This is a great tea, but be careful not to overbrew it. It becomes incredibly bitter after a couple of minutes, and it can't be saved. But if you be careful about the brew time, it tastes as good as it smells.
Lightly oxidized oolong from Nantou county, Taiwan. Similar in style to Tung Ting, its tightly rolled leaves slowly unfurl through several steepings. Jade oolong is loved for its fresh green-floral aroma, sweet flavor, and delicate texture.

This is a great tea, but be careful not to overbrew it. It becomes incredibly bitter after a couple of minutes, and it can't be saved. But if you be careful about the brew time, it tastes as good as it smells.
A very gentle tea. It has just the perfect amount of caffeine to wake me up in the morning without a jittery, caffeine-induced awakening.
Sweet and smokey, very delicious! I steeped in cast iron and that really brought out the flavor!
tasty and grassy i enjoyed this tea very much. it has a flavor that can be drank throughout the day.
Beautiful in the cup and easy to drink. Light like a green tea, but with the distinctive oolong character.
A bit strong, but if you experiment with the temp and steep time just a bit, the taste is satisfying and not overwhelming.
Such a great oolong. Perfectly subtle and delicious. I almost love it more than my favorite, Jasmine green.
I am a fan of oolong teas, and this one did not disappoint. I enjoyed it very much.
This tea is great if you don't have a strainer. You don't need much for a strong brew and the leaves are large, making it very easy to drink through your teeth.
This is a pleasant tasting green oolong. The liquor is smooth with a nice aftertaste.
Interesting taste if you are into oolong. I might reorder in the future.
good, not great but good. Strong but it was not overwhelming.
Definitely buying this again, I only got a sample and had to try not to drink it all in one sitting.
A nice and floral Oolong sweet and aromatic, a great evening treat, try it in a cold brew after your second or third infusion !
My favorite oolong for a while. I feel guilty drinking it so much and not giving my other teas attention, but its just right with a smooth flavor, goes well with honey and rebrews well. I step longer each rebrew.
It has a nice finish. It does come up short after second brew.
I enjoy oolong tea. This is one of my favorites. You can steep it 3 or 4 times.
Almost kind of like a Green Tea in some ways, but with the delicious smooth taste of an Oolong. I prefer it slightly sweetened, but it was delicious either way when hot! This has been my favorite Oolong that I have had yet.
Favorite oolong that I've tried. Tastes as described. Holds up to multiple infusions better than any other tea I've tried that with.
My new favorite! First time trying an oolong tea, and I absolutely loved it. I'm pretty sure I finished off my sampler a little more quickly than is entirely reasonable, and I'll definitely be getting more.
Probably my favorite oolong that I have tried, followed closely by Oooh Darjeeling. Just bought 4oz and can easily see myself doing it again in the future. Tastes a bit like Ali Shan.
This has become my go-to oolong. It has a very refreshing, light flavor. It has a fantastic light floral smell that reminds me of springtime. I would highly recommend.
gentle flavor than opens up into a smooth light fragrant taste. Love the orchid notes and greenness to the taste!
I like this tea. It was different from the only other oolong I had before this and the formosa oolong. A little grassy but I think I'll grow to like it
My favorite oolong and one of my favorite teas. Like a good relationship it is complex but forgiving. I will not list favorite times and temperatures, because I really don't care. It is amazing when over steeped at 212 degrees or minimally steeped at 185 and everywhere in between. Each cup is different and delicious. Experiment to your heart's content.
i have been drinking for a while and i love it it is a great tea
Jade oolong had a fresh, light flavor reminiscent of jasmine but a more delicate version. I'll try 4 minutes for the first brew next time.
A delicious and smooth oolong, I love this one because it has that warm, lovely green oolong taste that I had been hoping for.
So delicious. Soothing, mellow, just the perfect cup of tea after a long day
Method: Gongfucha with 5 grams of tea to 100 ml of water with a quick rinse.
