One of my new favorites, so aromatic. The Sage is such an unusual flavor to find in tea, and I loved it. I found it to be light, and would probably like more leaves than I used for a stronger brew
Bold, earthy flavors of berries and herbs; a grounding tea with a complex character.

Update 2026 - I like to joke that instead of burning sage to cleanse the vibes/energy, I just drink this tea to do an energy cleanse on myself... :) Still love it, still keep a supply around all the time!
Updated - Bberry Sage Oolong quickly became a favorite for me and I always have a jar full year round (though maybe it leans less fall/winter than the spiced teas). The flavors for me are so nicely balanced - cozy, garden, fresh, earthy, deep. Even the smell of the dry tea calms my senses. (3 mins @ 195º)
12/11/21 - A very smooth, earthy, balanced cup with nice summer-into-fall vibes! Since I finally broke into this sample pouch, I've been drinking it daily! Sage brings a mellow herbal sweetness and the blackberry brings a quiet/light (but deep flavored -- not tangy) fruit juiciness, which combine well with the earthy oolong. The sage works really well with the particular oolong base in this blend, which has very little astringency (whereas the base in the grapefruit oolong has a pleasant complementary astringency imo). I've been getting two delicious steeps each time. I like it with a little honey to bring out the sage and berry. Some reviewers have mentioned the sage tastes bitter, but even unsweetened, I don't find this blend to be bitter. Steeping shorter (3 mins) brings out more berry, and longer (5 mins) brings out more sage. I enjoy both!
The sage in this tea is quite potent. I barely (if at all) smelled the blackberry, which was a bit disappointing. I tried this tea hot, and then with honey, and then waited for it to cool and actually found that it was surprisingly more palatable cold.
First time trying an oolong tea. I like the blackberry sage taste combination, but I guess the oolong isn't for me taste wise.
This tea is one of my favorites to enjoy as a refreshing iced tea in the summer.
A soothing yet sweet cup that doesn’t put me to sleep like a lot of other teas including Sage. It’s the perfect drink for work or study time for me, when you need a calm focus and a bit of a relaxing boost. Smooth enough for daily drinking and no bitterness.
This is a lovely, mild oolong. It’s not bitter, grassy, astringent, and doesn’t have a mineral taste. I have steeped it 4 w, with each steep longer, and they were all pleasant. Minus a star simply because it doesn’t taste like blackberry or sage to me or the family who tried it, even with experimenting time and temp. I have had other blackberry sage teas where the flavor is more pronounced.
Once fall hits this blend hits in a very amazing way. The Earthiness of the Oolong when complimented by the tart Blackberry...ooolala...add the Sage on top and it's like if Autumn had a flavor. Perfect in every way!
Love the earthy oolong flavor with a hint of sage and blackberry.
This is a perfectly balanced blend of earthy herbal and fruity tastes that surprised me because of how good it is. I didn't even know sage tea was a thing and now it's my new favorite. So far I'm enjoying it iced but I'll try it hot once the weather cools down - that is, if I have any left by then.
Really lovely. I've had this as iced and hot and I find it much better hot.
This is one of my absolute favorites! I have gifted it several times, and it is always a hit. Must try
This was AMAZING! The blackberry flavor is foremost, and melds well with the sage and oolong. This is a definite repeat buy, and I am glad I got the bigger bag. Five udjats.
Really good flavor. Really enjoyed this blend! Wasn't bland. Tons of flavor. Didnt need any sugar...!.
I really like this Blackberry Sage Oolong tea. I don't really taste the blackberry but it has a nice sweetness to it and the sage adds an herbal taste.
I love the woodiness of the sage with the slight smokiness of the oolong and the hint of sweetness from the blackberry.
One of my go to teas. I enjoy the very light blackberry flavor and the slight hint of sage. While not my every day tea. I enjoy a cup on the weekends.
The packet has a nice blackberry aroma. I usually cold brew this tea and it has a light blackberry with oolong flavor.
This has very quickly become my favorite flavored tea. I love a fruit and herb combination in most cases, and this one balances the earthy sage with the slightly tangy berries really well.
The scent sends me to a whimsical garden.. The flavors of blackberries and sage compliment each other. One does not overwhelm the other. A pleasant tea..
I used to get Republic of Tea’s Blackberry Sage black tea but I’ve been preferring loose leaf over sachets lately. This blackberry sage oolong has been wonderful! A lovely light sweetness from the blackberry, and an earthy savoriness from the sage. It’s a truly unique combination with the oolong tea. I’ve only had it hot for now but I know I’ll be doing this as an iced tea at some point soon - it will be incredibly refreshing, with a sprinkle of sugar or Splenda to bring out the fruitiness. So glad I chose this tea!
