If pu erh is your favorite type of tea you can probably find something to enjoy in this tea, but as for me, it was not outstanding, and not the best of its kind.
This is a really interesting tea, warm and sweet and complex. I'll definitely be ordering this again.
Hazelberry has an interesting flavor to it. I think the time and temp are very important to getting a great tasting steep out of this. It might be better with a bit of honey or sugar, but haven't tried it yet myself.
My first trial with Adagio's Pu Erh teas, and can I just say that I LOVE this one! It's the perfect balance of earthy Pu Erh with a touch of creamy strawberry, chocolate and hazelnut. It's a wonderful desert tea which can be added with all the fixings - milk and sugar or honey (though it is naturally sweet on its own). This tea is highly recomended if you're trying out one of the flavored Pu Erhs. Going to be buying a bag of this on my next order!
A really interesting blend- hazelnut and strawberry. I was pleasantly surprised at what a nice pairing this was. I was also delighted to see this as a pu erh tea since I have not seen pu erh tea much outside of China. I would definitely get this one again.
I absolutely LOVE this tea. it has so many amazing textures and the flavors blend perfectly.
I did not like pu erh the first time I tried it (it was the pu erh dante blend). it tasted like fish. This, however, has totally changed my opinion. It is smooth and strong and sweet without being cloying.
It smelled great, like there were a bunch of different flavors in it. The taste is pretty bland, though. It's not bad, but it's not as good as I hoped. There's also... I don't know how to explain it, but it has a different 'feel' to it than other teas that I drink. It almost feels softer? I really can't describe it, but it's interesting.
This is my new favorite tea. It is bold without being overpowering and fruity without being acidic. It almost sits on the tongue like chocolate, very velvety and unctuous. I wouldn't add any sugar though, as it is already rather sweet.

I bought this on a whim and I am glad I did! Such an honest warm rich flavor that melts in your mouth. The hazelnut is apparent but not overwhelming with a nice berry sweetness. I am not sure I could identify that it is strawberry specifically. Like the smooth creaminess too! Will definitely buy again...
This sample smells of a perfect balance between the Pu Erh, strawberries, hazelnut, and cocoa. It even tastes just as good as it smells once it's steeped. Especially in the Pu Erh that gives it that earthy base with the sweet compliments of the strawberry flavor. Then the hazelnut and cocoa nibs amp that up, and add a strong body to the blend. All the while, the creme flavor is keeping it smooth too. It's very cohesive!
This was a nice smooth puerh tea, but not as good as the other pu erh I have previously had. It also didn't resteep as well as others I have had. The taste of strawberry and hazelnut almost overpower the tea on the first steeping, and the tea is too weak on subsequent steepings.
I was very, extremely, pleasantly surprised by this blend! I had tried 'regular' pu-erh and found its mossy, earthy taste to be really unappealing. However, the addition of the cream, cocoa, hazelnut, and strawberry flavors to this blend SIGNIFICANTLY improved the flavor! This was also surprising, since I've tried some blends that had strawberry and cocoa nibs in them and found them to be more on the bitter side. My best guess is that any bitterness from those two ingredients was eliminated by both the warmer tastes of cream and hazelnut as well as pu-erh's earthy flavor. The result is a delicious blend that's great with sugar and a touch of cream.
A fantastic, earthy, nutty combination, with the berries adding a great sweetness.
I'm new to pu erh, so I'm still learning to enjoy the earthy flavor, but I think the hazelberry was a good introduction to the style for me - it has just a hint of nutty and berry flavor to round out the style.
I wasn't expecting there to be such a sweet, chocolatey flavor to this. I was hoping for something more bitter.
I wanted to like this, but unfortunately, it was not my cup of tea! Even when I don't like a tea, I usually finish drinking the cup. With this tea, I could not. It is a very different flavor, sort of like drinking mold. Other people seem to love it, I'm just not a fan!
This was my first experience with pu erh, and I really like it. The hazelberry is very nice. I brewed a pot and wound up with extra, which I put in the fridge, and it was also very good cold!

This is such a wonderful blend! No sugar required, since the hazelberry adds just the right amount of sweetness to go along with the smoky pu erh flavor. Great for multiple brews as well!
This tea has grown on me. I didn't love it with my first cup, but now I'm really liking it. It's delicious mixed with Adagio's almond tea.

