The apple and other spicies and sweetness comes out well when hot. As the tea cools, the apple becomes less noticeable and the spices be some quite strong. Highly recommend for a cold night outside

I have never been a tea drinker but have recently started ordering and trying. This is my favorite so far! I don't drink anymore (alcohol) but this definitely has a toddy flavor and is my go-to so far, for unwinding in the evening.

★★★☆☆

I found this tea to be extremely spicy. It smells great and has a Christmas vibe, but for me the spiciness was just overpowering.

I love this tea. It's a balanced blend of fruit and spices that make a lovely treat any time of day. A favorite from the seasonal sampler.

I bought the 3oz bag last year to try this and i loved it so much, i milked the small bag till i could get the big bag. This tea has a nice fruity flavor with sweet notes and spices. Very good all year round hot or cold. No caffiene, so go nuts. Some people have said it tastes like bubble gum. I you don't get a good mix of the ingredients that can happen, but I love that flavor as well. If you get a good variety it's super fruity with nice spices and sweet notes. I can usually get an extra steep if i don't wait too long.

By far the best tea I have herbal wise from Adagio. I like to add a few splashes of cinnamon roll oatmilk creamer to cut the tartness of the cranberry a bit. It's a delightful sweet treat and I can drink it as my mid afternoon cuppa... While the cranberry can be overwhelming, I think the other flavors compliment it well.

I ordered this tea, then got sick. It was the perfect blend for the cold weather and to help rehydrate. Great flavor and Sometimes I blended it with the cinnamon chai to add a little extra cinnamon kick.

★★★★☆

was a solid fruity cup. Because it was called toddy, after drinking a bit I added some apple whiskey and that was really great too.

A lovely citrus spice tea that reminded me of the hot toddies that I would make when sick. I had to resist adding bourbon or whiskey to this delightful cup.

CommuniTEA portion: Stepped for 9 minutes at 212. Initial sweet aromas upon opening packet didn't appear in the taste to me. This was more of an apple spice note than anything. Although the fruit seemed to take over as it cooled. Overall, decent herbal sip.

I have had this tea in the past and never reviewed until today. I steeped this for well over 15 minutes. It is a wonderful fruity blend with the perfect amount of spice and tartness.

Today's CommuniTea packet is yuletide toddy with rose hips, hibiscus, apple pieces, orange, ginger, cinnamon, cherries, and cranberry, cinnamon, orange flavor and ginger flavors. I generally prefer herbal fruit teas chilled, so I cold brewed it overnight and it's lovely. With more of the blend on hand, I was able to make a small pitcher of it and I've been sipping on and off all day. Nice and refreshing. The packet plus another three teaspoons of yuletide toddy and abt 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon chips in 36 ounces of water in the refrigerator.

Excellent. I noticed three big orange peels in my sample. Taste is as advertised, orange, cranberry and a touch of cinnamon. Probably would not drink this outside of winter but it screams holidays.

In the bag, it smells like juicy fruit gum. Brewed, it tastes fruity with a hint of spice. Naturally sweet.

In spite of considering cold-brewing this tea because of the hibiscus, I brewed it at 195 for 3 minutes. I was overwhelmed by the tartness from the hibiscus that didn’t go away with cooling, so I poured it into a mason jar and put it in the fridge. I’m hoping that will tame down the tartness and bring out some fruit flavors.

Surprisingly sweet, almost like a candy. The fruit all blends into one homogeneous flavour; the spices are a little too light to help differentiate the fruits. As it cooled, the cinnamon was able to be tasted a little more. Maybe if cold brewed the flavours would be more pronounced on their own?

Very sweet and robust fruity tea that feels like a hot winter drink instead of the usual summer feel that fruity teas have.

Sweet apple cider flavor creates a grounding base for this tea, accented by tart, bright cranberry and orange. Sparkling ginger and cinnamon float above these wonderful fruit flavors, creating the coziest tea for chilly winter nights!

I heated up some apple cider and steeped Yuletide Toddy in it for ten minutes. Yummy! The spices and fruit flavors all came through and turned apple cider into mulled cider.

This one appeared in my communitea box just when I was craving some rose hip tea and it definitely did not disappoint. The spice and ginger balance nicely with the tang of the rose hips without overwhelming it and orange is a perfect complement. Definitely a new favorite.

This is nice! It tastes mostly like cranberry and hibiscus, with some orange and spices. It tastes like what they were going for. Not something I would reach for often, but it's a nice treat.

Update: 12/3/22: I decided to try this again with some adjustments. I cut the water in half from what I used last time. My packet seemed a little light so I added extra rose hips, hibiscus, orange peels, ginger, and cinnamon. Steeped at 200° for 10 minutes. Much better this time. Lovely, spicy, fruity cup. I would like it cold, but prefer it piping hot.

12/24/21: I usually love a good tisane but this one to me is kind of middle of the road. It’s ok, but not my favorite by far. 200° for 8 minutes.

Drank hot with a teaspoon of honey after coming in from the cold. Hibiscus, tart apple, and hint of orange. Lovely color! As it cooled it got sharper and fresher. Would be great iced!

