Jasmine Yin Hao Customer Reviews

A deeply floral Yin Hao ('Silver Tip') grade jasmine from Fujian, China. Very layered fragrance, soft yet full-bodied with a sweet, slight dryness in the finish. Infused with jasmine many times over to create a truly unforgettable cup.

One word: Stunning. Absolutely the most incredible-smelling tea in my cabinet by far. As soon as I so much as catch a whiff of it, I can actually feel my muscles relaxing. It's honeyed and floral and even a bit 'rooty' underneath it all. Great plain or with just a dab of honey added in.

Absolutely, transcendentally good. Possibly one of my favorite teas I've ever had (and I've had many). 10/5 so very highly recommend. (I steep for 2.5 minutes.)

I was never a big fan of jasmine tea, but that may be because I worked in a crappy Chinese restaurant that sold crappy jasmine hot tea. This stuff is pretty good, but definitely needs just a little sugar.

★★★★★

This is a lovely tea! We enjoyed it's simplicity, yet boldness.

I could not taste or smell the Jasmine flavor. Sent an email for guidance on how much to brew and how long to brew and the response was informative. Tried less tea, more tea, less time and more time brewing and still virtually no Jasmine taste or smell. The green tea in the mixture was overbearing in all my trials. Ended up returning, without any hassle, this tea. There is no date on the tea so it might have been an old package of tea. Suggest all teas be dated. New bag of this tea was still weak on jasmine taste and aroma.

I am about to order this again but think I will steer away from it. Two bags and neither had much of a jasmine scent or taste. Still suggest all teas be dated so we know if a tea has been on the shelf for a long time

I usually love Jasmine teas, but this tasted very bitter for a Jasmine.

★★★★★

This tea produces a amber colored brew that is absolutely beautiful. Before I even brewed it I could tell I was going to love it. I do enjoy floral teas when they aren't overpowering and this did it perfectly. The smoothness of the green tea was accented by slight floral taste that was enhanced by the jasmine smell. I have yet to try this iced, as I try to try all my teas in a variation to figure out what's best. But I imagine this would be a delightful summer staple.

More perfumey and well rounded than the jasmine chun hao tea.

★★★★★

Excellent! Perfect jasmine flavor - not too strong and not too weak.

★★★★★

I tried the Jasmine tea sampler and found this to be the best and most cost-effective. I got a big bag.

★★★★★

Oh, Lord, this tea was absolutely delightful! It wasn't too harsh as the chun hao, but a little lighter and a upped the notch on Jasmine. If you want to take the next step in Jasmine teas, go for this tea.

★★★★★

Wonderfully smooth! Makes any evening immediately cozier. Perfect complement for a walk, I like to fill my thermos with some before I go out if I know I'll be out for a while. Also, it blends well with other greens.

★★★★☆

i really enjoyed the fragrant aroma of this tea. it made each sip that much more enjoyable. the flavor is delicate as greens are but the floral romantic jasmine makes it dreamy.

★★★★★

Amazing aroma and flavor! A little on the strong side, so I use a little less tea than recommended. Jasmine is not overpowering.

★★★★★

One of the two jasmine green teas I enjoy... great fragrance. One morning black, next morning green. life is good.

I love the different varieties that are offered in Jasmine flavors!

★★★☆☆

I really love jasmine. It's one of my favorite 'flavors' when it comes to tea. This tea however is so finicky its almost not worth it to me. Too much tea and it turns bitter. Too long or too hot equals bitterness. I'm not a fan of bitter, especially when it comes to lighter teas. However when you hit the sweet spot with this tea, it's a cup of flowers. Your mouth feels like a bunch of jasmine blossoms just exploded in my mouth. Because this tea tends to be fiddly, I probably won't get any more.

★★★★★

A decent substitute for those of us who cannot regularly afford Jasmine Phoenix Pearls. Great, up front jasmine flavor lending a kind of perfumey grape taste. The tea itself is fairly delicate mild, but pairs well with the strong floral notes. Good for at least two steeps, at two and four minutes.

I blend this tea with the green rooibos bonita in equal parts. I love the combination of flavors. This is my go-to morning tea.