This tea tastes very earthy, with a hint of fruity flavoring that makes it mellow. I don't often drink pu erh, and I may have to drink more for a better opinion. I'll probably finish the sample but I don't think I'd buy this is bulk.
Years ago I tried pu erh and just couldn't handle it. I wasn't sure I'd like this one because I'm not a big fan of hazelnut, but it is SO good. Smooth. Doesn't require any sweetener or milk, but could handle it if you'd like. Ordering more!
Quite good. First nose to the opened bag. Rich light chocolate. Like opening a new box of your favorite 'Valentines day' chocolates. A little coconut palm sugar added to this very taste specific tea really brings out the under lying earthen tones and just a hint of cocoa. The addition of a little vanilla soy milk or cream will also bring out the great flavor of hazelnuts. Why 'taste specific'? You either like this type of tea or you hate it. I find this type of tea to be most curious and keep coming back for another taste. This is the tea that I return to when I am tired of tasteless green teas and sweet whites. Sort of, the 'counter culture' of teas. So attention all you tea rebels. If you enjoy this type of tea, then I am sure that your taste buds will be greatly pleased. If you are new to this type of tea, then a small sample tin is the way to go. Best wishes, Steve.
From the description of pu-erh teas in general, I thought I wouldn't like any of them. I generally prefer green, oolong, or white teas. However, this tea is pretty awesome. It tastes a little different each time you steep it, and is good plain or with milk or sugar.
The hazelnut and berry didn't work well together. And the hazelnut flavor itself was pretty overpowering. It may be better if it's only steeped for a shorter period of time.
I bought the pu erh sampler to see if I liked the variety, and I really like the smooth and mellow, almost creamy flavors. The hazelberry was my favorite. a nice treat on a cold afternoon. I'm looking forward to trying it iced when it gets warmer.
Sweet and delicious! It's easy to taste the berry, the hazel is a bit harder to detect so, up to preference.
After reading so many horrendous descriptions of rotting fish I was very leery about trying any of the pu erhs, but this one caught my eye and most of the reviews sounded good so I took a chance on a sample. WOW I love this one. It is sweet and smooth and the hint of hazelnut in the background is just right. :) Will definitely order this one again.
up until today, my absolute favorite tea (as boring as it is now, in comparison) was Earl Grey with just a touch of cream... but now... let's just say I'm ordering a HUGE amount of this. it smells so very good and brews to the most beautiful color... it's just sweet enough on its own to warrant drinking unsweetened. I'll next try it iced. The pu erh is dark and earthy, while the hazelnut shines through and the strawberries... oh the strawberries... it's just the best tea on this site. HIGHLY recommended.
With sugar, this tea is like candy in a cup. I love chocolate-covered cherries and this tastes just like that. Yum!
My first foray into pu'erhs, this was an excellent choice. I use it as one of my rotating everyday teas. Many of my colleagues have commented on how amazing it smells.
Wow, I dislike this tea. I like Adagio's Pu-Erh Dante, and expected a similar base. That was not the case. This tasted like I mixed Crunch Berry cereal with lawn mower clippings. It was horrible.
This tea is...some kind of long word that means freaking AWESOME! 1. The tea leaves looked and smelled lovely 2. Their aroma deepened even more while they steeped, which made my mouth water and 3. The taste sent me to an alien's backyard...I had no idea it would be THIS good. This is my first Pu erh tea and I must say...I need MORE!
One of my favorite teas. It is warm and nutty tasting. I like it with a pinch of sugar and some vanilla almond milk.
The smell is rather strong from the bag, but the tea itself is pleasantly smooth. The berry and nutty flavors are evident, but milder than the chorange pu erh. Still they work well with the earthiness of the tea. Sweetner does bring out the berry a bit more, but the rest of the tea isn't as stong as I would like. I suppose that's why I prefer straight black teas to flavored, but this was definitely worth trying and will continue to experiment with this one till the sample runs out.

Wonderful flavor and deep dark brew makes this one of my go-to teas. Good for multiple infusions this tea is also very forgiving when brewing. I have left it for longer then the recommended 5 minutes without turning bitter. As my first pu erh this has set the bar high. Although flavored, you can still get that salty funky pu erh flavor popping through.
I am not a huge fan of strongly flavored teas, therefore I was not a huge fan of my sample of this. It tastes exactly like it smells though, and if you like chocolate and strawberry flavored teas, this may be perfect for you.
Right off the bat, I knew this tea was going to be interesting. The bag smelled heavily of hazelnut and strawberry, and who doesn't love that? Same smell when steeping, too. The hazelnut definitely comes through in the flavor, but I think the strawberry gets lost. As it cools, the earthy flavors become more pronounced. The hazelnut flavor will linger after the tea is gone.
This was my first cup of tea that wasn't a commercially available black or green (also my first review. The aroma is great and puts me in a good mood. The flavor is also good, but perhaps I expected more. Overall, quite the enjoyable blend. I'll definitely have to try it again once my tea palate is more developed.
Note: I don't have a fancy way of measuring temperature and I used an electric kettle, so I'm assuming it was 212F.
Way too strong for me. I am going to try it again but with half the amount of tea advised and a little milk. Nice initial flavor but too strong. Also, there could be more of a strawberry taste. Tasted mostly hazelnuts.
Like a warm version of a strawberries and cream milkshake with hot fudge! Absolutely delicious, perfect for when you need something sweet but don't want all the calories. Wow, so delicious.
I've been on a pu erh kick lately, and this totally hit the spot. It's got the rich earthiness of pu erh, but the sweetness of the berries and nuts adds a nice layer without overpowering the essential qualities of the tea. Definitely recommended

This tea (to me) smells terrible. However, the flavor makes up for the smell and them some. It's a very mild tea, with soft chocolate and hazelnut flavors, followed by a gentle fruit flavor at the finish.
