I steeped this for 20 minutes and it has a strong medicinal aftertaste. I couldn't taste the caramel flavoring.
Smooth, mellow organic Rooibos herb with rich notes of caramel. Soft and satiny, like melty caramel, sweet finish.

I steeped this for 20 minutes and it has a strong medicinal aftertaste. I couldn't taste the caramel flavoring.
Mmmm... Wood.
In truth the caramel helped ameliorate the whole 'licking a pile of kindling' flavor that I usually get from rooibos or I'd rate it lower. I don't think pure rooibos is for me. Ever
Smooth, naturally sweet, and caramelly! Adding a splash of milk really helped to bring out more of the caramel notes as well
A rooibos tea has to be really something special for me to like it. This one just didn't do it. I couldn't pick up a lot of caramel fragrance, even upon opening the packet. A little sweetener helps a bit, but not a favorite.
I have to admit, I wasn't fond of the smell of this tea upon opening the packet. It had a wood soaked in alcohol scent that had me a little worried to try it, but the flavor turned out alright. Actually I quite like it, a woodsy flavor with a touch of sweetness that reminded me of my trip to the redwood forests of California. Unfortunately, though it tastes sweet, not much of the caramel flavor comes out in this brew.
Warm caramel sweetness on a chilly autumn morning. It doesn't get better than this. I love this on its own, but I could see this as a great blend with spicy tea blends to round them out.
A great tea overall, I really enjoy how the caramel taste is pretty subtle!
The caramel aspect of this tea overpowers the rooibos, and it smells very artificial. I tried this tea with some other herbs, like chamomile or even the decaf chocolate truffle tea, but I'm not sure this can be salvaged
This tea is simply amazing. I love love this tea. I strongly recommend trying this amazing tea
The color and the scent creates a very satisfying experience. The caramel notes gives it a nice sweetness.
Really good, but I prefer mixing this one with vanilla or chocolate.
A great tea .. hot or cold.. good alll year long.. packed with flavor
This tea is perfect if you like a little bit of sweetness to lift up the brighter notes found in rooibos teas.
My household is split on this tea. 3 of us found it too mild, to the point of lacking in flavor (probably a 2 star). 1 of us thought it was pleasant and mellow (probably a 4 star). So I compromised. Personally, I felt the caramel flavor was difficult to discern. I would definitely suggest trying a sample for yourself to decide before ordering a lot of it.
Nice, mellow tea with good caramel flavor. I did enjoy it, but not quite as complex as some of the other Adagio teas. Still, definitely worth trying if you love caramel.
As someone who grew up in the US South (technically - ten miles south :) I grew up on 'sweet tea' so I really appreciate teas like this that start right out sweet on the nose and in the mouth. Very soothing decaf pot of tea during the cool dark nights of the Pacific Northwest.
I open my communiTEA package to the wonderful smell of caramel. My cup had strong buttery caramel flavors combined with the woody flavors of the rooibos in the background. It was a smooth, mellow drink.
I'm not. a big fan of caramel, but this was a very soothing, cozy blend! I got this originally in the communitea and I'm so glad I did!
I like the mild mix today. I would have preferred more caramel taste
The sweetness of the caramel is just enough to mellow out the earthiness of the rooibos, overall, a nice sip, nothing I would seek out though
Sweet nutty aroma. Beautiful amber color. Carmel flavour enhanced with a little honey. I would like a little more caramel flavour.
The flavor for this one wasn't as strong as I would have like but it was delicious once I doctored it up. I added some cream and sugar and didn't mind the red Rooibos one bit.
This is a nice, sweet tea reminiscent of caramel.
Strong woody Rooibos flavor with a little caramel at the end. I would prefer more caramel.
I'm a big rooibos fan and also a big caramel fan, so of course I had high hopes! It reminded me a bit of the seasonal nutcracker rooibos or the rooibos pecan turtle, but I like that it's a bit subtler than either of those. If I just wanted a very pleasant standard, everyday sort of rooibos, this would be a nice one! A touch of sweetness, a nice caramel scent, generally nice and gets the job done. Not an exciting cup of tea, but a very pleasant one.