My whole family enjoys this tea iced and hot. Has become a staple and my kids don’t even ask me to sweeten it.
Overall a nice tea. The sage is very robust and earthy, and compliments the sweetness of the blackberry nicely without overwhelming. Although after a second steeping the blackberry flavor fades out.
This tea was alright- the sage overpowered the blackberry flavor a bit, though. Mildly astringent, but it wasn't too drying.
This tea is absolutely lovely. It's smooth and well-blended. The raspberry notes are a nice touch with the blackberry and sage.
Not my favorite, but a solid tea. I love the blackberry and sage flavors but would prefer it as a black or green tea.
I enjoyed the mix of sweet and savory in this tea. I think the blackberry and the sage complimented each other really well.
Super safe flavor in this one. I liked it, but not going to lie was a little disappointed as I really wanted more of a blackberry punch in the tea. It was there I just found it too faint. The oolong was a nice base here for the smooth texture and earthy sort of flavor in the background. I am not counting this one out though as I drank it with nothing added to my cup this time and I am definitely going to try it again hot with sweetener and also iced with sweetener to see if I can pull some more blackberry notes to the front. Glad I got to try this one in CT today. 212° 3 min
I was definitely surprised by how well the flavors of this worked together! It's a very refreshing tea; I haven't had many savory teas, but I'd definitely get this again!
CommuniTEA sample: 3 min @ 212 F, second infusion for 5 min @ 212 F. I think that this is a 3 ½ star blend for me, there are things I like about it and things that I don't like. When hot, the liquor smells a little artificial and too strongly of raspberries, and more like medicine or candy or something than the actual fruits. But as it cooled down, it smelled and tasted like a Pinewood forest floor, having hints of sweetness and bitterness from the blackberries, some earthy, herbal notes from the sage, and maybe a slight mineral taste from the oolong? I don't think I could really taste much oolong, and I would have liked the flavorings to be a little weaker so that the tea itself could come out.
a lovely tea with a nice balance of blackberry, sage, and underlying oolong. Great hot, or iced... the fine line of making these flavors balance out is tricky, I'm impressed at the pairing perfection, honestly!
I wasn't sure what to expect with this tea, but it was delicious. Nicely balanced with a subtle herby, berry taste.
Love this tea. It was exactly what I was hoping for when I found it. Another company used to make something very similar and I was so sad when they discontinued. This is actually what got me to try Adagio teas and it did not disappoint.
One of my favorites. I wasn't sure about it when I ordered but I found it to have a very pleasing taste with the sage added. It has replaced the plain blackberry tea in my cupboard. I enjoy it iced every day but it is also quite good hot.
One of my all time favorites. I keep a supply in my tea cabinet at all times.
Delicious Oolong! I wasn’t sure if I would like this blend, it I truly did. I’ll be adding this one to my favorites. I love blackberries and this tea is so good.
It's good but I thought it would have a stronger blackberry flavor. It's more of a hint .
Interesting flavor, glad I sampled, but not one of my favorites.
I was excited to try this tea. I'm on an oolong adventure so had to try this one. The berry tartness offsets the sage creating a wonderful mixture of flavors. I am a fan!
I really like blackberry and sage together. This tea was really good as iced. Have not tried it hot though.
Love this tea it has great flavor of blackberry and the sage and is nicely balanced. No flavor overpowers another.
The berry flavor is upfront and won't be for everyone, but it's overall a good blend that has a nice, pleasant combination of aromas and flavors. Good when you want something that's not 'powerful' without being bland.
My favorite! Always helped me ground in the morning, perfect for relaxing
Oh wow. This is lovely and not my usual. The berries came through rather well for me and the sage provides an unusual but welcome flavor note. I can't really describe what it tastes like other than to tell you the sample bag is both cheap and worth it
This is amazingly well-balanced. The dry leaves smell strongly of berries, but once brewed sage is the most forward scent. The sage is the strongest flavor, but the berries are sweet enough to keep it from being overwhelming, and the oolong is a nice, deep earthy flavor that balances and ties everything together very nicely. This is one of my new favorites.
You don’t taste too much of the sage, but it is a pleasant berry-forward oolong.
Pretty good tea overall, maybe a little too much sage flavor with not quite enough of the blackberry flavor
A great winter oolong. Enjoyed it on a snow day and it hit the spot. Feels very seasonal, so this might be a tea that will have to wait until fall and winter come back around. But still really good.
I did not care for this. The smell and taste to me were to much like Marijuana.
Love this one! A very earthy and unique team, so good plain and just as good in a latte!