★★★★★

The wonderful fragrance of jasmine flowers and a medium-strong green tea, loved it!

★★★★☆

Probably my favourite green tea I've ever had. So good!

★★★★★

This tea has a great smooth taste that I enjoy by itself.

★★☆☆☆

This tea was too finicky and easy to overcook. The bitterness really killed any floral taste for me.

★★★★★

Everything you're looking for in your Jasmine tea. If you really love the pearls so much more than this tea, your flavor palette is much more delicate than mine. The main difference between this and the Jasmine pearls are that the pearls can be re-steeped for a stronger flavor than the re-steeping of Jasmine yin hao.

I prefer a bit more flavour...a bit bland but for health reasons, I will enjoy!

Can't go wrong with jasmine! Amazing aroma and light, soothing tea. Beautiful visual watching it steep as well.

Admittedly, I wasn't too excited for this tea when I received it as a free sample, but I have been happily surprised! The jasmine gives a lovely floral scent and flavor that isn't too strong, but is still obviously there. Would love to order this again in the future.

★★★★☆

Extremely strong jasmine taste. That is what I want in a Jasmine tea. Can be oversteeped to become bitter, but isn't that typical of a Jasmine tea?

★★★★★

We love Jasmine in general but this is fresh and a price that we like. We are almost out.

I thought this tea was okay. My little brother liked it a lot though, while I found the flavor a little overwhelming.

★★★★☆

Not as good as the jasmine phoenix pearls but a good cheaper alternative. The jasmine flavor isn't as pronounced the phoenix pearls.

Best Jasmine green tea so far. It has the perfect Jasmine taste and smell. This is just amazing, I'm so addicted! I have a cup every morning, it's the perfect way to start my day.

★★★★★

Excellent flavor. The aroma is delicate and exquisite.

★★★★★

This is by far the best jasmine tea I've tried yet. It has such a balanced, refreshing floral flavor that really makes one appreciate the care that went into making it.

★★★★★

A superb jasmine tea for the price. Very floral, with a high quality green tea as the base.

★★★★★

This is a great jasmine tea that's a bit more on the robust side. Usually I describe good jasmine tea as 'delicate,' and while this one does have that light floral taste, it's backed by a solid green tea. Adds some nice complexity to a morning cup. One warning: do not oversteep this tea! I aim for 2.5 minutes. anything over 3 and it turns bitter.

I have tried many of the jasmine teas on adagio, and this one is up to par. It isn't the best but it isn't bad. The jasmine is not over-strong in this, and the tea is pretty delicate, so I chose to steep it longer than I usually do at lower temperatures.

Great floral aroma and taste. Love the subtle hint of grassiness.

★★★★☆

A very smooth, slightly sweet tasting tea. The jasmine gives the tea a very unique taste. Very tasty.

★★★★★

If there was an option above 'great' I would choose it. This is the perfect jasmine tea! It's been too long since I've had a good cup of jasmine tea. It's light and floral and balanced beautifully. I could drink this all day long. It is definitely staying in stock in my tea cupboard.

I forget just how good this tea is until I order it again. The tea is a little more expensive than the chun hao, but it's noticeably better. I definitely enjoy this one. it's my go to for after dinner tea most nights. I get multiple steeps and the flavor is smooooooooth :)

★★★★★

One of my favorite teas from Adagio. Jasmine has always been one of my choice flavors for tea, but this one is a game changer. It's perfect for every day drinking.

★★★★★

Light and refreshing flavor with a hint of sweetness.

★★★★★

I love to brew this tea in the morning because of its light aroma and taste. Makes for a perfect iced tea as well when you need to keep hydrated in the heat. It is a great (cheaper) alternative to the Jasmine Pheonix Pearl tea.

★★★★★

A very delicate taste and flowery aroma that heightens the senses and gives you a good morning wake up call.

It tasted like tepid cabbage water. Don't think it's a terrible tea, might not just be for my palate. If you want to try this, get a sample first.

After having tried jasmine varieties of several colors, I'm just not a big fan. It's alright, and if you're a fan of jasmines you'll probably enjoy it. I personally will refrain from now on.
