I like this one a lot more than I anticipated. The description calls it 'smokey', so I was a little apprehensive that it would be like a Russian caravan, or lapsong souchong. When I opened the bag, the smell was a cloying mix of fruit and some sort of baked good. I was even more nervous. Wow, was I proved wrong. It brews up rich and not at all grassy, with the smell of the creme brûlée really shining through. The smoke is much more pronounced in the brew than in the bag, and it's lovely. This definitely is a tea to drink while sitting on the porch, watching the autumn mist.
this tea is heaven. this tea is p e r f e c t i o n. new favorite tea. 100. it's smoky, it's sweet, it's just what you need to get ready for the seasonal change. or anything, i think? i might have to buy another bag.

This is one of the most flavorful green teas I have tried from adagio. The flavor is complex with a smokey, caramel, vanilla, apple initially and a creme brulee finish.
Was not one of my favorites. My Girlfriend did enjoy it though.
This tea is great, it smells like creme brulee and has a wonderful flavor. Definitely my favorite all-time green tea.

My favorite Adagio tea of all time. I caught this tea a couple years ago at the Chicago store, when it was a special edition. So happy it's a regular offering now.
If you like maple syrup pancakes...this is the tea for you. Maybe not for everyone but I like it.
A delishious buttery, mildly earthy taste. It really does taste like Creme Brulee, though it doesn't overpower anything either. It's quite sweet but subdued nonetheless. Very much like an autumn morning mist! The tea turns a wonderful pale green when you add a touch of milk to it, and is by and far my new favorite!
I adore the taste of this tea, but the fake creme-brulee smell is far too powerful and washes out the delicate smokiness of the gunpowder. It's better iced than hot.

I really enjoy this green tea. The dry leaf smells buttery and sweet (my boyfriend asked me 'What smells like butter?') but the brewed tea is lightly spicy and smoky with a hint of sweetness. The green tea itself is not astringent, but it might be if it is over brewed. Upon the second brewing, cream and spice flavors feature more prominently and the smokiness fades away.
I loved this tea. It is unique and truly tastes like fall. Would re-order and recommend.

Probably my favorite green tea made by Adagio. Starts out with a smokey gunpowder flavor and finishes with a sweet-mellow creamy taste that is sort of like pancake syrup. Difficult to describe-delish to drink!!
A great tea for new tea drinkers. The creme brulee sweetness and flavors distract them from looking for the grassy taste that is their main complaint with green teas. For green tea lovers, the gunpowder smokiness is barely noticeable -- so maybe a minus in that respect if you love gunpowder.
I did enjoy this tea. The smell of the dry leaf is very pleasant, it smells like creme brûlée! The smell of the steeped tea is old cigarette smoke, in my opinion. It was really offputting and I wish they had used a different kind of green tea. I just feel like the gunpowder green tea was unnecessary. They could get their point across with regular green. But I am happy to say that the tea did not taste smokey at all! It tasted like creme brûlée with the faintest hint of apple and green tea. I was glad that the creme brûlée flavor was overpowering, opposed to how some people apparently felt. I just hold my breath when I taste a sip because I'm really not a fan of the smell of gunpowder green tea. I will happily finish my 3oz for sure, but I dont know if ill order it again unless they do a re-blend without the gunpowder.
This is definitely one of my favorite green teas! It has a fantastic, full flavor that makes it easy to drink two or three cups a day. It's the one I make most often to take with me to classes and it keeps me focused throughout the day.

This strong tea is good for me when brewed light. The combination is deep and dark, reminds one of a forrest.
The creme brulee flavour is the most pronounced, but it's tempered somewhat with the smoky gunpowder and touch of cinnamon. The apple, rose, and marigold flavours meld into the background a bit, with everything coming together in a beautiful green tea.
Overall I like this tea! The smell of creme brulee is a little overwhelming in the dry tea, but the flavors meld nicely once brewed. I initially gave this a 4/5 but it's grown on me and now I'd say it's a 5/5.
This tea reminds me of being around a campfire with my family and friends. It will give you the warm fuzzies when brewed correctly. Like any green tea, don't over steep or the flavors turn bitter.

OMG, It smelled like Candy Corn when I opened the bag! And upon tasting it, it also tasted like Candy Corn, but not so corn syrupy, it is delicious!!! I also detected a hint of Maple, and a slight starbucks vanilla coffee flavor, very yummy... I'm going to be sad when I empty the bag esp when it's not autumn and I have to wait to restock this flavor.
I like this tea, but I don't love it. It's very fruity, but distinctive from the other available green teas. I think I still prefer plain matcha or a needle tea when I have a cup of green, but this makes for a nice change now and then.
This is definitely a favorite. Absolutely loved the gunpowder with the spices and the smooth finish of the cream. This blend is fantastic hot or cold.

I was a tiny bit concerned from the few critical reviews, and a little more when I first cracked open the bag and smelled the very strong creme brulee scent, but this is super delightful. The gunpowder green tea really is there as an important flavor. The first steeping is mostly dessert-sweet brulee, but the green tea actually stands up to the subsequent steepings, so the brulee flavor ends up in the background to the slightly savory and smoky gunpowder by the third brew. I'm into it.

Really the crime brûlée flavor is what you really taste in this and that could be good or bad.
I was really looking forward to the green tea in the description, however the creme brulee flavoring overwhelmed all the other components. This is a creme brulee tea with hints of other flavors. I won't order it again, and I'll be keeping an eye out for future teas to make sure I avoid any with creme brulee flavoring.
This tea was just a tad too sweet for my tastes, unfortunately. I got an intense whiff of caramel right out of the bag, giving me this sort of sticky, sugary feel. It doesn't brew quite so intensely sweet, but I found that no sweeteners were necessary.
I fell in love with this tea when I sampled it in store. Great drink to get into the fall mood and feel comfy while sipping.
