I wonder if I'm alone in tasting something of a licorice or aniseed note in the rooibos? It takes some getting used to, but overall I like it.
A combination of bright, tangy citrus notes with creamy vanilla and a hint of lemongrass producing a soft, fluffy, lemon cream taste.

this is a nice tea for the evening. the citrus gives a bit of a pick me up but there is no caffeine. the smell is divine
This is a really light tea. I really like the simplicity. It is not super lemony but as its name says, is more like a light cloud.
Perhaps I didn't steep this first cup long enough, but I wish the lemon were a mite stronger. Don't get me wrong, this tea is very tasty, and delightfully smooth. But a twist of lemon would send it right over the top.
Not as flavorful as I expected. I left the tea in the bag forever and still no good flavor.
Not as lemony as I would have liked. The lemongrass takes back stage to the rooibos. It does have a creamy lemon taste, maybe I just prefer more like what you get from Thai Chai.
Rooibos is usually my favorite tea and I absolutely love lemon so I was really excited when I bought this, but was pretty disappointed. I thought it had an awful overpowering medicinal smell and taste to it, I couldn't find anyone who wanted it so I had to throw out the whole bag. I have Adagio's lemongrass and rooibos teas and I thought it tasted much better to just mix the two. Not sure what went wrong with this tea, I really wanted to like it and tried brewing it different ways but it always tasted like caugh medicine. Sigh. :(
I LOVE LEMON AND YES all caps much deserved for this tea sweet lordy
It was a good tea. Not as strong flavored as I thought but still pretty awesome. It is a nice amount of lemon without being overwhelming.
The fragrance of this tea reminded me of cough syrup while it was brewing, but it tasted much better than it smelled. The lemon flavor is strong but it's tempered with a creamy undertone. Not sure what exactly was giving me the cough syrup vibe, but I did enjoy drinking the this tea.
This tea isn't nearly lemony enough for the name and description in my opinion. It has a bit of an aftertaste as well.
This tea is ok I wish it was more lemon taste. I tend to like more citrus taste in my teas more fruity to sour is best.
Smooth and mildly flavored tea. So far I have enjoyed all of the rooibos I've had - a total of three - and I've enjoyed them all equally. This was a nice change to my usual fruity herbal evening tea.
This tea is SOOOO easy to overbrew. When you get it exactly right though, it's very mellow and soothing. Taken with a bit of sugar it's beautiful.
It smells like a lemon cough drop but it tastes really deliciously clean. I enjoy it in the mornings u - u
I wish this blend was a bit more lemon-y, but if you're a rooibos fan, I think you'll like it. I'm going to try mixing it with some other blends, but it's a good breakfast tea or a good cold remedy with some honey.
I bought this looking for a citrus rooibos blend. According to the description that's what this should be but unfortunately none of the citrus flavor comes through. For me all you taste is just rooibos tea. I was very disappointed.
I just don't like this tea. I don't know what it is. I like other lemon tea. I like other rooibos tea. There's just something in it that just isn't doing it for me. I really think the vanilla is just completely overpowering everything else... and oddly enough, I love vanilla oolong! So I think the mix of lemon and vanilla just isn't for me.
Eh, it's a little lack luster. The lemon is tasty but I don't like rooibos very much.
One of my favorite pre bed teas. Not tart, it's creamy lemon pie flavor.
Strong lemon smell--but like a lemon candy rather than the fruit. The taste, even when sweetened, is mild honey/lemon flavor with the herbal notes of the tea. I'll definitely buy this one again!
Smells like a bad hospital or medicine as soon as you opened the bag. Because of the lemon traits, I'm trying it out this evening for my irritated throat from sinus drainage. TMI, tough luck, it's a reason for drinking this particular tea. More like a bad house cleaner scent instead of a nice lemon scent that you'd imagine with lemon cakes or even lemon grass candles.
Even with a fine mesh infuser, a lot of rooibos particles got through so it should be a tea used with bags.
Once you overcome the scent, the tea is pretty good. It's much more of a lemon grass with minor lemon cream tones meaning that it's earthy rather than citrus. Probably not one I'll drink unless I'm feeling under the weather or want to steep water/milk for a lemony baked/cooked food.
This is such a pretty smelling tea, and the taste doesn't disappoint :) Very nice if you want a light decaf tea.
A very forceful rooibos. Some have reported a sort of medicinal tang to the lemon flavor, which I don't deny, but can't always notice. The flavor IS very aggressive, so I would steer you towards the orange if you would prefer a gentler brew. That said, I deeply appreciated it when I had a terrible head cold messing with my ability to taste anything. I believe this is an ideal cold winter nighttime tea, especially if you're a bit under the weather.
