I had trouble brewing this, always kept getting a hint of bitterness. Eventually I got it right and this tea tastes very good. I will always want to have some dragonwell on hand despite the difficulty brewing it.
This tea quickly surpassed the Irish Breakfast as my favorite... I make it a little strong, due to its great flavor and aroma.

One of the best Chinese green teas I've had. The flavour is very similiar to the silver needle tea, but worth buying if one would like to try green teas for the first time.

The Dragonwell has a rich grassy taste with a dry hint underlaying it. Kind of reminds me of meadows in the heat of July. However, it was a bit too rich for my blood. But if you like strongly flavored teas, I'd recommend it!

I have come to the conclusion that I am not a fan of dragonwell style tea, however this particular dragonwell is very well done.
A very pleasent tea, at all phases, warm and cold. I steep mine all day long in a nalgene bottle, so I experienced it in all temperatures and steepages. When it has been steeping for a long time, it develops a slightly licorice sweet sort of aftertaste which was surprisingly pleasent.
I love this tea. I find that if I add a little more tea than usual per cup, the flavor really stands out. I prefer to drink it straight with no sweetner. I like my greens pure.
I like this but it's not at the top of the list. I might order again.
A good example of everyday Long Jing Cha -- perhaps a bit more astringent than the very best grades. Perhaps the new season's tea will be better.
Im a novice tea drinker, I have only been drinking for a couple months now as far as gourmet goes. I was expecting a lot more from this considering the price. I understand the story of the labor to make the tea, but to me the taste dosent justify the cost, its just okay.
Dragonwell is a pretty good run-of-the-mill green tea. I am definitely not a tea expert, but it seems to be fairly fragile as too little brew-time and it's too weak. Too much and it's somewhat bitter.

I am a 'tea-ophyte' but I know that I like green teas. I just got my first shipment from Adagio and tried this tea this afternoon. I like it a lot, even better than the Kuchika green that I thought was my favorite. Mellow, a tad grassy, and very smooth. I used 7g of tea for a 3-cup pot at 180 degrees - no bitterness or tannin, just delicious tea! Thank you Agagio.
This is a very nice green tea I love it with a little creamer and sugar. It is a nice light green tea.
Oh dear... Let me first issue a disclaimer that I don't enjoy 'classic' veggie-type green teas. Okay - that said - I could hardly get past the scent of this one. It smells of urine and cooked peas, to my nose, and it didn't taste much better. This green is just not for me.
This tea is very nice and slightly nutty, though it wasn't really as flavorful as I had expected.
I didn't like this tea at all, Though I may have made it too strong or over steeped it, it tasted like green pea baby food to me. I'll have to try another cup with less steeping time.

A bit of research indicated that dragonwell is famous for its re-brew capability - a desired tradeoff for its higher price! In my experience, I find that 1/2 teaspoon at 3mins at 180 degrees yields three quality 6 oz cups.
It has an amazing nutty tast to it. I love this tea.
I'm afraid I don't taste much from this tea, I don't think my palate is suited to it. This one was particularly grassy for my tastes.

I'm not much of a green tea drinker, so I didn't think much of this tea. My mom, however, tried it and thought it was great. I guess it depends how well versed you are in 'green.'
Quite likely the best of the greens. It has a sweet, light, vegetal taste that is the epitome of a great green.

was dissapointed with this green. Could not get the sweet aroma. It smelt like a barn yard, and I live on a farm. Taste like one to.
Having recently purchased (and being very impressed with) the green tea sampler, I decided to try out some of the other green teas that were available from Adagio. It only took one cup of Dragonwell to know that it was the best green tea I have ever tasted. This is one I will certainly be ordering more of!

Green tea with a gentle, delicate flavour. Method of drying preserves integrity of tea VERY WELL. Must have with quality water otherwise hard water taste will overpower subtle flavors.

I wanted to like this tea, but it has many of the flavor characteristics which prevent me from liking many greens; ie., a 'boiled in muddy weeds' flavor. This must be what people are referring to when they talk about the 'vegetable' taste of green tea. I will drink up what I have left, but won't order any more.
This tea has a wonderful aroma and a very distinctive flavor. This is my favorite kind of green tea.
I don't really like this tea because I think it has a very strange flavor but my fiance loves it. He drinks it almost daily. Don't steep it for too long; it gets bitter very fast.

This is a tremendous middle of the road green tea. A little sweeter than most, so that its grassiness is undercut, it's one of those 'drink any time' kind of affairs in the best way.
