I really wanted to like this tea, but I don't. The smell was nice from the packet, but once brewed I got hardly any fruit flavor at all. It was a fine green tea, but nothing really special. It left me with a dry mouth. I didn't hate it, so it got a meh. Tasted as part of The CommuniTea.

★★★★☆

A nice light fruity tea. I think it would taste better and less bitter without the Marigold Flowers.

This was pleasant and smooth with a little bit of sugar (can't drink any green tea without sugar). It gave off a mild fruity taste with a strong aftertaste of apricots and was very tasty.

May 19, 2020 - This tea smells so juicy! I absolutely love this tea, delicious!
Update March 12, 2021 - This tea is wonderful iced! The apricot really pops. It's very refreshing.

Today's Communitea wasn't a stand out for me. The apricot flavor didn't really come through. It was still a nice mellow green, but didn't really come through for me as an apricot tea.

This was ok.l it tasted more like peach. I much prefer the apricot caramel torte for an apricot tea.

Bright apricots danced in the air when opening today's CommuniTEA packet. I was happy to see a steep time and temperature that worked with the VelociTEA button choices. So, I pressed the button for 'White Tea' to steep this at 180°F for 3 minutes.

The apricot scents and flavors persist throughout this tea's tasting. Sweet apricot brings a fruity flavor, followed by a decently strong green tea backbone. The tea's body is full and slightly bitter and astringent, yet balanced very well by the apricot flavor which persists to the end of each sip. I noticed some fannings made their way into the cup, so this could be why it's such a bold green.

Even without doing a pre-wash, this tea is really pleasant simply because the apricot flavor permeates the flavor for the entire lifetime of each sip. It's sweet, tangy, bold, and leaves you wanting more.

I did not enjoy this tea. Although I was hopeful from the aroma of the dry leaves, I could not detect any kind of peachy or apricot flavor to this tea. Instead, it tasted medicinal, like thin cough syrup. I tried adding a little honey to help coax out fruit flavors, but that only made the medicinal taste worse. Ultimately, I dumped out the rest of my cup.

Upon first sip, I exclaimed 'oh wow!' if that gives you any idea how enjoyable this tea is. I'm not always the biggest fan of flavored teas but this one is a bullseye! It's one of the best flavored greens I've ever had. Although I am a *huge* peach tea fan, I am much more satisfied with this green than I am with any other peach tea I've tried from the site. This is going into my cart as I type this!

This was a sample from my CommuniTEA box. Overall I enjoyed this tea. Nice solid green tea with apricot notes. I think the green tea was good quality and the apricot was well blended in the background. It smelled amazing in the packet. The only reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is because I think I prefer other fruits like peach with green tea better. That’s just my personal taste but if you like apricot more then you will like this tea. I didn’t try it iced but I’m sure it would be very good.

I'm not usually a fan of Apricots in general so I was a little apprehensive opening this packet thinking it was going to be my first honest BAD review.

I was pleasently surprised that it wasn't the case at all and it was very good! I steeped it at 175F for 2:30, as green teas are finicky and any longer than that they turn out bitter.

Overall, It's good!

I received this tea as part of the CommuniTEA box. As such, blends may be unbalanced in a small single portion, and may color my review.

This tea smells strongly of apricot out of the pouch, with some floral notes as well. The leaves seem to be fairly whole, with some fruit pieces, and it's a good amount of tea leaves for a single portion. Steeping it for 3 minutes at 180 degrees results in a yellow-green tea that smells of apricot as well. The taste is of a fairly usual green tea with apricot, naturally with some sweetness and tang as well. Adding sugar helps to brighten the fruit flavors, but it's not at all required.

A nice tea both warm as well as cool, it would likely make for a very nice summer iced tea. It's not my favorite tea, as there's a white peach tea that I'd prefer over this one, but it's still very nice. Only as it's cooled and I'm sipping at the very last dregs of the tea is there any level of astringency. Overall, very nice.

Based on the CommuniTEA packet: its a light green tea with a light fruity taste.

