This beautiful teapot was a huge splurge for us. And yet I'm so glad we did it. We've been buying $30-60 stainless steel or even enamel-coated stainless steel teapots over the years and no matter how well we care for them they only last about 2 years before they rust. We searched the internet for an iron teapot that could be used on the stove and here it is, at our very own favorite tea shop. We refuse to go to an electric tea kettle, because we have so little counter space and love the ritual of boiling water on the stove. I'm shocked that more manufacturers don't make something similar. It's a perfect size for boiling water to pour tea, but we personally don't think the basket is big enough for the tea if we were to steep it, although we never do that, so that doesn't bother us, but if that's your thing its something to consider. The tea basket is small and you would have to fill the pot pretty full for the water to reach the tea. But again this is perfect for our daily use and it's very stylish to boot. Highly recommend!
Update over a year later, we still love it, use it every day (multiple times a day)... to keep it in good shape we just dry it out completely between uses (just by putting the heat on) and it's still in perfect condition. Highly, highly recommend and
