This is a complex blend of flavors for a bedtime tea. Valerian root can be overpowering, but this blend balances notes of earthier rooibos, fresh mint, and hints of floral and cherry. The mint leaves
One cup before bed makes for an ideal way to unwind and lull yourself into a deep slumber.

Goodnight 😴 Love it. Smooth, with or without honey.
I prefer an evening tea that is more chamomile-heavy. 40 winks had a bit too much peppermint in it for me.
I have trouble falling asleep. I just can't seem to shut by brain down and end up tossing and turning because I am worried about not being able to fall asleep. So, last night was the first time I tried this tea, and I really enjoyed it. It does have a slightly medicinal aroma, but I find the taste to be wonderful. Minty and not watery, I enjoyed the cup start to finish. Valerian root can be pungent, but I did not find this to be the case here. I am not sure if this tea helped me fall asleep or not, but I went to bed relaxed and fell asleep with no trouble. Try a sample and see if it helps.
Knocked me out! This may be one of my new favorite bedtime teas.
This is the perfect, gentle tea before bedtime. I was hesitant when I opened the package but in my tea cup it was delightful!
Great for bed, definitely needs sugar though. I recommend using demurara sugar
Great for calming down at night. I do find that it makes me a bit queasy if I don't as sugar
If you are looking for a great bedtime tea, this is it. The valerian root makes it smell unique but also makes it super effective, even for people who have trouble getting to sleep.
Love this tea!! Great taste and aroma to lull you to sleep.
I bought this tea because I have problems falling asleep and staying asleep. It tastes fine, but I really don't see where it is assisting with my falling asleep. And, unfortunately, drinking a cup of anything prior to bed means I'll be waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.
I’ve been drinking this during my nighttime journaling and stretches. It’s perfect for just before bed!
this is a very mild tea but not a great tasting tea, however, I purchased it as I have difficulty falling a sleep. It really does work, tried it last night and did fall a sleep quicker then usual
My mainstay to help me sleep at night. Delish and provides a great night of sleep without the hangover of drugs!
I m not usually a fan of herbal tea, but this tea was delicious. It was mild fragrant and flavorful. I love the hint of spearmint at the end. Definitely give it a try.
This one wasn't a favorite of mine. It's relaxing enough but the flavor and aroma are much too medicinal to me.
Insomnia, be gone. This stuff really helps me settle down for the night.
40 Winks is a favorite of my Adagio herbal teas. I enjoy its fragrance filling my bedroom, either before I go to bed or during the night when I wake up (if I hadn't had a cup before bedtime). My husband also likes it and credits if for a good night's sleep. I must note that I use less than one level teaspoon per my large 9 oz. mug., and I only steep it for three minutes in boiling water. 40 Winks is also good for a second steeping, although I steep it a little longer for the second time around. I use a packet of Equal for my large mug, while my husband uses locally sourced honey.
Doesn't taste good. Do not recommend. Will not even finish the rest I have.
Really great at helping put me to sleep- and it tastes great too. I ve never been in love with a tea as much as this tea. It s truly the best sleepy time tea I ve tried yet.
I really loved the flavor of this tea and it was very relaxing.
The first time I had this all-natural tea, I couldn't believe how sleepy it made me. I definitely recommend it before bed, but beware -- valerian root can cause some people to have loopy dreams.
I was slightly hesitant to get this one because of the Valerian Root, I know that herb can be incredibly overpowering. I dove in anyways and ordered a sample and read previous reviews. I did not steep this one as long as I normally do with the majority of my teas. Glad I didn't, I steeped for the recommended amount of time and it came out perfect. The valerian was not overpowering the way I thought it would be and the chamomile and peppermint complimented each other wonderfully. I think I found my evening tea!
This tea has an odd almost bitter taste upon first sip, then mellows into a calm minty/chamomile afterwards. I might try steeping less next time, maybe 10 minutes is too much for my taste. It was overall - okay and promoted a relaxed feeling before bed.
Love this. Bought a sampler and am back online to buy a large quantity. The taste is great, it is soothing and supports sleep. Really love it.
A nice way to calm yourself down before going to bed.
I thought I didn't like chamomile or herbal teas, but this proved me wrong!
Definitely noticed an improvement in my sleeping quality and duration since drinking this tea. Be ready to fall asleep when you drink it.
This tea really did help me sleep! So often I have trouble sleeping, but when I drink this tea, I definitely fall asleep faster. And it tastes great, too!
I have been drinking this for a week now and my sleep is already improving. Just placed another order of it!
great tea for calming down in evening. i add a touch of CBD oil and i m out within an hour :)
I drink this every night before going to bed. It's a nice end to the day.
Just lovely. Such a complex combination of several soothing, sleepy teas.
I sleep so well after a drinking a cup of this, and it tastes delicious too.
I purchased this tea to help me fall asleep. I only had one cup so far and it didn’t really make me sleepy but I will try it again. My favorite teas are fruity or dessert like teas so this is different from what I prefer. Valerian has an unpleasant odor and taste. The other ingredients do a good job masking that flavor. It’s just not for me.
Nice relaxing tea! This was great and helped put me to sleep
Amazing bedtime tea. I added just a bit of sugar. The valerian root helped me feel very sleepy most nights I drank it.
Even my kiddos drink a little before bed...we are loving it
This is my new favorite bedtime tea! I don't know if it actually helps me get to sleep but it tastes like it should!
I find this tea relaxing although I don't know if that's because it is tea or because of the tea itself. The strongest note in this tea is a sort of medicinal flavor. I believe it is the valerian root. This might be something I keep on hand as a night relaxing tea but it's not one of my must haves.
It somewhat seems like a tea that doesn’t know which way the flavor should be. It wasn’t bad, I did finish off what I had ordered.
I love this tea i have a cup before bed and its lights out. when I drink this before bed I seem to have a more restful night.
A cup of blissful sleep! Very glad I tried. Now a nightly regular.
Awesome tea. Truly relaxes me and my fiancé. We drink it before going to bed
This tea smells and tastes awful, and no, it does not make me sleepy. I'd be better off brewing myself a nice herbal blend from my own garden or a rooibos before bed.
This is my go to solution when I can’t sleep. It soothes and relaxes me and the next thing I know I’m nodding off.
Though I wish the valerian was more pronounced, I have to say I enjoyed the feeling of calm and taste I experienced with this tea.
Excellent. I changed over from Foxtrot. Smoother tea. Great way to wind down before bed.

40 winks is an earthy, mellow tea that will help relax you for bed. Chamomile is the strongest flavor of the four and is evenly matched with spearmint. Valerian root is, what I assume gives it it’s earthiness for lack of a better term. The only one I didn’t really taste much of was the lavender, which I think got easily overshadowed. But I wasn’t too upset since the three main flavors make for a very interesting night time tea as is.
As for its namesake... I definitely notice that I’m more drowsy after I drink it. I would probably get it again because of its soothing properties and interesting taste.

This tea was pretty good to me, but it seemed a bit flowery, which can be overpowering