Light & fruity but I feel this one needs sweetener to bring out the true fruitiness. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA March box. 160 degrees 3 mins

I really enjoyed this tea that was part of the CommuniTea samples I received for the week of March 7th. I love green tea and the apricot pieces had me sold from the moment I open the packet. So sweet and delicious! The green tea could be a bit stronger for my taste but that was probably my fault because I only steeped it for 2 mins because I didn’t it to strong either. So if you like a bit more green tea flavor I would suggest the full 3 minutes or so even longer. I don’t use sugar but I would imagine with a spot of honey this would be even more delicious! Overall delicious tea and I would probably buy it it make iced tea too! Steeped @180 degrees for 2-4 min.

I loved the smell of this tea when I opened the package! The apricot was very present and pleasing. The taste was good but required an addition of a bit of Trivia for my liking.

Nice light green tea with a nice light fruit flavor, but there was a weird aftertaste that I couldn’t quite put my finger on that kept me from giving it a 4 star review.

This has a nice fruity green tea aroma. I definitely get a green tea taste with mild apricot flavors. It would be a nice green tea were it not for the bitter aftertaste. I steeped it at 175 F for 2 minutes.

This is a nice fruity floral green tea. It does have a little bitterness but it isn't too bad, I would probably just steep at 175 instead of 180 next time. The apricot flavor is sweet and light, and it has a very smooth almost creamy finish. The green tea is a little grassy in a good way and blends nicely with the apricot. It's just pretty light overall without much depth to it, but still an enjoyable cup. I had it hot, but think it would be even better iced.

Smell of apricot and fruit emits from the CommuniTea packet. It steeps into a light yellow color.. Ahh, the aroma and the flavor are distinctly apricot. Lovely flavoring for a green tea, as it is light and cheery. Needs no sweetener to be a sweet cup of tea. As it cools, the green tea’s astringency shows up at the finish, but so gently it does not take away from the flavor. This tea is good hot or cold! (2 mins @ 180ºF).

What I loved about today’s sample tea from CommuniTEA was that it had such a lovely apricot flavor and was so drinkable plain. It left me wanting more. The honey jar stayed in place this morning unopened.

3 grams of rolled green tea leaves with a sprinkling of marigold flowers and fruit bits spilled into my IngeniTEA. I used 12 oz. of 175F water to steep the tea for 3:30 minutes. About half the leaves had fallen to the bottom and the liquor was a pale green. I decided to pull the steep and taste the fragrant tea. The gentle apricot aroma of the dry mix translated well to the scent of the hot tea. And another resteep was possible using 8 oz. of water.

Sipped while warm, a very pleasant apricot flavor was delightful and tasted first. I appreciated the hush of the green tea base and detected no bitterness, grassiness, or strong vegetal notes coming through. There was a slight tangy taste to the finish of each sip and may have come from the natural apricot flavor. A cottony mouthfeel at the end of the cup let me know there was some astringency, although it wasn’t unpleasant. This will be a favorite flavored green tea for me, hot or iced. Move over other favorite, peach. Apricot is vying for your number one position.

This tea smelled warm and fruity to when I sniffed the CommuniTEA packet and I saw a good amount of flower petals and fruit pieces. However, the tea flavor was much milder, though still tasty. I was pleased with a second steep, too!

What can I say? This combination is not for me. I don't mind a lightly flavored green tea on its own, but once it was paired that with the marigold, which I think has a weird, spicy, bitter flavor, it gets a big NOPE from me!

We already tried a honeybush apricot tea, didn't we? This tea has no chance of measuring up to that! I would drink this, but I would buy the honeybush version. (3 mins @ 180 F, tried sweetened and unsweetened, hot and cool)

Enjoying with the CommuniTEA today: Lots of apricot scent wafting from dry ingredients. Once steeped for 3 mins at 185° F, more perfumey apricot essence is noticed. When I take a sip, I detect slightly salty/minerally, slightly earthy green tea notes followed by a strong lingering apricot finish with pleasing acidity on the tongue.

Light and juicy! I'm not sure I can tell the difference between the peach and apricot flavors, but this is a lovely gentle green with stone fruit accents. I bet it would be wonderful iced, too. (2m30s @ 165 F, no additions)

I am pleasantly surprised by this tea, as I usually find green tea just so-so, but I really enjoyed this one. The apricot and green tea complement each other really well. It's gently fruity with a noticeable but not overwhelming apricot flavor and no bitterness or strong grassy flavor from the green tea. It's a simple but tasty tea that is good at any temperature.

