Jasmine Phoenix Pearls Customer Reviews

Perfumy hand-rolled tea from Fuding, in Fujian, China. Each pearl is just one leaf and a bud. When added to hot water, the pearls majestically unfurl, releasing a delicate scent and flavor. Sweet and almost sugary.

★★★★☆

This is a nice jasmine pearl tea. I would have liked for it to be a bit stronger, but it just takes extra pearls to make it the strength that I prefer. Overall a good tea.

★★★★★

A little more expensive but the floral notes make it worth it

★★★★★

I guess it's just not my cup of tea... good enough.

★★★★★

This is my favorite tea I've sampled from Adagio. Wonderful fragrance and taste. I will be ordering a big bag of this one.

★★★★★

This, along with almond or hemp milk, and black lava salt = perfection.

★★★★★

My favorite. I drink 3-4 cups of Jasmine Phoenix Pearls a day. A bit pricey but I still order it by the pound.

★★★★☆

These pearls make a beautiful jasmine tea. I wouldn't say they're my favorite jasmine, but they're quite enjoyable.

★★★★★

Now this is the tea of teas. I mix this with all my teas. The jasmine just has such awesome flavor!

★★★★★

I've been drinking this tea for a few years at this point, particularly when I feel like buying something a little nicer than my usual. It is a solid jasmine tea with plenty of floral notes and smooth, sweet flavor. I love how you can steep it a few times, as the leaves unfold.

★★★★★

Excellent tea. I have been getting 3-4 brews per batch of leaves. The tea is very sweet and mild. I usually put a little more than the recommended heaping teaspoon per cup.

★★★★★

I love a good floral tea and this one is my favorite for beating the long winter blues. Tastes similar enough, if not exactly like, the tea at the some pho joints.

★★★★★

The pearls are George out as they unfold, and the jasmine Roma and flavor are wonderful!

★★★★★

more amber in color, and fuller bodied than most greens. great taste! rich nose! a real go-to tea.

★★★★★

One of my favorites. Slightly floral. The jasmine phoenix pearls sold on adagio are by far some of the best I've ever had.

★★★★★

Love this tea, wish I had gotten more! Very high quality tasting and proper steep time noted.

★★★★★

Love love love this tea. One of the best jasmines I've ever had. Definitely my second favorite tea from here (my first being the fujian ti kuan yin oolong).

★★★★★

I love the pearls. wonderful way to start my day!

★★★★☆

It's one of my favourite types of jasmine green tea. It doesn't leave a bitter taste like some.

★★★★★

I'm absolutely addicted to this tea. I have dozens of other teas to drink but I keep reordering more of this because it's SO GOOD! It's light, slightly floral, and delicious. Can't recommend enough!

★★★★★

Strong taste but very flavorful fragrance and scent. Great taste!

★★★★★

A great example of a jasmine green tea. One of my favorite flavors, the leaves are generally good for at least two steeps.

★★★★★

Great tea for the money! Buying the 16oz bag for sure next time.

This is my afternoon tea with a snack. It can become bitter if steeped too long so I use a little less per serving

★★★☆☆

I read the reviews and know a lot of people really love this tea. Jasmine is my favorite tea, so I had high hopes for the Jasmine Phoenix Pearls. On opening the tea, it has a beautiful floral scent. However, brewing as directed, and then even brewing stronger than directed, I can barely taste either the jasmine flowers or the tea itself.

Something about this tea is just fantastic. I'm not the biggest fan of green tea but this one has me hooked.

★★★★★

This has always been my number one favorite. The only downside is if you leave it sitting any longer than four minutes, it can get a very gross over brew flavor.

★★★★★

Exactly what you would expect for a high quality Jasmine tea. Very pleasant aroma and flavor.

★★★★★

tastes so good! I drink it for afternoon tea and it's delicious

★★★★★

This is, without a doubt, my favorite tea. I brew it according to instructions and receive a brew that smells and tastes delicious. To my uninformed palate, it seems delicate and flowery. I'm not looking for a jolt in the morning: I want to wake up and smell the flowers.

