Love it! Very sturdy and I am able to see what the water is doing, so I can use it while just simmering for my greens or let it go to a full boil for my hardier teas.

This was quite dissapointing. I think the writing all over the sides of the glass looks terrible. If you have hard water, it also builds up a scale, which you can see all too well through the glass.

Great kettle, easy to clean, easy to monitor. Minor downsides, handle gets hot and they are not going to be around too much longer now that jenear is closing.

Very sturdy and handsome. I've gotten so many compliments on this kettle. No matter what, I always look forward to using it.

I love this kettle! I use it every night for my after dinner tea. The water boils very fast, and it's neat to see it through the glass. Eventhough it doesn't have a whistle I can still hear the water when it starts to boil from the living room. I also like that's it's glass and very easy to clean.

I got this for my sister as a wedding present. It's very attactive and, since it is colorless, will match any kitchen. Makes a great present for any tea drinker.

I love this kettle. It makes getting water for tea so much easier than my traditional family tea kettle (stainless steel) as I can see when it's ready. It's pretty too, easy to clean and use.

it does its job as a kettle to boil water but i don't know if it's that efficient. the lid gets extremely hot and it's impossible to pour water out with it still on because it can fall and burn you. there's no whistle so you can't exactly walk away from the kitchen while you're boiling. all in all, okay, but i wish i had thought more about this before purchasing.

I love this water kettle. Be very careful. Although beautiful and easy to use/clean, be careful of the slipping lid while hot.

Easy to clean and very pleasing to the eye. I love watching the water boil, with the flame from beneath it makes an incredible sight.

Very nice! Works great! It's wonderful to be able to conrol the temperature so conveniently and cleanup is a breeze. Very pleased!

I have been using this water kettle for over a year. It is nice to be able to see how far the water has gone toward a boil enabling me to judge better when to stop. This is good for teas that don't need fully boiled water. Even though it is glass, it is fairly sturdy.

I am having so much fun with this kettle! My 3-year-old loves to watch the water 'light-up' when it boils.

Very stylish and beautiful...I didn't realize that you could only fill it half way up, though...But it still boils enough water for my mikado kettle. Just something about a glas kettle...

I love this kettle! It boils quickly and I really enjoy seeing the bubbles go up. It's very light and easy to clean.

I'm 50/50 about this. I like: easy to clean, can see the water about to boil, comfortable to fill and hold. Dislikes: handle can get hot, lid gets very hot (take it off before pouring--it has fallen off onto my hand--ouch!), doesn't have a whistle. I continue to use it because it's as good as most of the rest, but will still look for the perfect kettle.

I love to watch my water boil in this pot, I will never boil when I'm not supposed to now because I know when to take the water off when I see the small bubbles appear.

This is the cutest tea kettle! I love that it's glass and that the handle is on the side. I kept burning myself with my old kettle, but not this one!

What a BEAUTIFUL piece of kitchenware. This is the most beautiful thing to have ever sat on my stovetop. I like to turn the kitchen lights off and watch the blue flame under the pot of water. The only bad thing about the kettle is that it doesn't whistle, and when I'm doing other things it never fails that I forget about it and come back to a half-empty pot. I much prefer it over other kettles though, as there is no metallic taste or residue or anything. TRY IT, if you've got the money to splurge.

I have read some of the other comments, and I need to say that I really love the silence of this kettle. When I use this to prepare water for my tea, I have to stop and listen to it. I have a solid state stove top which is black, and the glowing red element under the clear teakettle on a black background is very calming to me.

I will be the first to agree that this kettle may not be the most practical item in your kitchen, but as a part of the practice of brewing tea to calm yourself at night or to enter the awake world in the morning - this is a great tool!

I bought this for my mom for her birthday. She says, 'I absolutely love it!!! This is the best tea kettle I have ever encountered. It heats fast and evenly, is a breeze to clean up, and after a few uses I can gauge, within a couple degrees, the temperature of the water just by looking at the number of bubbles in the kettle. I couldn't have asked for a better present.' I think everyone should own one of these.