The dry tea was very fruity smelling, and made me excited to brew a cup. Brewed at 180 for 2 minutes, the resulting tea was a muted green with no bitterness, and an airy apricot taste. My CommuniTEA packet only had 3 lone apple pieces, so I feel that a serving with more of the fruit would have a stronger fruit flavor. It tastes like it would be delicious iced, but I only had enough to make 1 cup. Will be trying this out as the weather warms up in a cold brew, which should concentrate the fruitiness without getting the green tea too bitter.

There is a wonderfully sweet smell from the Communitea packet that brews into a smooth, mild tea. The apricot flavor is delicate and tells me this would be deliciously refreshing iced. I didn't have any bitterness or grassy taste in my cup. Definitely looking forward to a 2nd steep.

I wasn't impressed. Sencha isn't my favorite green. The Apricot flavoring saves it. But it still needed a bit of sweetener to draw out the apricot

Nice apricot flavor, but pronounced bitterness. I think I would like a different base tea with the same apricot flavor.

I'm not a green tea person, normally, because I find that they taste too earthy or grassy for me. This one is one of the handful of exceptions I've tried.

When I opened the CommuniTEA packet, I got kind of a soft floral aroma that I enjoyed. I brewed at 175 (my kettle doesn't have a 180 setting and I generally err 5 degrees lower rather than 5 degrees higher in those instances) for 2 and a half minutes. I noticed that the packet was filled entirely with the green leaves. I saw no accents of marigold and there was such a tiny, single sliver (literally sliver) of apple, that it seemed more like a mistake than an intentional addition to the tea.

That said, the flavor is pretty mild, but it's not grassy in the least. Also, I love that there are an effervescent texture and a crisp mouthfeel to it.

All in all, not something I'd buy, personally, but even as a green tea 'hater,' this was definitely enjoyable. If you like green tea, or really, white tea (as this reminds me much more of a white than a green), this might be right up your alley.

I think the taste was better than the smell. I usually don't like apricots and peaches, but this was great! I could find myself steeping as much as I can with the tea leaves today.

My first exposure to apricot green was through iced tea using the cold brew pouches. And it’s fantastic iced! Happy to have the opportunity to try it hot today. More of the green tea flavor comes through in the hot tea. It’s a nice combination of flavors, but I preferred how fruity it tasted when cold brewed. And the pouches are so nice for that.

This tea has a strong apricot smell and taste, but not strong enough to overpower the green tea. I also detected a slight floral taste/smell. I'm not sure if that is the marigold flowers or something else. I've had tea with marigold flowers before and I never felt like that they had a discernible flavor.

I brewed this tea at 180F for 2 minutes. I don't add sugar to green tea. I don't feel like the apricots added any sweetness, so if you prefer sweeter teas, you'll want to add sugar.

This was a wonderful cup of tea this morning! When opening the packet, the fruity bouquet of sweet apricot poured forth, and pieces of apple and apricot were visible, nestled in a bed of bright green wisps of tea. Brewed at 175° for 3 minutes, and the beautiful golden color poured forth. I sweetened with a touch of honey to further help that delicious fruit flavor, and the cup sang! Apricot and green tea are meant to be together! The green tea was light and pleasant, no grassy notes at all. The apricot flavor is sweet and tangy, nothing like the fake flavor of its peachy cousin. All in all a wonderful spring treat!

Pleasant apricot aromas were noted when opening my communiTEA packet this morning. All advertised ingredients appeared to be present.

When hot, apricot flavors were mild. Some mild bitterness was noted. I added a bit of sugar to allow apricot flavors to bloom and possibly lower bitter tastes.

When warm, the tea provided a buttery smooth mouthfeel. Apricot flavors were moderate and pleasant. However, there was still a mild bitter aftertaste noted.

At the end, I couldn’t determine if the bitterness was coming from the tea or the marigold threads or a combination of both. The apricot was definitely fruity and tasty. (2 mins @ 175ºF, ¼ tsp sugar)

Today’s communiTea was a delicate green tea with a pleasant aroma of apricots. and apples? As I sip, a mellow green tea taste appears, then almost feels like I’m biting into a fresh, sweet apricot. Hmm deliciously crisp, slightly sweet almost fruity green tea. I’m thinking iced as I’m sipping this tea hot. This is another reason why I enjoy communiTea, a blend I never would have tried on my own. Apricot green = a relaxing cuppa tea.
