Jasmine Yin Hao Customer Reviews

A deeply floral Yin Hao ('Silver Tip') grade jasmine from Fujian, China. Very layered fragrance, soft yet full-bodied with a sweet, slight dryness in the finish. Infused with jasmine many times over to create a truly unforgettable cup.

Really good cup of tea, nice floral jasmine flavor.

★★★★★

I would get this tea again! I enjoyed the flavor and think the tea is good quality.

★★★★★

Delicious light flavor. Great with AND without sweetening (I use a teaspoon of honey per ~1.5 cup)

★★★★★

Jasmine is one of my favorite blends, and this tea doesn't disappoint.

★★★★☆

Excellent jasmine tea. Very light and delicate.

★★★★★

I LOVE jasmine teas! This tea has such an intense (but no quite punch in the face) jasmine flavor that is so perfect. It's definitely an everyday tea that tastes such a treat! Can't recommend enough!

★★★★★

My favorite green tea that I've had so far. I go half and half with Chun Hao and Yin Hao to stretch the limited amount you can get with this tea.

Solid jasmine green tea. A little heavy on the jasmine though.

A very nice Jasmine tea. I alternate it with the Jasmine chun hao

I don't like jasmine tea, but my 5 year old daughter loves this. She's always so happy to drink a (very small) cup.

★★★★★

Smells AMAZING. Such delicate and heavenly flavors. A staple of Uncle Iroh's tea collection.

One of my favorite teas on this site! If you watch Avatar the Last Air Bender, you will know why Uncle Airo loves this tea so much.

★★★★★

This is a really nice Jasmine tea. If you like green tea and jasmine this is a good tea for you. I brew it based on the recommended steep time.

★★★★★

My favorite green! Love to blend it and Sencha Premier together. It’s a big part of my morning.

★★★★★

Floral! floral! floral! - this tea is a dream for those who love floral teas - I make this one in my gaiwan that I got from the ETSY shop: Best Ceramics

This is a decent every day jasmine tea. The tea was too strong the day after it was made, so must be made fresh every day.

★★★★☆

This is a classic Jasmine tea with strong jasmine flavor. What's not to like?

★★★★★

the smell of the tea is amazing and the taste is even better I fell in love with this tea and will be having a cup everyday when I get back from work

Wonderful, smooth flavor of jasmine! One of my favorites!

★★☆☆☆

I am truly wondering if I received the same Jasmine Yin Hao tea that others have reviewed here? Because all the other reviews for this tea here bear no relationship whatsoever to the tea that I received and brewed.

While there is nothing literally bad about this tea, the problem is that there is NO jasmine essence to its aroma or flavor that I can detect! None. All I end up brewing here is a fairly generic green tea, with no floral characteristics at all. I was hoping and expecting to have a very pronounced jasmine tea with this Yin Hao (which I have had from other sources in the past, and enjoyed immensely), but as a jasmine tea, this one falls extremely far from the mark. No, it fails completely. I am SO disappointed!

One of the first I added to my collection, and with all the teas I've tried since it remains a favourite.

★★★★★

I love this tea. It steeps and re-steeps well and has such a soft, floral flavor. For me, the jasmine fragrance is stronger than the flavor, but it s a beautiful tea for easy sipping. If I ve had a stressful day, this one s my go-to. The green tea flavor is mild but well-rounded. This tea has a great mouthfeel and is just a pleasure to make and drink.

★★★★★

I love a good jasmine tea and this delivered in a beautiful, soft, subtle way... like I am torn between the Jasmine pearls and Jasmine Yin Hao going forward... like I can not recommend both enough if you like Jasmine tea.

★★★★☆

It's not the pears, but it's pretty good if you like jasmine.

This is a great Jazmine blend, my daughter loves it.

★★★★★

LOVE this tea. Just the right amount of aroma and perfect for a mid day cup.

★★★★★

Great jasmine tea, very soft an floral. Be careful not to brew too hot or you will get a more bitter flavor.

This tea has a very smooth jasmine aroma upon opening the bag. The tea is not overly fragrant and does not taste too strong like other jasmine teas. Brewing green tea at a slightly cooler temperature shy of boiling might be the key to making a nice cup of Jasmine Yin Hao. The tea has the potential to become bitter if steeped for longer, but overall a wonderful tea if brewed correctly!