This tea smells great, right out of the bag. The scent of the dry tea is creamily floral. The leaves are tightly rolled very similar to a DongDing, making for very small leaf-pellets. They are a dull green color, exactly what you would expect to find in a greener Oolong.
1st Infusion (10 seconds): Even with the rinse this infusion is still very light. The Color is very light shade of green. The Scent is creamy, but has slight floral tones to it. The Taste is very clean, kind of like honeysuckle. The Aftertaste brings in a bit more of the creaminess.
2nd Infusion (15 seconds): The Color is a deeper shade of green-yellow, though still light. The Scent is much more creamy, with that honeysuckle from before coming out now in the smell. The Taste is creamy with a florally, minerally undertone to it. very mice. The Aftertaste is similar to the taste, but easier on the creaminess.
3rd Infusion (20 seconds): The Color is still that nice yellow-green. The Scent is very creamy, the honeysuckle being shunted aside. The Taste is thick, that creamy-floralness is still there, but with a slightly bitter undertone. The Aftertaste is creamy in the back of tongue and just lingers there.
4th Infusion (25 seconds): The Color is a little greener, but is still a beautiful shade of yellow-green. The Smell is like thick honeysuckle nectar. The Taste is slightly bitter, but the creaminess is still there in the background. The Aftertaste is a bit astringent, but once that passes there is still some floralness.
5th Infusion (30 seconds): The Color is the same as the last infusion. The Smell is sweet, but still lightly floral. The Taste has dropped all bitterness for a fruity honeysuckle. The Aftertaste is less astringent, though it's still there.
Summary: This is a solid tea. It has many of the typical qualities you would expect of a Taiwanese green Oolong. I'm going to be steeping this out more, but looking into the Gaiwan now, you can see that the leaves are mostly whole and colored a deep green with that reddish ring of oxidation along the edges. Overall a nice tea, and a solid budget buy.
Everything a good oolong should be. Tightly-rolled leaves open up in the water to release their natural oils into the tea. A mild flavor with a good mouth feel, Jade Ooolong is a wonderful light, hot tea. Needs very minimal honey or sugar to bring out all it's flavors.
My roommates favorite! One of the most refreshing tea's we have tried.
mild and smooth and a little bit floral as some other reviews have also mentioned
I drank this sweetened and unsweetened. It has a great flavor.
I can be hit or miss about oolongs. This one seemed better than some since it was a lighter brew, but I don't know that I'd buy it again.
Really enjoyable, with lighter floral and vegetal notes and a natural sweetness. I didn't find it very well suited to a second steeping.
A nice fresh clean oolong. This will be one of my favorites for a long time.
Good tea for a relaxing afternoon. Brew a cup of this, find a good book, and get comfy.
This tea smells wonderful, and has a nice, light flavor. The second steeping fell flat so I may experiment with it a bit.
This was my first oolong tea and it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. Lots of floral aroma, smooth and delicate. Will definitely buy again
Love it! Very smooth, definitely a tea for every occasion
This is a really good oolong for the price. This package smelled and tasted just like the sample.
I love me some jade oolong. It's fresh and uplifting but not a strong tea. It's the sort of thing I drink when I want subtle flavors and a feeling of wellness rather than something heady and commanding.
This tastes like an everyday oolong. Something that isn't brisk but still has lots of flavor. It would be good especially on a rainy day.
This is a pretty standard Oolong. It is my new go to tea for work, but there is not really much special about it. Mild vegetal flavor, very green. Would recommend as an everyday tea, not a special occasion 'knock my socks off' kind of tea.
I've been slowly converting from black teas to oolong, and Jade Oolong seems to have been a very good first go at it. This is a surprisingly flavorful oolong and is very soothing.
I really enjoyed this tea. It has a great floral scent and is not too overpowering in taste. A very nice oolong that isn't too expensive.
I liked this tea, it was very tasty in my mouth...
OMGosh! This tastes as wonderful as it smells. I think this is now my favorite tea. I highly recommend it!!
This is by far one of my favorite tea! Very light with a hint of jasmine flavor.
