I was really surprised to like this as much as I did. The aroma is amazing-- it really does smell like chocolate covered strawberries. The taste is also quite nice. Sometimes chocolate flavored teas end up tasting a bit off, but the addition of the strawberry here really tempered that. Very nice for a morning when you want black tea but also want something not too basic.

★★★★★

Hopefully you like dark chocolate because this tea is far from tasting of sweet chocolate. Delicious as a desert tea or anytime. I'm skipping coffee so I can enjoy a nice cup of this black tea instead.

★★★★★

This was my first time trying this particular tea, but I loved the taste. I loved the chocolate especially, and I try to have a cup at least once a week.

It seems like 'chocolate and strawberry tea' and 'chocolate covered strawberry tea' should taste the exact same, since the position of the chocolate in relation to the strawberry shouldn't matter in a flavored tea. Somehow, though, instead of just putting chocolate and strawberry teas together to suggest the idea of a chocolate covered strawberry, Adagio managed to create a tea that tastes exactly like biting into a strawberry surrounded by a shell of dark chocolate. I expected it to be good, but this is way better than I thought!

I don't care for chocolate, but this tea is delicious. I brought it to work, and shared it for Valentine's day. I think only one coworker tried it, but several smelled it. They all loved the scent, and those of us who tried it loved it. It's not an everyday tea for me, but I will be drinking it again soon. Prepared according to recommended time and temp.

★★★★☆

I have to say I am much more impressed with it now than I was when I tried it first a few years ago. Great chocolate undertones and full flavor of the tea make this a very exotic and interesting tea for a special occasion or for a break from the everyday routine.

★★★★★

Thus was surprisingly delicious. The strawberry was subtle but not weak and did not taste artificial. I especially enjoyed this warm with cream and sugar.

★★★★★

I bought a sample of this with my first purchase of Adagio teas. The chocolate and strawberries blend very well together. Not too overpowering. What's not to love?

★★★★★

This tea is fantastic! I loved it so so much and would buy again and again.

★★★☆☆

The smell of this tea in the bag didn't give me much hope for the taste, but the chocolate and strawberry marries well together. I can't say it's my go to tea, but it was worth a try.

★★★☆☆

The chocolate notes were far too bitter, the other flavors made for a pungent mix. The combination didn't resemble a much loved dish, chocolate covered strawberries.

★★☆☆☆

In my opinion it tasted bad. Too sweet for my taste.

★★★★☆

Chocolate and strawberries, what is not to love! Great Valentine's gift for your tea lover every year.

★★★★☆

Good tea. Can taste the chocolate. Robust flavor.

★★★★☆

I found this very pleasant in aroma and taste, though its flavor is neither strongly chocolate nor powerfully strawberry. I've been searching for a good chocolate-strawberry tea to replace one that is no longer available, and while this isn't the winner in that category, it is nonetheless a cozy, warm tea-drinking experience.

★★★☆☆

I just can't get myself to like chocolate teas. They always sound like a great idea but, I never like them. However it smells amazing so maybe I will make sachets out of it

★★★★★

I love this one! It definitely tastes like chocolate covered strawberries to me and goes great with a little milk and a little sugar!

★★★★★

Tasted like a chocolate covered strawberry! It was wonderful.

★★★★☆

I was hoping for a more chocolatey strawberry flavor, but I don't taste the chocolate at all. The tea is light and floral, and tastes more like the summer rose tea with a hint of fruit than a chocolate dipped strawberry. It's not bad by any stretch: I do like it, it's just not quite what I was expecting. It's nice and smooth with a splash of milk and honey. Upon reading other reviews I was careful not to overbrew, and the floral and fruity notes were nicely balanced with the tea.

★★★★★

Smelled AMAZING, exactly like chocolate-covered strawberries. I also love rose in tea, so no complaints there.

★★★★★

A richer and more complex flavor than I expected. The smell of the bagged tea is very high, delicate, and sweet, but not syrupy or saccharine, like a high-quality confection with sugared dried strawberries (as opposed to cheap, artificially flavored, common candy). While brewing, though, it takes on a deeper, darker character from the chocolate, and the roses add a hint of sophistication. The tea itself is rich and complex. The roasty, warm presences of chocolate chips and cacao nibs became more prominent, as did the familiar 'ground' flavor of Ceylon black tea. At first, when it was still hot, the berry flavor was very subtle and easily lost among the roasty chocolate and classic black tea flavors, but as it has cooled to a warmth a few degrees above room temperature, the berries are much more noticeable. Adding a splash of whole milk and a drop or two of honey helped to bring out the sweeter presences in the blend as it cooled, so I recommend doing that if you want a stronger strawberry flavor. I also found that brewing it for longer than suggested in the cup (as opposed to brewing it while the water is still on the heat or being maintained at a temperature by your kettle, et cetera) helps to establish the berry flavor. If you drink it right away, while still hot, you will notice some strawberry, but it's mostly chocolate and black tea with a hint of rosy floral notes at that point. But this is one of those teas that really improves a lot if given some time to sit. I'm tempted to try brewing it in the refrigerator overnight to see what I get!

