Fun to brew these giant balls of tea with a great flavor for a green tea pick me up! Easy to pop a ball into hot water.

★★★★★

It has a good flavor, not bitter, strong but not too strong.

Everyone in our house loves this tea. It is an absolute treat to sit down with a cuppa this in the afternoon, before starting dinner

★★★★★

I accidentally brewed a super strong cup, 1 pearl to a cup. That had quite a kick! It was mellow and delicious regardless. The leaves were obviously good for another cup, but the second pearl I brewed (with 2 cups water this time) was also good for two steeps.

My first cup of this was undrinkable. I hadn’t seen Angel V’s review and I, too, thought that one pearl made one cup of tea. After reading Angel’s review, I tried again. It turns out that one pearl makes a lovely 3-4 cup pot of tea. Delicious.

These pearls are an easy way to make a cup of a nice green tea. Use one pearl (they are big) for a large cup or small pot of tea. The flavor isn't too vegetal - it's a rather mild green tea, with a bit of a honey finish to it. I really liked these!

It's not sweet nor bitter. I actually enjoyed drinking this one on daily basis. I would reorder this after I finish trying out the other teas first.

I love the portion control , and not having to measure. Tastes great, I'd recommend this tea to anyone who like green teas

★★★★★

These pearls are huge. Picture doesn't do justice. It is fun to watch them unfurl. Tea is really good too. Nice and vegetal green.

I'm not a huge fan of green tea. This one was so much better than I've had before. Very smooth without any of the grassy taste that I associated with green tea. They also can steep twice fairly well. Highly recommend

★★★☆☆

Not my favorite, has very smokey notes. Not the sweetest either, bitter almost

I really like this tea! I love watching the leaves unfurl andI enjoyed taking this camping so that it didn't have to be measured. Overall a great travel tea and gorgeous to watch the leaves!

★★★★★

This is a lovely tea, there is enough L-theanine in it to start the morning calm, focused, and in a good mood.

Honestly, I love how pretty these are in a glass teapot or large jar to begin with. They also taste great and are delicious with multiple steepings.

These are very nice! They have a very strong green tea flavor and scent. I was surprised with how much they expanded once used.

★★★★★

These are my favorite. Love the easy way to just drop in

This tea is hands down my favorite green tea. Amazing flavor, plus when it's balled up it's easier to measure.

I wanted to like these but I was unable to get a cup that was not profoundly bitter. I tried lowering the temp to 160 and was still not impressed. It is very fun to watch the balls open but the taste was not for me. Will not reorder.

This tea is so much fun to put in a cup and watch it expand. One pearl at a time, or several in a small pot, especially if it is a glass pot!

A bit more on the bitter side than I expected but the tea is delicious as long as one does not overbrew it.

★★★★★

This tea is one of my favorite's. I drink it unsweetened. The pearls are so convenient and can be brewed multiple times. Just a few pearls can last me all day.

This my favourite go to hot tea. So fragrant and tasty. Also nice iced in hot weather.

This is wonderful tea. I just didn’t realize that the pearls are huge, more for a tea pot. So I had to improvise.

★★★★★

This tea was a lot more bitter than I expected, but once I got past the first two steeps, it was where I wanted it to be

For some reason, some green teas taste 'fishy' to me, however, these Green Dragon Pearls are one of my new favorites!

★★★★★

Lovely and light green tea. This tea has a wonderful flavor profile and is very pretty to look at as it blooms.

I was not expecting to like this tea as much as I have! As a busy mom on the go, this tea fits right in my schedule! It’s nice to be able to fill my cup right back up over and over without having to change out the leaves! A definite must have for a busy day!

Green Dragon Pearls will delight you as they slowly and gracefully unfurl. The result is a brew that is sweet, toasty, and buttery, with smooth and round taste. This is an elegant tea, just like the pealrs before opening.

Merry and Pippin say it best,"You can drink your fancy ales, you can drink 'em by the flaggon, but the only brew for the brave true comes from The Green Dragon!"
Fantastic green tea. The pearls will unfurl so leave enough space for them to expand, a wire basket strainer works great, each pearl is about the diameter of a nickel. I find this is just about right for my 20oz tea pot.
Buyer be aware that this is only green tea, there is also a fantastic jasmine pearl with pea sized pearls, this is not that.

