I ate so much on Thanksgiving and now my tummy is not happy. I am hoping that this tea helps with the bloat from yesterday. I have to go work for Black Friday at a retail store and I need to be in tip top shape. The smell is not amazing but I have had happy belly before from the health tea box. I like it alright, it's not super yummy but at least it makes me feel like I'm somehow helping myself. I definitely needed this today!

I like Happy Belly tea, it is one of my favorite Adagio wellness teas.

A clever CommuniTEA pick for the day after US Thanksgiving... But I'm definitely not the target audience for this one. Other reviews tell me senna is a very effective laxative, but I don't really need such a thing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Apparently I highly dislike the scent and taste of senna and/or slippery elm too. Not sure which, since both are unfamiliar ingredients to me. But something in there made me feel kinda nauseous when I sniffed it. So this tea would be pretty counterproductive for me.

I could go for a tummy tea with all the other ingredients though. That would taste all right, and address problems I do sometimes have, without an unneeded purge.

I loved the herbal taste, but people reviewing it are saying its a laxative, so im drinking a few sips, then putting it in the fridge to sip on over a few days.

Since I'm reviewing this through the CommuniTEA, I can't review it for the purpose you would normally buy it. As far as taste if you need a happy belly, it's fine. Medicinal, yes. Black licorice forward, yes. But, all in all, drinkable if you need tummy relief. (reviewed through CommuniTEA; 5 min @ 212F)

Honestly, super grateful for this tea. I ate too much last night and woke up this morning feeling awful. this tea helped out immensely. As far as flavor goes, it tastes a touch like black licorice but it isn't overbearing. A bit sweet and fairly mellow.

Very thoughtful of Adagio to offer a stomach soothing tea after the day of indulgence to the CommuniTea members. It tastes good but I’m not going to finish my cup as I’m not needing the laxative effect of the senna leaf today.

Good gosh! How about a warning that this should NOT be tried as part of the CommuniTea subscription w/o a warning that it is what it is?! Yikes! A few sips, reading reviews while waiting to upload a photo (which I NEVER do, but I’m so thankful I did this time!) and I’m pouring it out before I head out on the water-eew! Ain’t nobody got time for that! Thanks for giving me something to be really thankful for this year, Adagio review friends! #disasteraverted

This tea is too medicinal for me. A good home for this tea is the medicine cabinet.

★★★☆☆

There was an aroma of lemon grass and black licorice emitting from the CommuniTea packet. I do not like anise at all, cannot tolerate it in cookies, candy, etc. so I have some misgivings as I move forward. The tea brews into a deep rusty red/orange, and there are hints of ginger in the aroma. However, the taste is very complex - there is a great deal going on here. Strongest flavor, unfortunately to me, is the anise, which is supported by tangy citrus and warm ginger. The chamomile adds body with the peppermint, but together they leave a weird taste at the finish. Adding honey provided some sweetness, but not enough to enjoy drinking this cup of tea. Since this is more of a healing tea (the ingredients are all good for an upset stomach) this is a great drink to imbibe if having issues there. (5 mins @ 212ºF).

i have a litany of health problems, so i thought i'd give this a try. despite my skepticism, it did help (mildly) settle my stomach! a great alternative to ginger tea--just don't drink too much of it.

My son has digestive problems and this helps calm down his stomach, however, the last pack of tea bags had a very large clump in them that we can't identify. Not sure if it is good to use. Have contacted Customer Service, but no response has been provided to date. Don't want to use if there is a foreign ingredient in the bags that could cause problems.

This tea works! I had a cup at night and by morning, I was able to go. The taste was nice, though I added a little honey (less than a tsp). Works like a charm, naturally!

I was very surprised with Happy Belly. The smell didn't capture me at first, but taste was smooth and mild. A lot of varying flavors that come together to make a lovely tea.

It's a little too healthy tasting for me. I don't enjoy the taste.