This tea is smooth and silky to the taste. I added a teaspoon of pearls to a tea infuser cup (gifted from a friend from China) and steeped it for 3 minutes for the first cup. I got three cups out of the amount used letting each cup steep just a tad longer. All 3 were delicious. This is a tea that is great all by itself, great for a mid afternoon treat. I will definitely purchase more once it is all consumed.

Jasmine Phoenix Pearl is an amazing tea that has a wonderful floral smell that reminded me of Lilacs (or Jasmine of course) after opening it for the first time. The taste is also floral but with a familiar green/oolong palate. Definitely an enjoyable cup of flavorful tea!

★★★☆☆

not as flavorful as the green tea but smooth to drink. And gives a little energy as well.

★★★★★

Very nice I only need a few pearls too make a good cup

★★★★★

I think I found a jasmine flower among the pearls. They're simply beautiful. Nothing is more relaxing than watching these pearls bloom and unfold.

As for the taste. I noticed I had to chill it in order to notice the more subtle tastes. I tried to make a second batch but it came out incredibly bitter as I had oversteeped it.

★★★★★

Really enjoy this tea and so does everyone I have let try it.

★★★★★

Fantastic jasmine tea. One of my favorites from Adagio. This is easily some of the top I've had.

I also would add it was almost all tea, no sticks or other junk!

This tea has a beautiful fragrance of jasmine. I always end up adding more honey to jasmine teas because, to me, there is a slight acidic taste that tickles my ears in the same way that lemon does! I am trying to try and try jasmine teas because they are so popular and I hope to have the same appreciation. I can say, however, that this is the nicest jasmine tea I have tried so far. The 'pearls' are precious and it's amazing how large the tea leaves unfurl into. Pearl-teas feel so special!

The aroma is is the part I love the most. A little aromatherapy in a cup!

My favorite jasmine. A nice mellow tea base with a subtle, yet not weak, jasmine infusion. I find that the higher the grade of jasmine tea, the less 'perfume in a cup' it becomes as the tea and the jasmine blend better together. This is the tea all of the other jasmine teas I have had are trying to be.

★★★★★

Wonderful! I bought these for my mother, who is a huge fan of jasmine green, and she found them delightful. I broke from my usual habit of using loose-tea bags because I wanted to see how the little pearls react in water. To our surprise and delight, they slowly unfurled and eventually filled the cup, almost like a blooming tea! Fun! Due to the large size of the unfurled leaves, it was easy to pour the brewed tea into another cup, with the leaves left behind. We placed the leaves into leftover hot water, hoping to get another steeping out of them. Even if they don't do much in the second batch of water, though, we are very pleased with this tea. It smells like Heaven and the jasmine flavor is pronounced but not to the exclusion of the flavor of the green tea underneath. I didn't drink a lot of it myself so cannot comment much further, alas, but my mother loves it and I'd heartily recommend these to anyone who likes jasmine green tea. (And anyone who likes blooming tea - seriously, watching the little pearls unfurl was surprisingly entertaining!)

★★★★★

A truly extraordinary tea, from the luscious aroma to the delicate, complex flavor. One of our all-time favorite teas.

★★★★★

I let mine strap 3 min for a lighter taste. Elegant tea full of flavor!

★★★★★

Short steep time, cool water. Good for about 3 or so steeps, then the jasmine starts to fade

Although this tea came in second place when I tried the jasmine tea sampler, it is an excellent tea. It has a delicate, flowery taste and scent.

★★★★☆

The flavor of this tea is wonderful, but the scent was overpowering for me. I don't generally care for the smell of jasmine and while the flavor was delicious, the smell killed it for me. I do however like to toss one ball into my citron green and that puts it over the top for me and I love it.

★★★★★

This is one of my favorite teas! Not only is it beautiful in its glass container, it smells wonderfully of jasmine, has just the right amount of caffeine, and is delicate yet full bodied.

★★★★★

Very nice. One of my favorites. This tea has a gentle fragrance and taste, it's delicious but not overpowering. Also got it for my mother who loved it and asked for more. A hit.

★★★★★

These are little magical pearls of goodness!! I'm enjoying mixing these with other teas!
