Ooooh Darjeeling Customer Reviews

Very rare oolong from Singbulli Estate, Darjeeling, India. Muscat grape and apricot pit aroma (also the mark of fine Darjeeling black teas). Dried fruit flavor, lingering floral notes. A lesson in 'terroir': the place where the tea is grown.

★★★★☆

My first oolong, so not an expert, but this was pretty good. Not sure it has that 'wow' factor I'm looking for, but will see...

★★★★★

This darjeeling tea has a very light and crisp taste. I find that it is perfect for relaxing after coming home from work/school. Having a cup of this tea is a great way to recycle yourself in the late afternoon. I usually have a cup around 5 or 6pm (when I get back from work) and it gets me ready for the evenings festivities. I highly recommend this as a de-stresser or just as a good cup of tea!

This is really yummy. Not too strong but lots of flavour.

★★★★★

This was a fantastic tasting experience. I love Oolong teas and this was an interesting journey. The flavour of this tea was fantastic. A fruity, slightly floral bouquet led to a long finish. This is a tea worth taking time over to taste the different layers. This tea will be on my favorites list.

A rare oolong from India and it resteeps wonderfully.

★★★★★

A unique oolong indeed. Lots of flavour. I cannot get enough of this.

I think the only reason I don't love this tea is that I'm not very good at tea. My tea-crazy friends love it, so...I just didn't find that much flavor.

★★★★★

This is a tea I can easily drink all day. It smells and tastes lightly fruity, yet earthy at the same time. I recommend brewing five full minutes (if brewing with an ingenuiTea or other more 'western' method) for full flavor. Also, this tea is good for many re-steeps. Very nice Oolong.

★★★★★

Such a great tea. It's perfect blend of oolong and darjeeling because one doesn't overpower the other. They compliment each other quite nicely!

★★★★★

This tea is unbelievable. Seven infusions and still going strong. Great flavor, the first infusion might actually be the least enjoyable. More research necessary

★★★★☆

I actually managed to accidentally steep this for about fifteen minutes (I was aiming for three, but got distracted). Surprisingly, it still tasted good! Apparently, it's a forgiving tea, and it has a nice taste to it.

This is wonderfully smooth but still unmistakably darjeeling. I love that you can brew it for a strong flavor and not end up with something only fit to tone your skin with if you miscalculate by a minute or two.

★★★★★

This tea is simply delicious. Nothing fancy, but is so smooth and good. It's a great tea to have on a chilly night. I will definitely be ordering this again as a good standby.

★★★★★

Great tasting oolong tea! I love having it after dinner on a cool night.

★★★☆☆

It's alright. It reminds me too much of green tea, which I hate.

★★★☆☆

Not at all what I expected, fairly mild in flavor.

not what I was expecting when I ordered the sample, but still a good brew. I might buy it again.

This was one of my first forays into green teas. Definitely one I will be returning to.

I thought this tea was very light and refreshing. It doesn't hit me for a big pick me up but it's a great unwinding tea for when I get home from work.

★★★★☆

This tea was a surprise. It had a frutty scent after opening the pouch. But after brewing it, it only had a hint of the frutty flavor and earthy flavor as well. It felt like autumn. The only complaint I probably have is it is not strong enough compared to the oolong 18 or gunpowder.

★★★★★

I think that this is my favorite darjeeling. This is my go to one!

★★★★★

Oh baby. I tried five different teas in various categories, and this one was gone way before the others. Add a little honey- heaven!

★★★★★

i found this tea ia best when i get home from work and get a chance to set down to relax. very nice taste not bitter like other teas

★★★★★

Ooooh Darjeeling is an very smooth oolong tea. Like it very much and would purchase again.

★★★★★

This was a surprisingly good tea an Oolong from Darjeeling...I almost didn't believe it but i bought the sample and loved it. Right away you could tell it wasn't an oolong from china or formosa

★★★★★

This makes a great mealtime tea. it's flavor is a bold darjeeling. steeped for a long enough time, the flavors will truly come out.

I'm new to tea, so I'm not great at describing the subtle flavors. I can only say that this is really good, and I'm gettin ready to order it again!

★★★★☆

This tea is lovely. It's one of my favorites so far.

★★★★☆

Great cup of tea! The fruity notes mixed with honey made this is a balanced, delightful cup of tea.

This darjeeling tea was exactly what i was looking for. Very pleased with the structure of the taste, definitely buying more.

★★★☆☆

Apparently darjeeling isn't really my thing. I didn't feel strongly about this one way or another.

★★★★★

Great smooth flavor, not bitter at all. Second steep was just as good as the first. I probably could have steeped it a few more times, but it was getting late.

Just tried this today and find it very smooth and tasty. I could drink this every day and tire of it.

Based on other reviews I had very high expectations. This is good, but I much prefer some of the other Darjeelings, such as the 'Spring' when available.

★★★★★

To describe it - I'd have to say a perfect cross between a black tea (think Golden Monkey types?) and an oolong. Delicate flavor.

Love Ooooh Darjeeling tea! By far my favorite oolong, will buy again.

★★★★☆

I'm so accustomed to green tea (Japanese or Chinese) that to drink a darjeeling felt downright strange! But, I was pleasantly surprised. It was a unique flavor.

Really nice layers of flavor in this one. Notes of peach on the palate that are subtle but present. Can be re-brewed a number of times. A little expensive in my opinion for what it is, but I found myself continuously grabbing for this tea while I had some.

★★★☆☆

Nothing special about this tea, not capturing the essence of either oolong or darjeeling.

Very nice oolong tea. Mild, but still a good clean tea flavor. A very good choice for an all day, every day tea. Will most definitely get more of this tea.

★★★☆☆

I am not a huge fan of Darjeeling. The 'floral notes' combined with the 'floral' quality of oolong was too much for me

★★★★☆

I really enjoyed ooooh darjeeling, it has a great slightly fruity flavor that lasts through multiple infusions.

★★★☆☆

Pretty good tea if you like roasted oolongs. Not my preference, though. Has a strong roasted flavor with a lingering, complex sweetness. I taste a subtle aftertaste of grape as well. This is a fragile tea, so lower steep time and temperature to avoid astringency.

★★★★★

It has a great somewhat fruity flavor but it's not overpowering. It's pretty mild and a great transition tea into oolongs.

★★★★☆

I decided that I wasn't a huge fan of oolongs but this is definitely the best of the ones I have tried. It has a somewhat dark taste but is smooth and subtle at the same time. It will be bitter if you oversteep.

★★★★★

This is the first oolong I have ever tried and I love it. Must buy the big bag next time.

★★★★★

I took one sip and couldn't believe this wasn't a flavored tea. The peachiness of oolong and the muscat-like flavor of Darjeeling are a godly pairing.

★★★★☆

A very good, basic black tea. More flavor and less bitterness than the typical store varieties. I will definitely buy this again.

★★★★★

Very nice tea

I love Darjeeling tea. However, it's hard to find one is not astringent. Then, I tried this 'ooooh darjeling'. Since it's an oolong and not a black tea it isn't as astringent/bitter since it's not as oxidized as the black tea. I have fallen in love with oolong Darjeelings. If you like black Darjeeling tea but are not fond of the bitterness then you'll love this since it has no bitterness. This is probably the best Darjeeling tea I've had in the past two years.
