This teapot is so cute. It does have some weight to it but that is expected being a cast iron one. So far it seems really durable and is fairly easy to clean. I have seen that sometimes the bird comes off in other reviews. It has not come off for me but I just got it a day ago so time will tell. The mesh strainer for the tea is very easy to clean but can sometimes be a little tricky to get out when its hot. Overall i would recommend this teapot if you want something that is more durable than a glass teapot. I have had a few glass ones and they seem to break too easily.

At first, I didn't think that this teapot was not going to see much use. I was wrong, I was very wrong. It's used almost daily and our kettle has since been retired. This teapot keeps tea warm for hours and makes around 4-6 cups of tea. While I was initially worried about the rust on the exposed cast iron part, it has been a non-issue for me since we leave the teapot taken apart until it is thoroughly dry.
The only thing that might be an issue for some folks is that it does not whistle so if you're used to a whistling kettle, just keep that in mind but don't let it hinder you!
Upon first glance, I was worried that the little bird and handle would get hot since it looked like both were metal and at first I cautiously wrapped the handle with a towel to pour myself tea before I realized that the handle and bird don't conduct heat. The only tricky part is removing the tea basket while it's hot but with the help of a comically smol kitchen implement, it's not that big of a deal.
1000/10 would buy again

This teapot is really cute but considerably overpriced for the quality. I have not had this pot long and I take great care of it. However, the little bird handle which is made of some kind of plastic, has already come off. The bottom of the pot is also convex which means that it spins like a top on a flat surface. The metal handle leaves a harsh metallic odor if you hold it bare-handed. I am so disappointed. If you are looking for a nice teapot, I would not recommend this one despite it's looks and charm. It is absolutely NOT worth the price tag.

Well, now the little bird handle came off in my hand. This is too expensive for this to happen. Going to contact help and see what happens. This does keep the tea really hot longer. I do miss my whistle when the water is hot.

This pretty teapot does it all - heats water and steeps tea, pours cleanly with no drips, and looks great. I love it!
