expensive for what it is, but the controls on the handle and the easy open top are nice features. pours pretty well. heats fast. hoping for longevity.

update: 1y later, nope, not great longevity. I am having increasing trouble with the button on top opening the lid, and the print on the buttons is wearing off. I don't think I make tea that often (kettle in use an average of once or twice a day, so this is disappointing for the price. Pour is not smooth and I do often make a mess with my impatience. I still do value the entirely steel interior and the easy button control on the handle.

update: 2+ years. it's now shorting out my breakers, so goodbye. might repurchase, but I think I can find the same features for less.

poor controls. steam will burn you because the cover lets it out even when closed.

Got this only a few weeks ago and it is amazing!!! No plastic/water contact, great design, awesome to have easy to use controls right on the handle...it's seriously a fantastic pot! Plus it's quiet, doesn't boil over and works quickly. You will wonder why you didn't buy it sooner. Get one.

I have owned several different VarieTEA Kettles over the years and this is by far my least favorite. It feels cheaply made, leaks while pouring, and the button to open the lid doesn't work consistently after only a few months' use. I just threw it away in favor of a product from a different manufacturer.

I love this kettle! I had the older version, but it died after 5 years of constant use.
Heats up fast, and I think my favorite part is that I can keep the kettle warm for an hour. I also love that I can see the temp as it heats up - some of my teas require cooler temps -so I can turn off sooner. I kind of wish I could control the temp better rather than having presets, but then I would be paying a lot more!
I'm hopeful it lasts a long time.

Works fast makes it strong like i like it . has multiple temperatures. Also has directions on how to clean without messing.it up

Love this kettle so much and it has been a workhorse in our kitchen from day one. I love the temp settings for some of those really finicky teas that taste wildly different with brew changes and some that seem to be ruined by 2 hot of water. Had to buy a tiny one for travel from another company as this one was just two big for ease of taking with me. If Adagio ever makes a compact travel one based on my experience with this one I would definitely pick that up too.

This kettle is great! It heats water up very fast, and as a green tea drinker I love being able to get my water to just the right temperature.

So far so good. It works fast and easy to use. I use it everyday.

Best electric tea kettle I have used. Fast and keep the water warm for refills.

The perfect kettle, but I just wish it didn't beep.

I have had this kettle for a month, and I enjoy the convenience of heating water quickly without having to use my stove. I also like that the outside of the kettle does not get hot. However, after the first use, the temperature gauge stopped going to 212 degrees. I can hear the water boiling, but it will only show 210 and then cut off. I am still using the kettle, but I'm concerned that it stopped showing the correct temperature so quickly.

Super convenient and fast, perfect for getting the right temp on your tea, and changing temp is easy. Having the digital display that tells you the temp is a huge plus.

I bought the Varie TEA Kettle 5 months ago. I used it every day. It made my life easier until the other day the lid got stuck and then fell off. I am so disappointed. The price point was high but I was willing to spend the money because I thought I was buying a product that would last for years. Dear Adagio customer service please talk to us customers about this issue. Thank you, Kathleen E.

This was actually my second kettle from Adagio. My first has been used thousands of times. This one is for our second home - cannot imagine tea making without our Adagio kettles!
