Cold steeped, this blend makes a delicious iced tea. The pineapple and coconut flavor is light and delicate, and the hibiscus plays nicely and doesn’t take over. All in all a pleasant sip!

This was a lovely tea that I could see tasting good when prepared in a variety of ways! While I chose traditional hot sip, the tropical balance of this might do well cold brewed, iced, even frozen into a tea slushee! Perhaps with a splash of rum 😉. My packet was well balanced for all the expected flavors, and while I didn’t like the smell of the dry leaves, the hot tea aroma was quite inviting!

As part of the CommuniTEA this one surprised me. It was delicate and light, yet did not come across as weak in its flavor. The floral was just the right amount to blend with the other flavors rather than overpowering them. I am not sure if this will become a staple in my tea collection, but it certainly hit the spot on this summer afternoon.

For CommuniTEA today, I decided to go iced! The first steep was sweetened and went straight into a large mouth mason jar placed in the fridge. The second steep was sweetened and poured into an ice cube tray placed in the freezer. I put them together a couple of hours later and wowza! This tasted like a tropical cake. I picked up the pineapple, coconut, and apple with a nice, light 'green' tea flavor, even though this one was a green rooibos. Very nice iced! Happy sipping : )

I want an air freshener in this scent. 😁It's heavenly. The only thing better than the scent, was this tea on ice. So delicious!!!

Pineapple and coconut are the stars of Green Rooibus Paradiso. The rose petals and hibiscus add nuanced flavors. This tisane can be enjoyed as iced tea late into a sultry summer evening. Enjoyed this sample iced as part of the Communitea.

I enjoyed this tea lukewarm (and it's enjoyable) but I think it would make an exceptional iced tea for those who enjoy coconut and pineapple. It's not overwhelmingly tropical, but those fruit flavors are definitely there.

What a wonderful tropical aroma from the packet. I cold brewed this and turned out great. I slurped it too fast. It reminds me of my favorite Caribbean drink, coconut rum and pineapple juice. I have already added this to my wish list !

A very pretty tea, I find the rooibos well balanced by the floral and fruity tones. Not sweet at all to my palate, which I prefer.

This is just not “my cup of tea”. I hate pineapple and coconut, so this was a nightmare for me. I can absolutely understand why some people love it, though…if tropical flavors are your jam, this would be a great tea for you.

★★★☆☆

The cloying aftertaste of coconut is makes this one a bit unlikeable to me; it's also unclear how the green rooibos is participating in the blend of it. I liked the tinge of rose and the pineapple dominant. Overall a meh -- I'm admittedly biased against coconut in herbals, but I think others would agree with me: it should be more zingy to really work. Needs something citrusy like... lemon?

The smell out of the packet sent me straight to a tropical paradise! I am a super pineapple fan but unfortunately don't really like coconut so the flavor missed the mark for me. I only tried it hot and perhaps should have tried it iced too.

212 degrees for 8 minutes.
Aloha Paradiso! This tea is a perfect tribute to the tropics with pineapple, coconut and hibiscus, which always reminds me of Hawaii. I steeped for longer to wring out more flavor and let cool to room temperature, and I was rewarded with a juicy burst of fruits with a subtle floral note. The green rooibos stays politely in the background, unlike red, which sometimes interferes with blends. A touch of sugar made it a fantastic summer afternoon treat. Bravo!

This tea is very coconut forward. The first thing I smelled when opening this packet was coconut and the first thing I tasted after steeping was coconut (212F for 5 minutes). I do get some subtle floral and pineapple tones, but the main flavor for me is coconut. I do enjoy coconut, but maybe not this much coconut.

I think this tea is ideal for iced tea as it has a very refreshing, 'tropical' flavor.

Lovely tropical tea! Not bad for a green rooibos. They are definitely better with added flavor. This would be great iced, sipping in the sun.

A perfect patio tea! Brew, do the fandango and set sail for the comfiest lounge chair around. This pineapple centric tea whose delicious flavor is boosted by tart hibiscus is nicely softened by the accent tastes of coconut and rose. If pineapple is a personal favorite then you’ll be in paradise in no time.