I found the flavor a little unexpected at first, but it really grew on me as I continued brewing and drinking it over time. I like the smoothness of the flavor.
Great for sore throat season. I like that since it's Rooibos you can drink it right before bed without the caffeine worries.
Delicious! Perfect with a bit of agave. Absolutely the best thing for the tail end of the work day to calm down a bit, or right before bed. Full of flavor and very satisfying. Also re-steeps well and with a mellowed, somewhat deeper taste when you add a 1/2 teaspoon(-ish) more of the tea.
I was expecting more of a lemon taste. I love citric teas and was a little let down.
This almost tastes like lemon meringue pie in a cup! I didn't need much sugar at all, maybe around 1/3 tsp to bring out the flavor in this tea. I definitely taste the rooibos and the lemon is a nice light kind, not fake tasting at all. This is a very pleasant tea, and a nice one to have as dessert.
It is as advertised, lemony. a bit creamy and very smooth.
I think this is my favorite rooibos from Adagio so far. With just a tiny bit of sugar it's pleasantly sweet and tastes like lemon cream. I let mine steep for a long time since rooibos can be a little light tasting for me sometimes.
I've been on a big rooibos kick lately, and have found I really like all the Adagio rooibos teas I've tried so far. This is a nice light tea with plenty of flavor.
A fluffy citrus tea that is a refreshing blend. A pinch of sugar goes a long way with a cup of this tea.
This one's definitely an ok tea, but not one of my favorites. The lemon flavor is a little weak. It does blend well with rooibos vanilla though. Those two together have a real creamy taste that I definitely like.
Better than I thought it would be. I'm not a huge lemon fan unless it's lemonade, but this is pretty good. It's not too lemony or medicinal tasting. My only true complaint is some of the leaves are ground so small that they slip through the wire mesh of my tea steeper, so they float around in my cup. Since they're so small, you can't really feel them when you drink, but still.
Lovely. It needs that hit of vanilla to smooth it out. The flavors blend to taste like a pie. Lemon or key lime. It is great. One of my new favorites.
I really enjoyed this tea. Delicious for roobios loverse. It appeared to be a gift from another member on here, so thank you for the generosity!
Sweeter then some lemon teas I have tasted, this naturally decaffeinated tea was perfect with just a touch of honey. Also, I'm a person who likes to put milk in her tea, but, as most tea drinkers know, lemon based teas (and any other acidic fruits) do not typically like having milk added to them. I didn't feel like I was missing out with this tea...it was smooth enough without the milk.
I picked out this tea in hopes of finding a suitable replacement for a tea sold by another company that has long since been discontinued. The flavor was good but I found the vanilla an unnecessary addition. I was hoping for something more tart. could have used more lemongrass.
My new favorite tea. Tastes like a lemon dreamsicle.
I received this tea as a gift sample. I am not a big fan of citrus in tea, other than bergamot, so I was a bit sceptical. I do enjoy rooibos.
The lemon in this tea is very light, gently aromatic and enjoyable. I suspect this would be a great pairing for a traditional black for those that like a little lemon in their tea. The color is the red you would expect from a quality rooibos and just sweet enough to make this tea very smooth.
I am pleasantly surprised. Thanks for the sample!
Oh my goodness, where has this been all my life? By far, my new favorite.
I am not a huge fan of lemon, but this tea may have converted me! It has a very lemony aroma, both in the bag and when brewed. The flavor is more subtle, though. it isn't overpowering, like the aroma might be to some. A great cup of tea, and one I will certainly be using in blends in the future!
Received this as a sample and will defiantly be buying more! Not over powering, just a good light lemon tea!
Oh, this is just really nice! I ordered a sample because I love lemon pastries, and rooibos is naturally sweet. however, I was a little nervous because I usually don't like lemongrass in teas. This was really well-balanced, though, with a nice lemon scent and a balanced flavor. Mentally, it's a bit like eating a piece of lemon shortbread. yum!
This tea is very sweet - too sweet for me. It can be a nice treat. It tastes kind of like a lemon cream Girl Scout cookie. Not something I would drink very often, but not bad every once in a while.
A solid decaf tea. Smells very nice but doesn't have quite as much lemon kick as I was looking for.
I really liked it but I do believe that it's better in a blend. :)
In the two blends I mixed this with, it left an extremely odd aftertaste, like some kind of chemical mixed with a vague lemon flavor. It's a shame, because it smelled fantastic, like lemon cream pie. If only a tea's smell was directly correlated to its taste...
Drinking this tea now, it is growing on me, but I would like more lemon, I can't smell lemon or taste much citrus of any kind in this tea.
