Blood Orange Customer Reviews

Deep vibrant color and sweet flavor. Hearty with a good balance of orange peel dryness and fruit juiciness.

Herbal teas, for me, are not stand alone. They are better when mixed with a base tea.

★★★★★

Tart but very delightful. Even my husband liked it.

★★★★★

Blood orange is one of my favorite Adagio flavors. It tastes great cold or hot, with or without honey. It has the sweetness and tartness of a blood orange which is exactly what I wanted.

★★★★★

Not too sweet, not to tart. A wonderful balance of flavors that I enjoyed both sweet and unsweetened.

★★★★★

Similar to the Berry Blast this too is a very pale comparison to the Celestial Seasoning type herbal teas. There's no way this would be enjoyed with anything added. So, sweet, so fruity, so tangy, so comforting. Thankfully the citrus flavor isn't overpowering, but you wont ignore it. Very happy this is in the rotation. Its Perfect!

LOVE the blood orange herbal blend. I drink it alone and recently blended it with wild strawberry. Delicious fruity blend!

★★★★★

A delicious fruity herbal blend. It's bright citrus flavor will perk you up although the blend is completely caffeine free. I enjoy the tartness and sweetness combined in this blend. It's quite delicious!

★★★☆☆

The smell on this one was a bit strong at first, but it actually turned out into a pretty good cup. Though, personally, I prefer a more aromatic blend.

★★★★★

Love this tea. Good as a tart drink without sweetener, or an orangey sweet delight with. A relaxing bedtime tea for me.

★★★★★

Very nice sweet flavor. It's great when you mix it with the Pina Colada. It's good enough to drink on its own without any sugar or anything! Very refreshing.

★★★★☆

I thought it was pretty good. Before I got my tea ball, I just put the tea in hot water and poured it in my cup through a strainer. For some reason, this way it tasted very sour. It tasted sour but there was no actual fruit taste. When I steeped it in my tea ball at the same temp for the same amount of time, it tasted better. Why? I have no idea. When I did it with the strainer method it tasted like some kind of cold medicine or something.

★★★★★

This is one of my absolute favorites. For me it is a gustatory and olfactory pleasure. I consider this to be umami (Japanese), for me. I drink this more than any other tea on a regular basis. It has a soothing taste and delightful aroma. I'm about to have a cup, which is currently steeping, as I write this.

This is one of my husband's favourite brews. I also bought it for a friend whose normal source went out of business. Both of them LOVE it. I give it a 'good' only because you can sort of reuse the leaves once, but it isn't as good. The third time is really just coloured water.

★★★★★

an amazing, tangy orange flavor without being too crazy-in-your-face. it doesn't have that chemical-orange taste or smell either, which is great. I love it!

★★★★☆

Good! I was told I need to mix this with another 'tea' though, like chamomile or a green needle. So, I plan to do that, but I love the scent of it!

★★★★☆

Wonderfully fruity! This tea is good iced or hot!

★★★★☆

I don't do a lot of herbal teas, but of the herbal teas I have tried this is definitely my favorite. I had a Zombie Blood Orange from the Think Geek assortment, which encouraged me to try this one. It has a good flavor. I like 'orange' drinks, so this one went over well with me.

★★★★☆

Pleasantly tangy, blends well with other fruity teas.

★★☆☆☆

It's safe to safe that I am probably not a fruity tea drinker. I didn't think I would be and after trying this it was confirmed. Like it's namesake it had a very orangey smell as well as taste. It was far too sweet. About the only thing I did like was the color it gave off.

Didn't like this too much it was weak. Needs stronger tea backing. took two bags to make great tea.

★★★★★

I wasn't sure whether I'd really enjoy this one but it is so delicious. It has hints of the blood orange but still maintains the tea flavor and the blend is great. This was much better than I'd anticipated.

Like flavor and would order again. Different than other oranges sampled. Rare case where I like Teavanna's orange better. Would like to see this mixed with other orange flavors.

