Rooibos, sometimes known as "Red Tea" (although not from the actual tea bush), is an herb that grows only in South Africa. Our rooibos is slightly fruity and smooth with a mild, herbal texture. Very forgiving - won't over-steep.

All rooibos is pretty delicious, but this rooibos has an especially smooth and full taste a beautiful sweetness. It's an irreplaceable herbal tea.

I drank this straight just to get an idea of the flavor and while there was nothing wrong with it, I do feel like for me it would benefit from some additional flavors. Might try again, but wouldn't go for a full size order.

This is my first time trying straight, unflavored rooibos and I find it... meh. The smell is almost overwhelming, kind of a cough syrup-y scent, but once I get it in my mouth I get almost no flavor. I really like a lot of the flavored rooibos teas, and a lot of fandom blends that include rooibos, but I think I'll stay away from the plain kind.
I really like this tea! It has a very fruity smell and a mild taste. It has no bitterness or caffeine which makes it perfect for a before bed drink!

I usually drink only black tea but I have found rooibos to be a nice alternative when I don't want caffeine. This one has a nice full flavor a little nutty and maybe hints of caramel tones.
Solid Rooibos. By itself it’s mild and a great base for all the blends that Adagio makes. I love the red teas, but definitely prefer the blends over the straight rooibos.

A lot of teas are like sausages; they smell much better than they taste. This is is the opposite, I did not enjoy the smell as all but the flavor is quite nice. I love the red color and it tastes like how a carpenter's shop smells.

The most striking aspect of this tea is the lovely red color, absolutely lovely. The flavor is a spot on rooibos with a most subtle tannin hint. I have been getting it for about a year and quality remains consistent.
The first sip I didnt know if I liked this tea.. I had never tasted anything like it.. But as I drank more the more I liked the unique taste. I think I will drink the flavored rooibos next to see which I like better
I love this both hot and cold. I brew it as sun tea in the summer for an evening drink, or with dinner, and hot as a late night relaxer in the winter.
I have never had rooibos before but now that I have it's become a fast favorite of mine! I definitely recommend this to everyone to try at least once! Great with honey and milk!

A solid basic rooibos. Nothing special but it doesn't need to be. I would buy it again.
This is the one hot tea the whole family will drink. It has a mild sweet flavor that the kids love. We have it in the evening on a cold fall or winter's day while watching the last TV show of the night.
The best rooibos I've ever had, needs no spices or additions. It has a mellow, earthy flavor, and tastes great both hot and cold.

I had never tried rooibos before so made the big investment in a sample bag. I have been looking for a caffeine free option for winding down in the evening and wanted to give this a try. Plane jane 'black' is how I have had it so far, and it is pretty good on its own. It very much feels like it could easily be complemented by many other flavours. I enjoyed it, but I think I may enjoy it combined with other things even better.
I have bought other rooibos from other stores before, and this one is not the worst, but not the best. This rooibos has multiple flavor notes. It's herbaceous, earthy, and lightly floral. But it has that sharp, bitter, fresh-cut wood smell and taste that green rooibos does not have. I know Rishi has a rooibos that doesn't have this flavor; but in cheaper rooibos, the flavor is stronger to the point of being unapetizing.
I love black tea but need caffeine free. This tea has filled the gap. Don’t feel like I’m missing out on black tea anymore.
This is a very nice hot tea to enjoy in the evenings. it is a very fine tea, so make sure you have a good infuser

This tea is basic, but tasty. It's a good replacement, from my perspective, for black tea if you're avoiding caffeine or the acidity in decaf teas. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't taste like black tea. But it's a nice basic alternative for those with a sensitive stomach.
This is just an excellent tea substitute. In the evening when you don't want caffeine or anytime of day. A lovely tea-like experience. So happy to discover this. My first Rooibos and I'm hooked.
I expected to not really like this tea because red rooibos often tastes like medicine to me. I didn’t find this rooibos to be too medicine-y. It was still in the background, but I think that it must be when it is blended with certain other things that brings the medicine flavor out. I like red rooibos with nuts/vanilla. I don’t like it with jasmine or berries.
An old stand-by. Lots of roasty-toasty flavor wirhout caffeine. Did not mix with key lime herbal!
Rooibos is indigenous only to South Africa - a tea that is so healthy, it is considered good for babies. It also seems to have weight loss capabilities.
Smooth, mild tea. Good hot or cold. I’ve only had it plain, but looking forward to adding other flavors or teas to it. A staple tea since it has no caffeine, so I can drink it anytime.

OH MY GOSH! This tea is my new favorite unflavored tea. It is SO good! It has a natural sweetness and to me tastes very similar to the honeybush tea. I added a little sweetener and milk to round out the flavor. Definitely going to rotate this into one of my everyday teas!
I like this tea, however sometimes I like something a little more complex. This is very smooth and flavorful with really nice low notes. It would be great as a base for some blends.
Roobio tea is always my go-to! Good for day and night.
