Very dark tasting, cocoa flavor in the rooibos. It's advertised for it's 'sweetness,' but I feel it is a bit bitter, due to the cocoa flavor. Definitely a sipping tea, steeped very hot!

I didn't expect to like this tea very much due to the apple pieces,as I absolutely hate apples. But this tastes exactly like a custard tart tea i got somewhere else that has been discontinued and i absolutely adore this! The tea has a lightly sweet flavor on its own so with a dash of sugar and cream it's like dessert in a cup. I got the sample size just to try it, but I might have to get a bigger bag when this runs out! Simply delicious!

So grateful to have received this as a gift because I do not like chocolate and would NEVER have ordered this once I saw that it contains chocolate nibs. But it is a delightful blend of nutty and all things comforting. I swear drinking it is like getting a warm hug from grandma. Perfection in a cup!

oh man. oh man. oh man. this is some good stuff. i just woke up and decided to open this early for christmas and it has a flowery, nutty, very balanced and delicious cozy kind of taste. i'll probably need another bag!
Smells so nutty and I was even fine with drinking it once I absentmindedly let it cool.
I bought Masala Chai, Irish Breakfast, and Rooibos Nutcracker in large 16 oz packs, because i think smaller sample packages loose their taste and aromatic qualities. I was disappointing with all three teas.
Rooibos Nutcracker is ok. When i opened up the bag, i was hit in the face with a very interesting and overpowering smell. However, (as with other Adagio teas i have tried) the essence is very different from the presentation - when brewed, Nutcracker is basically a Rooibos with caramel background. Pleasant at the moment, but the novelty quickly wears off because there simply is no depth or complexity to this tea to explore (which for some might be exactly what they are looking for - not i, however).
Excellent tea. Big fan. In love. Smells like a caramel explosion when you open the bag, and the taste doesn’t disappoint.

I confess. I am a die hard coffee drinker who is REALLY trying to acquire a tea drinking appreciation. This tea is absolutely wonderful!! I drank 2 cups just now on a cold and dreary PA Christmas weekend. I loved every sip! No afternoon coffee for me!!