★★★★★

I love this tea - bought a pound of it for daily drinking. Has a great sweet flavor coupled with citrus and general herbal taste.

★★★★★

I LOVE this tea! It is probably one of my favorites. It is very fruity and tart. I drink it hot or cold. Makes great iced tea too. I mix it with other teas. I cannot say enough about this tea!!!

This is an amazing tea! If you're like me and you like your tea a little tart, you'll love it. The color is beautiful and the smell is amazing as well.

★★★★☆

Lovely flavor and color. Usually I can get two cups from Adagio tea, but this one is not so good on the second batch.

★★★★★

A lovely addition to just about any tea... My favorite combo is with honeybush!

★★★★☆

This is a good tea to have with sugar. It has a good orange flavor that is slightly sweet and fragrant. It really only held up for one steeping though.

The smell personally had me a little thrown off, but the tea taste great and goes really well in blends!

★★★★☆

This tastes like mild orange peel and a perfect balance of rosehips and hibiscus, which is exactly what it is. It is stronger than some of the weaker more disappointing fruit teas you see other companies putting out, but not strong to the point where it suffers from the 'warm fruit punch' effect and ceases to taste like a light infusion. There is not enough hibiscus in it to become overly tart, which sometimes is a concern when that ingredient is added.

★★★★★

Great on its own, but a little stevia adds a whole other realm. This has been added to my list of go-to teas.

★★★★★

At first, I was scared to try this tea. Now, I have no idea why! It is tangy as well as sweet and fruity. It has a great color, and is great for midday to wake you up a little without the caffeine.

★★★☆☆

I was excited to try blood orange, never trying this type of tea before. It wasn't my favorite. It was still decent, but the strong flavor was a bit too overwhelming for my taste buds. I loved the color and smell of it, more than I enjoyed drinking it.

★★☆☆☆

While I do love blood oranges I didn't like this tea. I thought it was too tart and a bit bitter for my taste.

★★★★☆

Blood Orange tea was really good. It was fruity without being overpowering, and overall was a nice cup.

★★★★★

If you'd told me a few months ago that I would be drinking herbal tea on a regular basis, I would have laughed at you. This has become my favorite tea though. It's tart and a little dry tasting (I add a tsp of natural sugar), but is very refreshing. It's also packed with vitamin C from the hibiscus, rose hips and orange peel.

Update: This is still my favorite tea. I've gone through a 3oz package in just over 2 weeks and I've mainly been drinking it at work.

I don't typically care for this type of tea but it was yummy

★★★★☆

Very good blend. I'm not perfect on the steep yet so it has tasted different every time.

★★★★☆

This is my favorite fruit tea. Not too tart, and with just a slight hint of bitterness. Great with a touch of agave to sweeten it.

★★★☆☆

Smells wonderful, like orange and vanilla, but it's a little too sweet and cloying in the cup. Tea is a pretty ruby red.

★★☆☆☆

Unfortunately, I didn't like this one. There was no real orange flavour, and it was just very tart. I'm sure it would be great in a blend, but by itself it's not good.

★★★★☆

This tea was great! A little bitter, but I drank it with a little sugar and it sweetened up really nicely. This was one of my very first times making loose tea, and my first time having or making this tea, so I was nervous that it wouldn't come out well, but I'm glad that wasn't the case! I am still learning what kinds of teas I like, and boy am I glad that I chose this one!

★★☆☆☆

A fine tea it would seem, but it doesn't impart the orange flavour I would expect.

★★★★☆

Great tea. I loved the different flavour of orange as opposed to the boring orange.

★★★☆☆

This is not a bad tisane, but is also not out of the ordinary. The flavor seems a bit on the weak side. in fact the hibiscus flavor is almost equal to the orange flavor. Using too much or steeping too long leads to tartness. Probably best used in a blend.

★★★☆☆

This tea is pretty good. I like the taste and aroma.

★★★★☆

I really enjoy this tea hot or cold. Add some sugar and it is perfect in my opinion.
