I've noticed it help me stay asleep rather than wake up in the night as I usually do, but the strong smell of the tea isn't very enjoyable and will stick to the pot after emptying it. It's not a flavor to really write home about but it's not bad either, overall I think I may still use it at times but it won't be a regular routine.

This is the tea that they cannot keep in stock and there's a reason why. My grandmother swears by this tea and tells everyone she can about how well it puts you to sleep. If you can get your hands on it, definitely give it a try!

Very good flavor! Love the option to buy small amount to try them out.

40 winks doesn't make me sleepy, but it is quite relaxing. With valerian being the main ingredient it is medicinal tasting. I blend with chamomile to soften the valerian.
★★★☆☆
This tea really helped relax me making it easier to fall asleep. However, the taste of the Valerian was slightly overpowering.

I love this tea... Opening the bag was a nostalgic flashback to my English Grandmother, Nora Pat. I could instantly envision her teapot with tea cozy and beautiful teacups that I remember from childhood. Tasted delightful with a touch of honey... slept wonderfully!

I got this tea mostly for my husband to help him get better sleep. We both ended up loving it. A great way to finish off the night and get cozy before drifting off to sleep. When we ran out we just went back to regular chamomile tea at night but it just isn't the same. Now we are hooked and will keep reordering this tea.

Very nice bedtime tea. It's fairly delicate and I like to brew it a little stronger than directed. A bit of an update - I had this again from the package a few months after opening and the cherries definitely tasted like they'd passed their prime. I ended up tossing the rest of the batch.

So good! My BF has a hard time sleeping. Please make more teas with valerian root and please work Kava into your future!

This has a unique a lovely taste. It has Valerian root in it which smells horrible and tastes horrible on it own. You cannot taste it or smell it at all in this tea. I was ecstatic to discover this. If you are struggling to sleep I would highly recommend this.

If you are looking for relaxation, you have come to the right place. It is like a peaceful wave washes over your mind and body. If I have a guest over, I often bring this out as our night cap...the next day they demand to know where I found it. There is a natural sweetness to this tea so no additives needed to enjoy. The only thing I will note is that this tea smells a bit funky...but that is the nature of valerian root.

My favorite sleepy tea! Calms my thoughts and helps me breathe deeply and easily. Also good when it's raining outside and you're curled up with a good book. Has an almost medicinal flavor, but not in an offensive way.

I enjoyed this evening tea. I didn't feel much of a sleep-inducing effect, but maybe that's just me. It's a very tasty and enjoyable cup.

a new favorite for me! i’ve always been skeptical of teas helping people fall asleep but i was definitely feeling a little drowsy by the end of my cup

This as strong spearmint taste and is a soft sweet back from the sweet chamomile. The sweet is like pineapple. And since it has chamomile I steep it for 5 to 10 minutes. And it does relax you and eases the body.

This is a wonderful sleepy tea. It definitely puts me in the mood to go down for the night.

The initial impression when smelling dry is surprising and floral. It has faint notes of what can only be described as feet. In fact, we call it 'foot tea' at home. It does the trick and helps you sleep in spite of the odd smell of valerian mingling with the pleasant floral presence.

Such a soothing and wonderful blend. I have been drinking this for years before bed and I love it. I have had terrible insomnia for over a decade and while this dose not erase the problem it has been an important part of my bedtime routine. The relaxing effects of this tea are only matched by the wonderful flavor. I can not recommend this tea enough!

A good tea for before bedtime. Kind of a weird taste from the valerian, but not as bad as some other valerian teas I ve had.

I’m a night owl, but also someone that absolutely needs to get 8 hours of sleep. This really helps me quiet my head so I get get to sleep and not have to mainline caffeine the next day. Some may prefer sweetener, but you may want to try it first to help determine how much.
