It’s really nice I like the design the weight and it really keeps tea hot and warm for a long time
A good teapot, and very nice little cups. Good-quality, holds a lot of tea. I find that when the pot is full, it stays very hot for quite some time (longer than ceramic), but once you get about halfway down it begins to cool pretty rapidly -- a little over an hour after brewing to get to room temperature, for me, at the rate I tend to drink tea. It makes sense, because the teapot is so flat that once much of the tea is gone there's a very shallow pool which loses heat to the air quickly. I love the little cups, but they definitely work best with tea that doesn't need milk/sugar/honey/etc, since they're so small they're difficult to dose properly.
This is a beautifully hand-crafted teapot. I also purchased the matching set of yunomi (cups) to go with it. It will make a splendid gift for my artist sister and bro-in-law along with some of my favourite loose teas from Adagio. This is an affordable, lovely gift.
Feedback from this gift- They loved it - not only is it beautiful, it holds WAY MORE tea than it looks, and it keep the tea HOT for longer.
Absolutely love this teapot. It makes great tea, easy to clean, and makes the perfect pot for 2 (or one who wants 4 cups)
I love this tea pot. It’s the perfect size for me. I get about 2 1/2 mugs from a full pot. It seems very sturdy. I have occasionally forgotten to clean and dry it right away and it has been totally fine. It shows no signs of rust and the enameled interior is very easy to clean. I anticipate having and using this for many years.
Wonderful teapot. Stays very warm. Cups are traditional Japanese style. Enough for a few cups
As other reviewers have pointed out, this teapot is more brown than the pictures appear. The color makes me think of dijon mustard. I actually like this color more and love this teapot. It gets blazing hot and keeps tea warm for a long time, just like a cast iron should. All parts of this teapot seem really well built.
I love this teapot so much! The weight is nicely balanced when carrying it by the handle, and the small teacups are a wonderful size for sharing with someone special.
I got this with the cups for my son and man does it keep tea warm for a long long time..it is a keeper and I plan to get one for myself..
I like the pot. It's my first Asian style teapot. The color is more brown than it appeared on my screen, but I'm glad to have it.
I love this teapot. The pot holds the heat extremely well and the tea leaf holder does a pretty good job of keeping most of the tea leaves out of the liquid. The pot travels well and it and the cups are very good quality.
This pot is very trendy, it looks cool on my desk in the office and very easy to use and clean.
A beautiful teapot that holds heat well and pours without dripping.
Came chipped,(in several different places) and the handle wouldn't fit on the teapot. Very disappointed. Will not buy a tea set or teapot from adagio again.
This is a great Tea Pot! Heavy, Makes a party amount with the little cup's it has. I love taking it to parties and being the Tea man and providing a lot of good Tea. It keeps my Tea nice and hot and is easy to take places. Great design as well.
Heavy teapot, holds a lot. I take it everywhere around the house. No issues with rust if dried out after each use.
This is a beautiful testubin! Except it arrived with the handle unattached. I could not get the handle on. I have returned it and re-ordered another for a Christmas gift, and I am hoping that it will arrive intact.
Beautiful and functional. a birthday gift to myself, added to my ever-growing collection.
I do love almost everything about this pot. It keeps the tea warm for much longer than my personalitea. It looks great and the heavy feel of iron is fantastic. You get a little drippage from the spout when you come off a pour, sometimes more than others. Make sure to get a cast iron pot holder and put a candle in there to even further the time it stays warm.
I may have had a defective pot, but the enamel chipped off into my tea. Even after over 10 days of daily use, I could not get a clean cup of tea and eventually had to return it.
A wonderful teapot that keeps your tea nice and hot without worrying about it getting cold. The only problem is that the glazing inside the teapot started to chip a little.
This teapot is a disappointment despite its awesome size. It's a dark mustard color, not the light buttery yellow it appears to be (and prior to ordering I checked on 2 different monitors). The mesh strainer is inset inside the teapot, so when I need to take it out I have to use a sharp knife to slip under the rim to lever it out. I do like the enameled interior, but I wish it were better designed and Adagio had an accurate picture of it.
Unfortunately I had to return this pot. There was a defect inside the spout which made the enamel not apply to the entire inside of the spout. I'm sure this was just a defect.
I was in the market for spending a lot of money on a hunk of metal and this met my needs perfectly. It looks nice and works as a cute centerpiece for the desk in my dormroom and wows the ladies every time. It distributes heat evenly and is pretty nice, but the strainer it comes with isn't the best and sometimes leaves fall through. It's pretty heavy and doubles as a good murder weapon. I'd recommend buying it if you like pricey teapots made by Asian people that look pretty cool too. It's worth the price considering it won't break or get stained like that plastic P.O.S. I used to have. Yeeeeeeee hawwwwwwwwwwww.
I really like this pot. Before it we had been using glass ones from Bodum and they look nice but they do not keep the tea hot for brewing and they break. This one ... if I drop it on the floor, it will probably crack the tile :). It keeps the tea hot, looks great on the table and is of a perfect size.
I love this teapot. It has a surprising capacity (see description), and it keeps tea hot for a long time.
I love this tea pot! It holds more than it appears, so check the oz. The strainer works well and is holding up well to almost daily use. The tea stays warm much longer than simply in a cup. And the spout pour nicely, none of those annoying drips or spill backs. So glad I bit the bullet and got this! Very pleased.
I ordered this teapot and it came in pristine condition. Beautiful design and keeps my tea nice and warm. 10/10!
The best teapot I have ever had. It is very heavy and keeps the tea warm for a long time. The cast iron material really makes a difference in preserving the flavor of the tea.
What better way to enjoy tea than in a cast-iron teapot? It's very well made and I enjoy relaxing with friends in the afternoon with some good tea.