When I opened the CT packet, the scent of the dry tea had me island dreaming and I quickly set my electric kettle to 212F. My 12 oz. steep of the 3 g/ 2 full tsp. of tea took 5 min. (less time than it takes to board a plane or boat.) The sunrise peach colored liquor had the same pineapple scent as the dry tea. The green rooibos tea base added its natural woody sweetness but was gentle enough to allow the tropical flavors to truly shine.

As the tea cooled from hot to room temp. the different flavors bloomed and came forward more. Pineapple led the way teaming up with tart hibiscus, the apple pieces did their job as carriers of flavor, and the rose and coconut tastes were mild and came skipping in at the finish. A pleasant and very mild woody rooibos taste lingered in the aftertaste. Chilled, this tea is delicious with more of the coconut taste featured. Sweetening with mild honey brought the flavors to their peak in both the hot and chilled versions. One more flavorful resteep was possible using less water and more time. This tea sets sail to the head of the line and will be one of my favorite summer go- tos.

If you like pina colada and getting caught in the rain then this is the tea for you! I am always skeptical of rooibos blends, but this one is wonderful. Tropical tasting, both hot and iced.

CommuniTEA review: What an interesting blend. This is my first time trying a green rooibos and I do like it quite a bit better than the red rooibos. The aroma is very fruity with strong coconut when opening the packet. Steeped for 5 minutes at 212. After steeping, there was more of an apple scent and the taste was a nice fruity blend. Overall, a very nice tea and one that I would drink again.

This tea is not meant to be drank hot in my opinion! it had a weird aftertaste. As it cooled and I added ice, the coconut was more prominent than the rooibos and pineapple, now a tasty iced tea.

The tea leave smell brought a smile to my face. I knew I would like this. The liquid is a beigey pink. I can taste more pineapple than the others though all were present. You could add sugar to sweeten it up, but I'm afraid to spoil it. What a good way to begin the June box of Communitea!

This is a delightful tea, very light and refreshing. If you are not a fan of coconut and pineapple, this one might not be for you. I am enjoying it iced and my first sip was pure coconut. With each additional sip, the other flavors are coming out to play.

I have to say, normally the CommuniTea sample isn't as representative of these mixed ingredient teas as the larger sample you pay for it - but this one? This one decided to be different, and absolutely outshine its larger sampler cousin. The smell when the bag opened was an instant island, sunscreen, John Paul Mitchell mousse blast of coconut followed by fruity, and the flavor is a strong coconut on top of the herbacious green rooibos. I can't say the rose petal does anything, here or in the larger sampler, and the pineapple is definitely playing a fruity fruity note of /something/, but not necessarily /pineapple/. And I'm not sure it matters, because this morning, anyhow, it's a delightful tisane of coconut and relaxation. The only downside is, I know this isn't a consistent thing with this tea, so I'd be hesitant to buy it (again). Which is too bad, because a guaranteed blast of COCONUT is sometimes just what you need, you know?

Brewed with juuuuuust coming to a boil water, for a full 5.5 minutes. Allowed to cool 10 minutes in a lidded mug before drinking.

I don't know if anyone else made this with a tiny bit of sugar but it's habitual with flavored teas. The smell is amazing. The flavor is reminiscent of a smoothie I used to get by campus, called (funny enough) caught in the rain. Hot, the sweet coconut is almost sweet savory, possibly from the faint rose smell. A type that makes me want to inhale it. Having to actually step away from it as to not inhale it, I let it cool. The tea cold, was amazing. While this isn't a blendable tea with other, it still deserves the 5 stars

It tastes like a tropical island! The coconut was dominate at the beginning of the cup. As it cooled, the floral flavors became more noticeable and blended nicely with the coconut-pineapple flavor. The green rooibos provided a nice light base.

I did not care for this tea. Smelling it in the bag was very nice; however, when I steeped it, it smelled like... dried vomit. Like a Harry Potter jelly bean kind of vomit smell/taste. I steeped it in the fridge for a few hours, and when I had it later, the smell, thankfully, was much better. The taste of the tea, for me, was nothing to write home about. I did not find it to be that exciting or interesting. Based on the smell when it was first steeping in the ingenuitea, I'm afraid of trying this hot...