On the whole, I am impressed and pleased with this tea. It is indeed a perfect Valentine's Day tea and I'm happy I took a risk and got the 3oz package while it was on sale. I will definitely have no problems finishing it over time (and I'm glad it will take me a while to go through it all!)

On the whole, after being left to sit, and with the addition of whole milk and a bit of honey, the flavors are very well balanced between black tea, chocolate, sweet dried strawberries, and roses. Rich, roasty, floral, fruity, and complex. Very tasty! (But to be honest, I could understand if certain people didn't like it. It strikes me as an acquired taste, or the sort of thing you have to have a fondness for. It's definitely a bit of an unusual flavor profile for tea. But it's not what you would expect from the description and I think it's very much worth a shot even if you're not the sort of person who usually likes 'dessert' teas. Several reviewers have said that this tea is like drinking liquefied chocolate-covered strawberries, but I disagree. It's more complex and tastier than that. Give it a try!

Smells amazing, first of all. It really does taste like chocolate and strawberries, without either flavor being too overpowering.

really not a fan. very bland and chemically flavored. i was really surprised because i've never had a tea from adagio quite this disappointing before.

★★★★☆

Wow, I LOVED this tea. I always take my tea very dark and sweet, and the chocolate-strawberry flavor was just heavenly. I can't stop drinking it -- so glad I bought more than just the sample size!

★★★★☆

I expected it to be a bit sweeter. It was somewhat bitter for my liking. Still good though.

★★★★★

I'm in love. It smells amazing, and tastes exactly how it smells. Great with a little milk and sugar--the taste really stands up to the milk and sugar and becomes a smooth and delicious cup.

Kind of just a murky cup of old chocolate and dead roses. I tried brewing it strong, weak, adding cream. Meh. Bleh.

I like this one. Very similar to Libra. But without the cream.

I wasn't entirely sure how much I would like this tea, but after trying a cup, I knew I found a new staple for my tea cabinet. It's lovely with hints of strawberry and chocolate, but not too much that you can't also taste the tea.

★★★★☆

It was ok, but not one of my favorites. I was hoping for more strawberry flavor.

★★★★★

Perfect for this season. I love the actual chocolate in the tea!

★★★★★

As others have said, this tea REALLY DOES taste like chocolate-covered strawberries. It's delicious! It was one of the first samples I received through a monthly tea program that was gifted to me, and now I'm back for a full-sized bag!

This is AMAZING! I love 'The Cake is a Lie' Portal fandom blend by Cephal O. Poda (which contains Valentines tea), so I thought I'd try it all on its own - I sure am glad I did! (Though, 'The Cake is a Lie' still takes first place.)

This was a great tea, I could really taste the chocolate and strawberry notes.

★★★☆☆

I'm beginning to fall out of love with Adagio's flavored black ceylon teas. With this one you can sort of taste the chocolate and strawberry notes, but the black tea taste is still too strong relative to the other flavors. I will say this is better than blackberry or chocolate chip, but not by a ton. Milk and sugar does help it along. Overall, it's not bad, and if you like Adagio's other flavored black teas you'll probably like this one as well.

One of my favorite teas! I love chocolate teas and this one is easy to make, easy to steep, and hard to mess up! Favorite combination! This was the tea that got me started on loose leaf, and I can't go back!

Had a very strong chocolate flavor, but the strawberry taste was a little bit lacking. This is in comparison to the wild strawberry tea, which still stands as one of my favorite teas. Would have loved if the berry flavor was a bit more prominent, and may end up mixing half and half with the wild strawberry tea.

★★★★★

You can really taste the strawberry and chocolate in this, but not the rose. Love the flavor of this tea! I like it with sugar and a little milk.

★★★★★

This tea is surprisingly pleasant, I love the hint of strawberry flavor of it.

My children love this one. They're convinced it tastes exactly like hot chocolate!

★★★★☆

This tea is quite good - the rose petals add a lovely brightness to the overall taste that is very pleasant. It isn't as robust as might be expected but it has instead a gentle, subtle intensity that deepens with each taste.

★★★☆☆

Very mild, almost too mild. Need to steep a lot longer than the package suggests!

★★★★★

This is absolutely my favorite tea ever! You cannot beat this combination of Chocolate and Strawberry and it's calorie free!! If you haven't tried this one yet, you really ought to, you will love it!!!

★★★★☆

A nice, light tea that combines the subtle flavors of chocolate, strawberry and rose. The strawberry is less prominent than the other flavors, but you can taste it if you concentrate.

I love how there is a hint of chocolate flavor in this tea.

★★★☆☆

There's nothing really spectacular about this. The only thing I truly taste is the black tea...the hints of other things isn't enough to make this a nice cup of tea.

★★★★★

Tastes just like a juicy strawberry covered in smooth milk chocolate.
