A rare tea from Phoenix Mountain in Guangdong province, China. Perfumy, orchid, and almond. Smooth and refined texture with flavors of fresh apricot, peach pit, and honey. Incredibly long finish. This is a tea to take your time with!

A high quality dark oolong. It is not my favorite oolong, but it tastes better than most oolongs.

This was a very enjoyable tea - nice and smooth. Following others suggestions I steeped at 185 for 3 minutes. There was no bitterness in my cup. CT 11/20/23 2.5g.

I am a fan of oolongs and this was no exception. For me, every sip gives a little something different. At first, there were the more woody/nutty/earthy notes, which then transitioned to hints of fruits/florals, before finishing with honey-like notes. It was a really nice cup of tea that whispers savor me as you sip and escape the chaos around you.

Dancong Aria is a great tea for some!..For me..I cannot vibe with the bitterness burnt note. I have played around & brewed this at varying temps. The only temp and time where I like it 'Ok' was 180° for 3 mins. With that brew approach, more of that floral note came forward that has been mentioned here...but still, I was not massively wild for it. Perhaps at another time, my palate will be more into Dancong Aria!

Buy this. It's amazing. I love most oolongs but this one has it all: mineral, chocolate, floral, and a little oak.

My first steep was at 195ª and it was awful. It tasted burnt and had no other distinguishing characteristics. I dumped that cup and resteeped at 175º, and I picked up some of the floral qualities, and it was much more palatable. I still don't think this is a tea I'd pick again, but at least now I have a better idea of how to bring out its best should I encounter it again. Steeped 3 min @ 175º.

A decent oolong with the standard oolong mouthfeel and a light nutty, mineral flavor. Perhaps at a lower temperature, as others have suggested, you would get more out of this.

Lovely complex flavor. Beautiful tea. It’s rich yet floral almost fruity, a bit of caramel.

An absolutely lovely oolong, rich and malty tasting; not what I expected. I thought it would be light and fruit forward, but instead I tasted caramel earthiness, smooth and dark. A nice cup to wake up to.

Straight oolong that is a great landscape to showcase Adagio honey. I paired it with Bourbon honey and it was yummy. Cheers!

Lovely, smooth oolong with a subtle sweetness. There is a light mineral to it in the background. My first cup was brewed at a lower temp and shorter time than the directions suggested. The best way to drink this one is gong fu style, so that you can experience all the subtle flavor profiles as it changes from brew to brew. This may not be my favorite oolong but it’s definitely one I’d drink again.

Pretty good tea. I didn't notice anything too special about it. I don't think I'll order it again

A full-bodied, robust oolong, without compromising on sweetness. Has a bit of a malty character to it as well if you accidentally oversteep it, but not in an unpleasant way.

It was a nice tea but a little too floral for me. My partner had it as well and she thought it was great so it could just be me

A wonderful tea. I brewed for multiple infusions, increasing the water temperature with each steep.

What a wonderful cup this brews up into. It's got lots of lovely aroma and a complex number of flavors going on. I need to make a few more cups to really taste all it has to offer.

Tastes like a delicious autumn Forest with honey all over it. Very delicious. Strong and smooth. No astringency.

A nice tea with a subtle earthy and nutty flavor and aroma. Steeped it a little longer for a stronger flavor, but was not overpowering.

Wow long finish on this tea. It is probably one of the more complex I have have bought from Adagio.

This oolong Tea had a bit of gritty taste to i. I added some lemon with a little sugar and it was perfect .

I have to concentrate a bit to appreciate this one. I definitely get the peach, and, yep, a floral end. It's interesting, and good, but it's not good enough for me to re-order at this price. I'll enjoy the bit I have, though, saving it for times I can focus on enjoying it.

You have to be careful measuring out these leaves for a cup, they're larger than my teaspoon. Produces a golden hue with a slight tinge of orange. Little to no astringency, a cup of dacong aria is fruity and sweet.

This is the tea to make when you have time to savor the cup; this is not a tea to gulp and get on with the afternoon with.

Sure it resteeps well, but maybe the subtlety is lost on me as I'm not that excited to do so.

This is a 4.5 to me. Plenty of hojicha earthiness and a light brown sugar crisp

I highly recommend steeping this tea at a lower temperature and for a shorter time. The first steep we did was at 195 for four minutes and although the tea smelled toasty, it was too astringent. The second steep at 180 for 3 minutes was perfect. The toasty and nutty taste of the tea came shining through with no bitterness. It held up through multiple steeps. Will definitely go on our reorder list.

If you need a tea to wake you up, Dancong Aria is it! I brewed mine with burdock and manuka honey and steeped it a little longer than usual. It's not bitter, but it just has a unique smell and taste that really wakes you up. By itself, it's also a pretty plain tea so I look forward to experimenting with it. I would definitely recommend this tea!

Dark and long threads of oolong tea leaves were noted in my sample pouch.

I used three grams of tea, enough for a medium strength 12 ounce steep. I steeped at 190°F, as I don’t have a 195 button on my kettle. I steeped for the three minutes when the color depth was not getting any darker.

When hot, clean and smooth mild floral tastes were noted. Mild whole grain toasted bread and honey flavors were noted.

When warm, sweet raisin and date flavors were mild. Moderate pepper and mild mineral tastes were noted.

A mild bitterness was noted toward finish. This tea had an incredible long bready and peppery finish. (no sugar added)

This is a nice oolong; it has a similar flavor profile to one of my favorites, Fujian Rain, but it has a bit more of a floral undertone to it. I'm glad I tried it, but it's not something I'd pay a hefty price tag for. I'll stick with my standby favorite Fujian Rain.

This oolong was very smooth and rich with a natural honey sweetness and some mineral notes. It was subtly fruity as well and made for a very delicious cup!

This oolong is really complex and wonderful to enjoy gong fu style. So many layers sweet dates, caramel flavors come through in the first few steeps. As the twisted leaves unfold more flavors of stone fruit and florals. This tea held up for many steeps without becoming astringent and the flavor lingered on for quite some time. What a lovely oolong at a great price.

Was a bit weak after 3 minutes. This is a tea that may need a little more time.

This is a 'fine' oolong, but not one I would actively choose or decide to buy again. There is nothing wrong with it, and it is very drinkable, but nothing about it stood out to me.

I brew my tea to death because I like bitterness and astringency, so take everything I say with a grain of salt unless you’re like me. This is a nice, light to mid grade oolong with a heavy orchid taste and slight grassy notes. It has a good natural sweetness and airy mouthfeel. It also stands up well to multiple steepings.

Lovely tea! The taste, for me, is like a blend of malt, almond and caramel with some mineral notes in the background. Love this! Very flavorful and relaxing!

I just ordered my third shipment of this tea in two months. I absolutely adore this tea - it's my favorite any time of the day. The warm, sweet, mineraly aroma coming from a fresh cup is reminiscent of hay and is endlessly comforting. The flavor is complex; at once nutty and floral and sweet. I enjoy it without sweetener. I love that it is still an excellent tea long after it's gone cold because I got distracted. A very forgiving tea that I can get 2-3 infusions out of. I'm in love.
