mellow nature of this tea.

Jasmine is one of my favorite teas, but this this the first time I’ve tried it as a white tea. As soon as I got my May communiTEA box and spotted this gem, I’ve been counting down. I was not disappointed. Tried it at the end of a long day and I didn’t want to drink it right away - I just wanted to breathe it in. Unlike the rooibos jasmine, this has an authentic jasmine scent and is aromatherapy all on its own. The flavor profile lived up to the smell. While light, as expected for a white tea, it went surprisingly far. Usually I need to drop my water ratio to handle a white, but this was full flavor in a 12 oz mug through two steeps. It was floral, which for me is a positive. However, even if you aren’t a floral fan, give this a try. It doesn’t quite punch you in the face flavor wise like some florals can!

I thought I liked jasmine/floral teas but maybe not so much. This is a very nice tea but for me personally it was too strong on the jasmine. The beautiful white silver needle is overpowered by the jasmine. If you are a jasmine lover then this is the tea for you.

Part of the May 2021 CommuniTEA box. The Silver Needle adds some mouthy twang to the jasmine that I don’t really find appealing. It’s pleasant enough.

From the smell I expected this one to taste very perfumy but it's actually a very light floral! I steeped my CommuniTEA packet for 4 minutes. It tastes like jasmine. Nothing makes it stand out very much but I like that it's light and fresh rather than perfume-y. The flavor isn't weak despite being light. When resteeped for 5 minutes, the flavor is still there when you're drinking but it doesn't really linger afterwards. It's still worth resteeping, but it's a different experience. The 2nd resteep was similar, though a bit weaker despite using less water and steeping for an extra minute. I would buy this tea to drink again, but it's not worth going out of the way to have on hand if you already have other jasmine choices.

I like the jasmine scent, it smells amazing when steeping. As for the flavor though, I can only handle light jasmine teas. This one definitely has a lot of oomf behind it. So I have to say I enjoyed the smell more than the taste.

I enjoy jasmine teas and found this one delightful. The jasmine is fragrant and the white tea is a smooth base. I have had some jasmine teas that left a strange aftertaste, but this one does not. It is delicious and smells fantastic!

Typically jasmine is one of my favorite herbals but I was quite underwhelmed with this choice. The flavor just wasn't there. I expected a more intense floral yet it was so light I barely tasted the jasmine. Hoping to find better luck with one of the jasmine greens.

I'm not a big fan of most jasmine/floral teas, because they're usually too strong. This tea is delicate and elegant. The smell isn't overpowering (I do like the smell of jasmine) and when brewed, the tea smells more of 'tea' than jasmine. Sipping it, it comes through but not in an overpowering way. The white tea really compliments this. I honestly enjoyed this more than every jasmine green tea I've ever had. I wasn't expecting to like this one, but I really did. Bravo Adagio!

Today's CommuniTEA packet released a floral jasmine flower scent, and contained furry slender leaves. Steeping at 180° for 3 minutes produced a very light yellow colored tea, similar to a white tea in appearance.

The silver needle is excellent on it's own, but this blend steps it up a notch with the added jasmine scents and flavors. The delicate and intoxicating aroma pervades the rising steam, and is present in the taste of each sip. The jasmine adds something new to this type of tea. The wispy silver needle tea blends perfectly with the light floral qualities of the jasmine, without being bitter at all. The finish is moderately astringent yet light and airy with a lingering jasmine fragrance.

This tea is a nice surprise, and really shows how light and delicate a jasmine tea can be. A lot of other jasmine green teas can get overly bitter, but not this one. It retains the light aspects of a great quality silver needle tea, while combining that with a light and ethereal jasmine.

I tasted this tea today, and remembered all over again exactly why I fell in love with Adagio's communitea! The ability to try so many new teas, as well as different blends, and share opinions with like minded people...What a great concept. But taking my first sip of this tea, was such an amazing surprise- I fell in love with the gentle taste, and elegant bouquet of this white tea. Since I generally prefer black teas, I was surprised to adore this one, but that is the very point of communitea- to taste, and keep an open mind, and to find new favorites. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that today's tea is quite polarizing- people seem to love it or hate it, depending on whether you like jasmine! I am not usually a floral lover (I actually usually hate floral teas) but this will be a wonderful exception. Thank you, Adagio, for constantly surprising me and for creating this communitea so I can keep trying and finding wonderful new (and old) favorite tea!

