Shipping Rates & Methods

Economy
With this service the carrier brings your order to the local post office, and your mail carrier delivers it to your door. Alternatively, the carrier may also ultimately deliver your package. It's a flat $3.75. For orders that are $49 or more, after all other deductions, your order ships free!

Please keep in mind that the shipping time estimates next to our Shipping options are estimates, and do not guarantee delivery in that number of days.

UPS and FedEx Ground
UPS and FedEx Ground Shipping is $5.75, $7.75, or $9.75, depending on your zip code, and only available for orders that are $49 or more, after all other deductions.

Expedited Shipping Options
Second Day and Next Day rates are calculated based on weight and distance. To learn more, please visit our shipping page.

USPS Shipping:
USPS Shipping is $7.75 with some exceptions, see below.

PO Boxes
We'll gladly ship your order to a PO Box address with USPS for $7.75.

Rural and Remote Zip Codes
For rural zip codes we're happy to ship your package with your preferred carrier for a $2.00 surcharge (Economy is excluded from this surcharge). For those living in remote zip codes your package will be shipped with USPS for $9.75. This is due to rural and remote area surcharges from the carrier.

Business Hours and Shipping Schedule
Weekday orders placed before 3:00 pm are shipped the same day. Orders placed after 3:00 pm are processed and shipped the next business day. Orders placed after 3:00 pm on Friday, or on the weekend will be processed and shipped the following Monday or as soon as possible if we are experiencing high volume.

We do our best to provide estimated times in transit, but please note transit time vary by carrier and distance, delivery may be extended past estimated days in transit. Please allow ample time for your order to arrive.

Expedited Shipping Transit Times
Second Day aims to arrive on the 2nd business day after the order is processed. Next Day arrives the business day after the order is processed. Please refer to our shipping page for more details.

Teabags

Superior Teabags
The teabags sold in your local market typically contain low-quality tea grades called fannings or dust. These yield dark color, but very little flavor.

In contrast, our gourmet bags contain the same quality of full-leaf teas as do our loose tea offerings. Almost all of our loose teas presently come in bagged form to ensure you have access to quality tea when preparing loose varieties may not be convenient.

Teabag Material
Our pyramid-shaped bags are made of PET, the safe material used to make water bottles. While not compostable, they are easy to use and provide ample room for tea leaves to expand and infuse fully, placing more flavor in your cup.

No Strings
Please note, our teabags do not have strings.

Individual Teabags - Wrapped and Identified
The many varieties of our individually-wrapped and labeled teabags may be found on one page. There are about two dozen varieties for you to chose from. Our individually-packaged teabags may also be purchased as gift assortments. Only this style comes with string and tag.
