Porcelain Cup And Infuser (orange) Customer Reviews

I just ordered four of these cups in various colors (one for me, three for gifts), and while I haven't used mine yet, I took them all out of the boxes to look them over (which I'd recommend, if you're buying something as a gift ahead of time - Adagio's packing job is subpar at best, and back when I ordered the teapot and small cups set, one of my cups was chipped beyond utility). They seem nice and sturdy, including the lids. I've seen similar cups at other tea shops, and the lids made me nervous, because they were very thin, but the lids that come with these cups are solid. I have a major qualm with the size of the lids though: even though I checked all of them and they're all identical, I get the sense that the lids were NOT made for these cups. The infuser sits perfectly in it when placed upside down. The inner rim of the lid flares out in an attempt to better fit the cup... but it just doesn't touch, and the lip extends beyond the rim of the cup. If you expect a lid that will sit centered or flush on the mug, you'll be disappointed. I doubt its insulating abilities - but I'll have to update after I brew some tea in it!

Pretty nifty! The handle is a little too close to the cup to my liking. Might require skillful finger maneuverability to keep from getting fingers close to the cup and getting burned, especially if you like to move from the kitchen to the living room.

This little thing is super awesome! A must have! Definitely recommend.

The color is adorable! Very sturdy, not 'cheap' at all.

I love this thing, use it every day. I'm reordering another one because my orange mug had a tragic run-in with another dish on its way to the dishwasher and ended up with a chip in the rim, right where I drink from.

Love this mug! It's so convenient! I'm the only tea drinker in the house, and so making a whole pot in my fancy tea maker isn't always ideal. This is great because you can bring it to work too!

My granddaughter's FAVORITE color. Her mommy drinks her tea from the orange cup.

I love the bright orange color! The infuser works very good. The only thing I would change about the infuser is to make the bottom removable so that the used tea leaves could be cleaned out more easily.

I love these porcelain cups and infusers. It makes having a cup of loose tea so easy and convenient. The one and only issue I have with this product is that certain tea blends with finer ingredients will seep through the infuser and mix with the tea. It's not the worst thing, though, but be aware, if you're picky about that happening...

I got this for my mom as a gift while home from school for the holiday. She's so far really enjoyed it as a cup to take to work, where she doesn't have access to a full kettle and diffuser. I think I'll have to get myself one at some point.

This cup is genius! I got one to take to work so I don't make a mess with my tea ball. I was always try g to find something to set it on so I didn't leak tea on my desk or on the table in meetings. The infuser basket on this mug is perfect. It is just the right size for the tea leaves to expand and the mesh does not let any floaters through. The lid that doubles as a rest is the best part, now I'm not leaving tea on my desk and can kiss the tea ball goodbye!

Overall, glad I bought it. The orange is a very nice and cheery color, maybe ever so slightly more red than you'd expect, like slightly more sherbet than orange. The lid is a bit more wobbly than I'd think when it's sitting on mine without the infuser. Might be because there's a wobble/lump bit on the rim -- like it's not PERFECTLY round. I thought there was some blue dust inside when I first opening it, but it must be some kind of splurt from another glaze somehow got in there. Not a huge deal. Infuser is large, but doesn't have any holes on the bottom. I'm not too sure it's clear from the image on the website that the lid is rounded on the top. And though it's not like it wobbles when you set it down, since it's kinda weighty and flattened a bit, it's still rounded. The handle seems to be designed to slip your fingers through to grasp the cup, as opposed to holding the handle itself like it's high tea time. I might end up buying this for someone else for a gift. It's very cheery and perfect color to brighten my day at work. 4 star rating because the oversight for glaze and rim shape imperfections for a $19 tea mug could just be a bit higher.

I love this cup. I use it at work so that I can stop using tea bags. The lid works great to both hold in warmth or to hold the infuser when it's done being used. I've been loving Oolong tea with it, re-brewing the leaves repeatedly to get their full flavor. No mess, no fuss, great quality, hard to break (I've already dropped it twice), and VERY EASY!

The color is a little redder than the picture, though that may be my computer screen. The only constructive criticism that I could give would be to add holes to the bottom of the infuser so that it doesn't hold water when taken out.

I bought this for my son to use at work. He loves the color (Orange) and excited to enjoy his tea throughout his day.

So love it, it is absolutely perfect for when I am looking to relax with a cup of tea and my husband would rather pass on one. So simple to mix loose leaf tea for one. Love the orange color and the lid is perfect for placing the infuser when my tea is ready.

This is a wonderful product. I bought it as a gift for a coworker and she loves it.

When my first one came to me the lid was cracked, and they were very prompt in sending me a packing slip to return it and sending a new one back. I love this! The orange color is very bright, brighter than I was expecting and almost dayglow, but I really like it and looking at it makes me immensely happy.

This was a gift for a great friend who is all about ORANGE and the Clemson Tigers! She tells me it is a perfect gift for making just one cup of tea and has really enjoyed it!

I really enjoy using this cup and infuser.
The infuser has a handle that doesn't get to hot to grasp, though I do end up slightly tipping it over the cup to make sure I get all the liquid out of it.
The lid is something I've been needing as I have a curious cat and he must stick his nose and/or paw into my mugs.
The only negative comments I have are about the glaze on my cup and lid. There are two small spots where the glaze isn't completely covering the handle and top of lid. Not a deal breaker in my book, but some may find it bothersome.

My new favorite way to drink tea. I do have the personaliTEA ceramic teapot in plum and I adore that as well, but this cup and infuser is perfect for a single cup of tea at any time of day. The holes in the infuser are smaller than those in the mesh infuser basket used with the personaliTEA, which means less particles in the dregs of my cup. The bright and cheery orange color only enhances the product and makes the tea drinking experience that much more pleasant.