I was expecting an unpleasant tea but this one turns out great. I add ginger spice for a more intense taste.

★★★★★

This tea is exactly what I need when my stomach is feeling unsettled. It's very light, with the licorice taking a back-note and the mint standing slightly forward. Overall, it has a clean, smooth taste that's as enjoyable as it is helpful.

★★★★★

I love this tea. It is very balanced. Anytime my stomach's feels a bit off this tea helps to soothe it.

Great tea to soothe a gurgling belly. Good if you want to avoid the spicy notes in ginger tea.

This tea is not only delicious, but it also helps calm my stomach when it feels upset. It’s both mentally and physically soothing.

I am not a fan of the very potent licorice end notes that lingered at the bottom of this cup. A little would have been nice, but this was overpowering. More importantly, though, my belly was not at all happy after having drunk it. I often use herbal products and was aware, going in and making the purchase, of the effects that senna leaf has on the digestive tract. But wowzers! I suppose it is a testament to this tea's freshness and quality that it was as shockingly potent as it was. This one is not for me.

★★★★★

I actually like this tea, after not expecting to like it, thinking it would overpower me with anise and fennel, as most digestion teas do. But this did not do that. Happy Belly has a pleasant taste and drinks easy. I did not require any sweeteners.

Has a kind of honey smell and I expected more of a ginger presence. It's good but I'm looking a ginger heavy tummy tea.

So smooth and so soothing. Love the flavor, though I guess I shouldn't drink daily because of the senna.

Fantastic tea for the occasional re-adjustment. It is easy to make perfect tea when you have velociTEA.

I suffer from digestive issues and whereas modern medicine has not been able to help with most of them, this tea has been magical! I try not to drink too many in a week as it it contains senna, but I keep my kitchen stocked with the biggest size available!

Not my favorite taste, to be honest (although that's likely just personal preference) However, i'll keep ordering this tea, as it does do a really good job of helping to settle my stomach when it is upset.

I was actually surprised that this tasted good? I figured this was more of a 'you drink it to feel good, not because it tastes good' kinda things but with sugar and a lil honey it was actually pretty nice.

Not sure I love the licorice flavor. Still a nice tea

★★★★☆

Definitely good for your stomach, but not a flavor you d crave. I added fresh ginger and mint leaves which was nice.

★★★★☆

Good taste and did seem to help my queasy stomach.

★★★★☆

I often have stomach upset and felt this would be a perfect match. I think the licorice flavor comes in too strong for my liking. I would still drink as it does have a lot of good ingredients for an upset stomach.

★★★★★

This is a great blend, with lots of licorice/anise flavor. My wife and I love it for upset stomachs, or just as a delicious evening cup.

This worked ;) the next day. The flavor is very crisp and Refreshing

Great if you have a bad GI, the slightest thing will set off my fragile flesh prison. If I walk down the bread isle it hurts. If I think about string cheese I'm bed ridden. If I even consider eating an egg god himself will descend from the heavens to beat me like a pinata. Trace amounts make me so queasy, and this tea settles the stomach incredibly well. And given the state of things, I'd highly recommend having a tea that can soothe upset stomachs.

★★★★☆

the balance of the different flavors is good, but could definitely be better. the mint is just a little too overpowering in this blend but otherwise it's very good

This tea is very spicy and ginger-y. Not a bad flavor, but I don t know if I d order it again.

Sometimes I forget to set a timer and steep it longer than 5 minutes. Thankfully, this has never lead to bitter tea as can sometimes happen. This is pretty gentle on the digestive system, but very effective. I will drink this in the evening and by mid morning things are moving ;-). I’ve also drank this with an upset stomach and had great results within minutes and no...bathroom needed the next day. I love it and have just ordered more.

The happy belly is an interesting flavor with a variety of notes. I find it a little more on the earthy side so I like to add a little honey to bring out the citrus and sweetness. I do find it helps to relive stomach aches so I highly recommend as a health tea!