★★★★★

DELICIOUS! This tea is heavenly. I love the delicate flavor of the jasmine, its floral but not overpowering.

★★★★☆

Wonderfully balanced jasmine tea and not overwhelmingly floral. Following the temperature recommendation is really important as the flavor of this one does change if the temperature is too high. Silver needle is my favorite but this is an excellent, more affordable alternative!

The jasmine is very strong in this, but for me, that's the selling point. This is a very mellow green; the jasmine balances the caffeine in the green really nicely. Drinking it is almost like aromatherapy, though I wouldn't call the scent perfume-y.

★★★★★

I love jasmine tea and I tried this tea by itself and in a blend for my kombucha. It's good for both.

Jasmine tea is a staple in my collection of loose leaf teas. The floral scents that express themselves as you take a sip leaves a great aftertaste and aroma. My advice is to brew this tea for 1 minute rather than the recommended 2-3 minutes. This is to minimize the potential of introducing bitter flavors due to over-steeping the tea. Green tea are great for multiple brews as well. When brewing for a consecutive time, add a few seconds longer to the brew time of 1 minute (e.g 1 minute and 20 seconds), to adjust for the flavors that were extracted from the first brew. Overall, I would recommend Jasmine tea to all tea drinkers, whether you are new to the world of tea, or an experienced tea drinker who would like a tea that isn't as bold as black teas and herbals.

Great flavor, very floral without being perfume-y.

I've been a jasmine tea drinker for many years and I've purchased from a wide range of tea shops/companies and have found the best Jasmine to be White Jasmine however since I make at least a gallon a day the cost quickly becomes prohibitive for me. So, coming down the quality scale a notch or two you come to yin hao. I thought I had found an acceptable second choice with my first purchase from Adagio. However, it appears that consistence is an issue. The first pound I purchase was very good and a nice jasmine flavor and aroma. Unfortunately my second purchase was a big let down. This is a good green tea but very little jasmine flavor.

Update:

In all fairness I have to update my previous review. As I said, I drink a lot of tea. My last purchase seemed to me to be lacking in jasmine flavor from what I had first experienced with my original purchase. I've come to a conclusion as to why that was. I believe it wasn't a lack of flavor but rather olfactory adaptation or olfactory fatigue. After my last batch of Yin Hao Jasmine ran out I switched teas for a month and when going back to the jasmine Yin Hao I found it just as great as the first time I had it. I'm now rotating my daily/weekly brews and find that works to alleviate taste fatigue.

★★★★☆

I'm slowly coming into jasmine tea. This one has a nice balanced flavor that is not overwhelmingly flowery. A perfect tea for someone looking for a green tea with a calming flavor.

I can't say enough about this green tea. It is my go-to. Both healthy and tasty.

★★★★★

My new favorite jasmine tea. It doesn't have the chalky bitter dryness of some other, stronger jasmine teas I've tried. (Yields two good cups per brew.) And FYI, I think this tea has a more robust flavor than the Jasmine Phoenix Pearls

★★★★★

This is my go to morning brew and now my 15 year old son is even asking for a cup each morning.

★★★★★

Soft, floral , and relaxing. One of my favorite teas to clear my mind. Also blends amazing with green rooibos bonita!

Great flavor with a very strong jasmine. I always keep this in stock. Perfect for those that love a strong floral tea. If you don’t like floral flavors, avoid this tea. If you want to try floral flavored I would start with a lighter flavor - this tea is made with floral flavored tea drinkers in mind.

Very floral taste, and smell. You can't go wrong with this Jasmine

★★★★☆

A lovely perfume of jasmine to a nice light cup of green tea, very soft on the tongue. Not as flavorful as the jasmine phoenix pearls, but still a delightful cup of tea.

★★★★★

My 10-year-old daughter's favorite tea - and she's a picky one!

★★★★★

I brewed it gong fu style, and at first it's a little grassy but as you keep brewing it mellowes out into a sweet, tad bitter and light brew.

★★★★★

strong jasmine smell that isn't over whelming. and the tea used doesnt have a bitter taste, so you can steep longer if you like the strong taste

Wonderfully balanced between being floral but not overpoweringly so, this is definitely a go-to cup of tea to indulge in when you want to relax. I find adding a bit of honey to it heightens the naturally sweet flavor, but regardless, it's light, refreshing, and worth a try if you enjoy the taste of jasmine.