This is the cream of the crop of jasmine teas because of its high quality silver needle white blend. Featuring a light copper color (ivory) with a wonderful jasmine aroma, very pleasant and calming. For a jasmine tea this has less of a perfume taste than most and the white tea adds a sweetness that's smooth as silk, very little astringency. I would like to try the plain silver needle as it is quite expensive, this seems to be worth it, however I am not a fan of jasmine teas myself I did find it to have mood boosting stress relieving effects. The health benefits of jasmine puts it right up there with peppermint and turmeric as some of the healthiest teas you can consume.

Starting the week off with a relaxing white tea. The primary and really dominating flavor is that jasmine; having read up on how tea growers imbue their tea leaves to create jasmine tea, I imagine the white tea did not have a strong flavor to begin with. Even so, this floral flavor is still delicate and not over powering. It's a tea best drunk alone or eaten with something that does not have strong flavors.

I have never been one of those people who understood wine, coffee, or tea descriptions. I suppose I'm just not sophisticated enough to get it.

So when this tea description said 'airy flavor, delicate mouthfeel' I filed that information away under Not Classy Enough to Get the Reference.

But then I tasted this tea. And oh. Oh oh oh. Now I get it.

You know how some teas taste like they're hitting you over the head with a wiffle bat screaming 'YOU'RE DRINKING TEA NOW OK'? That's not always a bad thing. Sometimes it's a great thing!

But sometimes, you just want to drink a tea that delicately hints that you're drinking tea. Sometimes you want a tea that wants you to forget for a moment that you're actually, physically drinking tea (how prosaic!) and lets you believe that you're just floating along on a soft jasmine cloud.

Airy flavor, delicate mouthfeel? I get it now. And I'm all in.

I am a fan of jasmine teas. I have good memories of drinking jasmine tea with my father in law the last few years he was alive. The aroma from the packet is soft and sweet, not overpowering. I steeped as recommended. Brewed to a pale color and was delicate but flavorful. The jasmine is very light in scent and taste. What a wonderful tea !

My CT tea today was Jasmine ambrosia in a cup. It was a sweet-smelling airy nectar. The long greenish silver-white Jasmine needles brewed into a light golden peach-colored liquor. It had a very floral scented nose, Jasmine yes but almost Freesia like in it’s potency. I brewed 12 oz. using 2 g /2 tsp of tea at 175F almost 180F temp for just under 3 min. I found that the tea needed a little time to sit and blossom to appreciate its subtle natural sweetness. The hot tea had a gentler floral taste than its robust floral nose would suggest. I sweetened a little with soft flavored honey which livened up the jasmine flavor. There was no bitterness or noticeable astringency that I could detect and the delicate white tea base allowed the Jasmine taste-free reign. I resteeped this tea 2 more times at 8 oz., then 4 oz. and put a small amount in the fridge already sweetened. It was excellent when cold with the Jasmine flavor nicely mellowed by the chill. I will enjoy making this a go-to iced tea this summer.

Compared to the two other Jasmine teas I have in my cupboard, I feel jasmine Silver Needle is the most delicate of the three. Maybe because it has a white tea base while the other two; Jasmine Chun Hao (CT 2/15/21) and Jasmine Phoenix Pearls (CT 2/24/21) have green tea bases. The green tea base may add more weight, tang, and astringency to the Jasmine flavor, while the lighter white tea base allows the Jasmine flavor to be more lavish on its understated and celestial platform. If you like Jasmine then this sublime tea is worthy of using those dainty porcelain cups for a trial sip.

175 degrees for 3 minutes. The scent of the dry leaves remind me of what a rainforest must smell like, warm and green with sweet floral notes. The flavor of the tea is the loveliest soft jasmine on a buttery silver needle base that I just want to just keep sipping and sniffing. A truly sublime cup of tea. Thank you Adagio for putting such premium teas in our communiTea samplers!

Thank God this isn't as florally as Jasmine Phoenix Pearls, but more florally than Rooibos Jasmine. I would take Rooibos Jasmine over this as I don't care for Jasmine tea. Enjoying along with the CommuniTEA today: Very strong jasmine scents noticed from dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 2.5 mins at 185°F, floral jasmine fragrance blossoms, overpowering typical white tea minerality. As the tea cools, more minerality is detected on the nose. When I take a sip, I enjoy more strong floral jasmine with a slightly saline white tea finish. Good palate cleansing, appetite inducing tea.