If I have a choice between rooibos and honeybush, I'll take the latter any day. I know if I steep rooibos very hot, and for about 20 minutes or more, it's very nice. I just don't want to bother with the extended steep time most of the time and I don't like it when its only in the steeper for a short time. The caramel flavor is good, but a bit mild, too. I'll pour a cup of honeybush vanilla instead.
The caramel in this cup is very mellow, to the point that if I wasn't looking for it, I probably wouldn't taste it.
was so worried about this one since i'm not crazy about rooibos or caramel, but this is divine!
I really like this flavored caramel rooibos. I added some adagio Bees honey and some milk and Bamm!!! the caramel came out smooth and sweet.
It's surprisingly pleasant for a rooibos tea. I am usually not a fan of rooibos, but the caramel adds an element that makes it seem less woody to me. The caramel itself isn't strong in the taste department - more subtle; adding a touch of sweetener brought the caramel flavor out. Not something that I would personally order, but a pleasant welcome for the communiTEA sample.
I am usually on the fence about rooibos, but this one is pretty good. It has a nice sweetness without adding anything. A light caramel flavor that isn't overpowering. I happily drank this cup and it might be nice to have this for a change, especially in the colder months.
I can smell the sweet wood rooibos, but not any caramel, from the dry leaves. 10 min @ 212 I like to get the most flavor out of my rooibos tisanes. While I enjoyed this cup, drank it quickly, and wondered why I didn't immediately start the second steep, and I'm disappointed that I don't taste caramel. I'll have to do a side by side with plain rooibos to find out the difference.
The caramel flavor is there, but so is the red rooibos; which I don't care for unless it is in a blend of other tastier teas. However, I will say the rusty flavor of red rooibos was a tad bit more subdued with the sweetness of the caramel.
This is a light and sweet caramel tea. Perfect for after dinner. Yum!
I like Rooibos tea this one was a tad sweet for me for the morning. Would make a nice dessert or evening tea. 212 for 7 min.
I personally did not taste much caramel. I enjoy rooibos though, so it was still an ok tea!
For a red rooibos, this one is nice. A tasty caramel scent and smooth finish, the caramel seems to really balance out the flavor of the rooibos, making this a surprisingly good tea!
The caramel probably mellowed the rooibos but this tea didn’t taste like caramel to me.
The Caramel isn't overpowering and the tea is very good. I couldn't stop drinking it.
Very strong, rooibos flavor, but I really didn’t get any caramel notes. Little cream helped some.
Great tea! A great tea for anytime, great with or without milk and with or without sugar. Would reccomend!
I do not like the caramel flavor but I recommend it to those who do!
For me, the rooibos overpowered the caramel flavor. Especially compared to the black-tea Caramel tea Adagio offers (tho that one was more bitter, unfortunately). The caramel flavor, in my experience, is a lighter, sweeter, almost fruity, belated flavor.
I know roiboos can tend to be a polarising love it or hate it taste, but honestly it's my favourite - everything goes with it, and roiboos is such a good, earthy base that lets any flavour shine whilst adding its own hint of sweetness and woodsy grounding.
This one is my one of favorite rooibos blends,, second only To pecan turtle. It satisfies my sweet tooth but it’s light enough to have any time. I love this one in the fall.
Sweet smooth . After adding a bit of sweetner it almost feel like honey butter going down.
OMG delicious. I wanted to dive face-first into the packet when I sniffed the contents, and the steeped result did not disappoint. The caramel is just so divine. May become a staple in my tea drawer.
I expected this tea to be a bit sweeter - but adding just a touch of sugar solved that issue for me!
I love rooibos teas and this is definitely one of my favorites. The caramel adds so much to it, making it sweet and smooth and delicious
I’ve been on the fence about this one since I’m just getting into Roobios tea but I finished this sample and kept looking for more!