If you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain. Then this is the tea you have been looking for, drink it and escape. This tea had an inviting piña colada aroma while it was brewing. A nice tropical taste when warm. Decided to chill the tea, and that is when the flavors really came through in a big way. The green rooibos was a nice refreshing base with no bitterness. Coconut and pineapple were strong but not dominant, with hints of rose and apple coming through. Best of all just a touch of hibiscus was noted. All of the flavors combined to make this aptly named tea a tropical treat. My new favorite iced tea.

Wow, this is so nice and tropical. The smell of the sample bag was amazing, and the tea did not let down. Brewed hot was delicious. I'm currently trying to brew it cold using the same sample because I think it would be amazing. I'll update if it works. :)

A more than normal amount of ingredients were seen in my communiTEA packet today. It looked like paradise in a bag! Moderate pineapple aromas were noted.

I had 3.67 grams of ingredients, enough for a 14.7 ounce steep. I steeped at the recommended time and temperature printed on the packet.

When hot, mild pineapple and coconut flavors were noted. The hibiscus was providing some mild bitterness, so I added a bit of sugar to tame that and bring out more flavor.

When warm, floral rose flavors were noted. Apple flavors were mild. Pineapple and coconut flavors were moderate. The rooibos tea and apple pieces worked nicely together in distributing the flavorings.

This was a really nice multi-layered drink worthy of sipping on a tropical beach at sunset. I think it would also be great iced. (5 mins @ 212ºF, ¼ tsp sugar)

6/1/2021 - This tea actually got 'lost'' amid my large tea stash! Rediscovered it after trying my CommuniTea packet and seeing this prior review! Lovely aroma and refreshing light fruity taste. I did pick out a few rose petals before brewing. Lovely tea!

A tropical beach
Would never make a great tea
Sand tastes terrible!

Shells are totes crunchy,
Ocean water is salty,
Swimming fish don't steep.

This tea tastes great, though!
With tropical fruit instead!
And a hint of rose!

What an awesome way to kick off the unofficially first day of Summer (June 1st)! There's no doubt about the flavors in this tea. From the moment you open the packet, you are met with a tidal wave of pineapple coconut aroma. I sat for like 10 minutes just sniffing the packet. That's just how I roll. The aroma lasts throughout brewing and into the mug. It really does smell like what I imagine Hawaii would taste like, if tasting a group of Island were actually a thing.

Things took an interesting turn when I took my first sip of this tropical escape in a cup. Instead of pine colada, I got pineapple upside-down cake! Totally unexpected but not bad at all. The cake experience lasted for the entire mug.

I enjoyed this tea. The coconut and pineapple flavors are balanced. However, the flavor could be just a wee bit strong to match the amazing smell. Someday I hope to try this iced!

Tried this hot. The pineapple is the dominating flavor, and it’s a bit tart. I think this might be better with another flavor mixed in to tone down the pineapple. It’s worth another taste, though next time I would see how well it takes to a cold brew.

This one is good but not AMAZING. Oh well. I think the pineapple/coconut flavor could be amped up even further to make it super fabulously delicious! The bones are there; it just needs tweaked a bit. The scent when you open the bag though: woo-hoo, it's pina colada time! The base flavors are yum: big chunks of coconut and pineapple are beautiful to see in the bag and translate to a tropical flair in your cup. The green rooibos holds it together with its grassiness. Drink this and take a trip to paradise. Happy Sipping!

This caffeine-free green rooibos blend is very light and mildly fruity. The pineapple and coconut flavors are in the finish and are as light as the green rooibos base. This is perfect for hot weather, with light refreshing tropical fruit notes that can be enjoyed at any time of day. It tastes like it would be enjoyable iced or cold brewed. Don't expect the flavors to be in your face like Pina Colada, but a subtle presentation.

Apparently, I'm a sucker for coconut flavored teas? This one is solidly 'meh' particularly when compared to many of the other flavors adagio has to offer, like the coconut grove pouchong or white and decaf tropics.

The coconut is the most prominent flavor here, but it comes with a strange, almost soapy aftertaste. Whereas a lot of the other varieties I mentioned utilize other complementary fruits like pineapple, paradiso has some weird sweet and tart underlying flavors and very unnecessary rose petals. So, not undrinkable, quite honestly, it's okay, but when compared to others that adagio has to offer, it doesn't stand up or out against them.