Absolutely love green tea, that is my go to morning wake me up drink. Love to watch the Pearls unravel into a delicious tea and sweeten it off with some organic raw honey. Delicious

Nice aroma and flavor, but the mouthfeel is what brings me back. Steeps 3 or more times easily.

This is nice tasting tea. It’s fun to watch the balls untangle. Good for 2-3 steeps or more

A golden cup of tea with more grass than nut. I am getting a bitter taste that I can't seem to shake after several attempts to modify time of steep and temperature. Pretty disappointed that the promised buttery notes mentioned in several reviews aren't there. I am really looking for a buttery green to celebrate the coming of cooler weather.

Slightly smaller than the pu erh pearls, I found one of these pearls to be a good size for my 16oz travel thermos. It has a nice, somewhat...generic(?) Chinese green flavor. It reminds me of a simple dragonwell or something similar, though it also seems to have a pleasantly pseudo-jasmine aroma.

Love love love. It has that perfect nutty/bitter flavor that I crave in green teas but can only usually find in the expensive ones. This is decently priced and deliciously nutty.

i love this one, i was figuring it would anyway but to taste it much better

★★★★★

I weighed these and they averaged 5.4g per pearl with one being 6g! I cut mine in half with a really sharp knife so I don't waste anything. It's perfect for 1 cup 8-12oz western style. Slightly floral with pear notes. Very good green tea.

I brewed my Green Dragon Pearls hot with burdock and green tea honey. Unfortunately, I do not think it is good for 1 cup of tea because it was extremely dark and bitter. It was also strangely dry. I tried my best to not oversteep or burn it, so I have to try again just to be sure, but at this point in time I have to say I did not like this tea and would not recommend it.

My favorite!!! I hope they never get sold out. I do steep a little longer than theee minutes

My first trial was awful and undrinkable. I figured the ratio of tea to water was to blame and planned to retry. Adagio's write up makes it sound as though 1 pearl in 16 oz. water would be dandy: 'enough for two cups or a small teapot.' They MUST mean two 12-oz. cups. To decide what proportions I'd use, I crumbled up a pearl and found it yields just over THREE teaspoons of loose tea. That means about 25-26 ounces of water per pearl if prepared in typical Western fashion.

I used a single teaspoon of the pearl crumbles for an 8-ounce cup. A two minute steep yielded a delightful tea. All's well that ends well!

(I'll likely have a gong fu session with the pearl remainder another time and in future won't need to 'waste' any pearls by crumbling them up! That's kind of like 'casting your pearls before swine' IMO.) ;)

This is a wonderful tasting tea, but don't be afraid to steep it for a long time. After 3 minutes it's barely opened up. I left it in for 7 minutes and it was perfect. The one thing I don't like is that the pearls are really big (more than 6 grams). It's a bit much when brewing for one person, but you will easily get multiple steeps.

Super delicious and mellow. Very smooth. It’s fun to watch the balls uncurl too

This is a lovely green tea that is best made in a small teapot or a double-sized teacup, rather than thinking that it will last more steeps in a regular-sized teacup. Ebba Lauer was also right, better to steep it longer the first time rather than shorter; all you will get with the latter is a weak first cup. The longer first steep gives the pearl enough time to unfold properly to steep.

I first ordered a sample, and am now eagerly awaiting when it comes back into stock to buy some more to keep on hand.

The first time I tried to order this tea, it happened to be sold out. But now that I’ve gotten a chance to try this tea, I can assure you, it was well worth the wait. Each ball opens up to reveal a delicious, almost earthy flavor that lasts for ages. These balls last multiple steeps as well, acting as the perfect tea to sip throughout the day.

I love these! I will say - I definitely underestimated the size of these pearls when I ordered them! They are very large, about 1.5'! I love the lightly floral jasmine flavor of these pearls.

The wonderful mellowness of green pearl tea. Buttery and warmly nutty in taste. Always refreshing and a sheer delight as it unfurls. Resteepable again and again. Go for the taste and the health of it!
