First tea I've tried from here and can already say, Adagio's tea is delicious.
Bright Ceylon tea with pure vanilla. Soothing and cozy, like warm sugar cookies made with fresh vanilla beans.

First tea I've tried from here and can already say, Adagio's tea is delicious.
A sweet black tea. Decent on it's own, but better for blending.
A nice sweet vanilla, works very well blended with a god fruit like blackberry or currant.
Vanilla teas are always hit and miss with me. This one is pretty good alone but I do want to play a little and try blending it with some other teas to see what I can do with it.
Others have said the vanilla taste/smell was artificial, but I don't think so at all. I found it pretty delicate and just right. Tasty by itself, but I particularly enjoyed it blended with peppermint tea. :)
Great tea! I would recommend using this to soften a blended tea.
It has the taste of artificial vanilla. I don't enjoy drinking it by itself, but mixing it with other teas works very well.
Smells nice. Good taste of vanilla. Odd aftertaste from flavor is slight.
This vanilla is good. Not great, not bad, just good. It doesn't have that luscious, rich flavor of plump Madagascar vanilla beans. rather, the vanilla is more of an idea or an aroma than a flavor. It does, however, mix very well with many other teas and flavors. It's a great base for a blend, but I'll probably never drink this by itself again.
This tea has a very nice vanilla flavor, though in some instances may have a slightly artificial side to it. It isn't anything particularly unpleasant though. This tea's strength is in how well it blends with other teas--almond, chocolate chip, etc. This tea does become a bit 'crave-able' after a couple of tries so I find myself blending it fairly often. Overall this is another very good tea but one that holds up better to blending than drinking solo. *Update* after trying another dozen teas I've reevaluated this one because it doesn't quite rank as high in quality as most other Adagio teas. It's still a good flavor but it just doesn't taste enough like fresh vanilla for me.
I've had a similar experience with the Vanilla oolong. It tastes a bit awkward, even with milk added. However, the flavor isn't as bad as the oolong. I wish the vanilla flavor was stronger like the cream flavor tea. Like the oolong, I'm hoping it'll blend with other teas well.
This isn't my favorite tea, something about it is just off for my taste buds. But my brother is in love with it and would drink it all day if he could.
The vanilla flavor is nice and mild. I like it with a little milk and tons of sugar.
Just a plain ol' regular vanilla flavored tea. It is tasty
I love loose leaf tea and I had the hardest time tryi to find this wonderful tea till I came to this amazing website!!
Nice black tea, with a very mild vanilla undertone. Very smooth, I've ordered this tea twice and plan to do so again.
Very smooth with a lovely flavor. The flavor isn't too strong. Great with sweet breakfasts.
If you are looking for a vanilla tea, this and the vanilla oolong are both viable options. This one is smoother, and not too sweet, it's aroma is a little weaker than I would like, but it's a good tea for it's price.
I was disappointed at first that it didn't smell strongly of vanilla or taste of it, but I've grown to love the taste of the tea. I would probably be better off mixing it, but drinking it just alone isn't the best thing.
I find myself overwhelmed with a medicinal taste when the tea first flows into my mouth. The strong artificial taste fades a bit with each sip and the tea gets more drinkable as I go. I won't be buying this one again. The 'natural vanilla flavor' tastes anything but. I wish I could find a flavored tea that didn't have these strong artificial flavors inserted into it.
A very nice dessert tea, good for cold nights or mixing with other flavors.
Just had this for the first time this morning.. my first time having vanilla loose leaf tea over grocery store tea bags. I thought it was delicious with some cream and sugar, and it smelled wonderful.
This is a fabulous addition to any other black tea. It adds a creaminess and takes the edge off of the bitterness of the Ceylon. I will probably buy a greater quantity of this to mix in with other teas (and to improve some!) I love the idea of mixing it with strawberry. Much more flavor than the cream tea, definitely adds a sweetness.
great mixed with most flavors. or alone. i like doing hazelnut or strawberry
You know, I wasn't sure what I'd think of this one by itself. I've had it mixed in with several teas but nover as a stand alone. But I was very pleased. It isn't overpowering and is naturally sweet. Add a little cream and it's bliss.
Good, but not great. This vanilla tea has an artificial enough taste to the flavoring that it does best when mixed in with another black to lighten the flavor. I recommend mixing it with assam - it works nicely.
The vanilla is a perfect addition to the black tea. I prefer the vanilla tea over the cream flavored one.
Best vanilla tea I've ever had. The smell and taste is so cozy!
The vanilla was very strong but fairly artificial to me. It did make a sweet, nonbitter brew. I won't be brewing it on its own again but I'm sure a little dash of it will help soften my blends.
This is a very smooth tea, and the vanilla works beautifully with the Ceylon. Delicious!
One of the best black teas Adagio offers, if only for the fact that it goes with everything. I can mix the Vanilla Black with a dozen of my other teas and it deepens the flavor profile instead of smothering it.
Nice mixing tea: I like to blend mine with caramel and chocolate from Adagio. Very good on its own (just not super exciting) but if you need a quiet cup, this is the one.
I loved this blend, it wasn't too strong, so maybe I should try brewing it a bit longer next time. I took it with 2 sugars of tea and was just enough of sweetness. What I loved about it was, the fact that it helped with my headache. Soothing smell and lovely taste. I'm going to try and blend it with chocolate chip next time :]
This isn't an overly sweet flavored black tea, which is good. The vanilla flavoring adds a touch of sweetness but it nicely balances out the Ceylon.
Tastes good with some sugar but kinda weak, I'm going to try steeping it longer next time.
This was a great tea. It smells great and tasted great. I can't wait to try with a bit of milk.
I've had fun mixing this tea with others. On its own the flavor is light and subtle, a good vanilla tea for those that dislike strong flavors. It also lacks the general bitter aftertaste of many flavored blacks, but sometimes this can come out in blends.
This was a good tea
I mix this with berry blends and chais. OMG, try it with the Tardis blend. YUM.
Didn't get too much of the vanilla flavor in the first cup I brewed. I may just need to tweak some things, though.
I prefer using vanilla as an ingredient for blends, but on its own it is still delicious and creamy with a smooth mouthfeel. Much more full-bodied and rich than boxed vanilla teas I've had over the years.
I've been searching for years for a good vanilla flavored tea and this is easily the best I've had. It strikes just the right balance between the tea and vanilla flavors.
Just the right amount of vanilla flavor, not overpowering. Good, easy drinking tea.
Its not a bad tea but I just don't care for it by itself. Maybe if its mixed with another tea it wold be great.
Instead of vanilla, I get a feeling and taste like I've added creamer to it. Which is something you'd expect from cream, but, well, here it is. (for added bonus, cream tastes nothing like I've added creamer) Definitely not a favorite to drink straight, but mixed with other flavors, it's nice.
I love that there is no way to describe vanilla other than vanilla - and that's exactly what this is. Black tea, vanilla. Oldie, but a goodie. Goes with everything, great additive for blends.
This is the perfect tea to drink with somthing sweet! The vanilla is mild enough that it wont overpower the flavor of your dessert, but just compliments it. It would probably be good as an iced tea as well...I think I will try this next!
A fine black tea on its own, but by itself, the vanilla flavour is barely there. I find it comes out more when mixed with other flavours. I was expecting a more intense vanilla flavour by itself. My hunt for the perfect vanilla tea continues.
Nice to mix with other teas and get creative!!!
Interesting on its own (and a little bit bitter, like all black teas for me), this tea really shines when mixed with others. It adds a lovely extra note to any spiced tea, chai, or chocolatey tea.