When I opened the packet, I smelled something extremely familiar from my childhood that I couldn't put my finger on until my partner realized what it was - bubblegum!

Some odd combination of the rosehips and hibiscus, and the added cinnamon, cranberry, and orange 'flavoring' somehow turned the scent and the flavor of this blend into straight-up bubblegum flavor, exactly like a Hubba Bubba roll or a piece of pink Double Bouble.

I steeped at 205 degrees for 5 minutes. It wasn't exactly bad, but definitely not something I would have expected from this. Nothing much jumped out at me besides the bubblegum-like cocktail of added flavorings, and I found the cinnamon, hibiscus, and rosehip flavors to all be very muted. I would be curious how it is iced!

This has a nice spiced wine taste to it, like Glogg.

This tea was steeped at 212°F for 9-10 minutes and was sweetened with 1.5 tsp of tea sugar. I got distracted and steeped the tea for slightly longer than I intended. A 12 oz Adagio Advent mug was used. An aroma reminiscent of Bubble Yum or Bubblicious wafted from the tea leaves. I’m not always fond of spiced teas, but the spices don’t overpower this tea; rather it has a lovely citrus, ginger, cinnamon flavor. It’s a nice comfort tea.

Communitea 12/3/22 An interesting herbal of fruitiness and spices. More of a caffeine drinker - this herbal had strong linger of cinnamon and lots of apple pieces. I steeped 8 minutes so for me it was just ok.

I really enjoyed this fruit-filled and richly spiced tisane. I added rock sugar sparingly as suggested by others, and ended up accidentally steeping it longer than intended (maybe 12 minutes), and I loved it! I used 212 degree water of course. Really delightful tea that I think I will add to my caffeine free stash.

In the bag: Several huge rose hip pieces. Several strips of dark cherry. Two large chunks of orange rind. A few scattered apple pieces, ginger bits, and pieces of cinnamon bark. It certainly looks festive.

On the nose (pre-steep): Rose and cherry are large and in charge. An underlying sweetness. Almost like pink bubblegum. It's hard to pick out much else.

On the nose (post-steep): Smells exactly like mulled cider. Orange dominates. A hint of apple. The sweet undercurrent is gone. Clean texture.

On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Reminds me of sour Kool-Aid. Orange is the prime flavor. Hints of cinnamon and apple. Distinctly tart.

On the tongue (post-sweetener): Sour notes have softened. Otherwise, no change.

Opinion: If Adagio sought a tart mulled cider, they hit their target perfectly. It's not my cup of sour, however. I would have liked it more if it tasted like it smelled.

Preparation: 7 min @ 212 ℉, ½ tsp monk fruit sweetener

Updated Review 12-3-22

Yuletide Toddy

Suggested steeping directions: 5-10 minutes at 212°F I steeped this tea for the about 8 minutes at the suggested temperature, in approximately 11 oz of water with 1.5 tsp of rock/tea sugar. This is just an update on my previous review.

Upon opening, it smelled like bubblegum (Bubbleyum or Bubbleicious, to be specific), which was odd. All ingredients appeared to be present and it is a very pretty tea. It steeped into a really pretty, pinkish purple liquor that proved to be very flavorful. Hibiscus dominates while the tea is hot, with faint underpinnings of chocolate. Citrus becomes more apparent as the tea cools, as does the cinnamon. Very enjoyable, delicious tea. My 5 star rating remains.

I’ve never really been sure what a toddy, yuletide or otherwise is, and I wasn’t sure how the ingredients in this tea would work together, but was excited about trying it. (Is this considered a tea if it has no tea in it?)

Upon opening the packet, the most amazing aromas wafted out. It had a very strong fruity scent, the most noticeable, to me, being the cherry and the orange, along with cinnamon. It smelled absolutely delicious. Visually, all the ingredients seemed to be present, especially the apple pieces.

Once the tea had been steeped it had a very light, pinkish color. I was afraid that this meant the tea would be weak. I was very much mistaken. This tea had a strong, fruity taste with a bit of a spicy/cinnamony zing to it. It was absolutely delicious. I think I’ll have to find a place for this one in my stash.

A favorite nighttime tea each holiday season. Citrusy and fruity, a great option to drink by a fire.

★★★★★

This very fruity, subtlety spicy tea is so fragrant and delicious I had to have another cup as soon as I finished my first. Its strongest flavor is cherry and then cranberry and orange. It has an almost floral aroma. Yuletide Toddy is a tart tea overall, but a little sweet from the apple bits, the spicy cinnamon and ginger finish the sip nicely. This would probably make a great iced tea in the summer, but mine won’t last that long even if I order more..

Get creative with this fresh fruitcake in a cup. Use to make your own mulled cider or glögg (Swedish infused wine). Brew up a pot to use as an ingredient when baking festive holiday treats for a more layered flavor to your muffins, cookies, pancakes, and breads. A favorite application - brew it to an extra strong degree in cranberry juice, cool, and mix with an equal volume of orange juice, adding ice and a sprig of mint for garnish if desired...delicious, aromatic, and gorgeous.

This is way better than I expected. And I haven't yet, but I think it would be delicious hot with a bit of bourbon and some sort of sweetener.
