Richer and more full bodied than i expected, this one's a keeper. The strawberry floats over a bold black tea and cocoa notes. I may have oversteeped it as it was a touch bitter but not unpleasantly so.

★★★★☆

I mainly taste the chocolate and the dark tea. It’s good, but not a favorite. I’m not really a fan of chocolate teas.

I'm not usually a fan of chocolate based teas, but in combination with the strawberries and a splash of non-dairy creamer, I think I'm falling in love.

This one was a good in general tea. Glad I had it but was just okay in flavor.

5 Stars! Love love love this tea! Cheers to you!

Dry scent is heavy in chocolate flavor. Brewed, it has a bit more floral to the scent. Taste is heavy in dark or unsweetened chocolate with a bit of berry and the slightest hint of rose. With cream & sugar, it has the taste of hot chocolate. I wish that it had a wider range of chocolate, because there's a richness that's missed in there. It's still good, but I believe it could be better.

CommuniTEA sample: 3 min @ 212 F: It smells strongly of chocolate and strongly of rose, which is an interesting combination, I don't hate it? I do taste some strawberry in there, I tend to taste the chocolate first, then the strawberry, which brings out some of the fruitiness from the Ceylon, then the cocoa, which brings out bitterness from the Ceylon that I'm not fond of, and then the Rose, which is floral, in a slightly clean way that's a little bit bitter, but also a little bit sweet, and kind of wraps back around to the chocolate? I can taste everything, I think that if you like these ingredients together, you'll love this tea! Maybe it will be your Valentine?

Although the rose petals gave me pause, I do like a good strong black tea, so it didn't make this tea too bitter. The chocolate comes across pretty strongly, but the strawberry is more subtle.

As lovely as a chocolate covered strawberry. Bold flavor that tastes better with cream.

This tea tastes fittingly like chocolate candy, but the other flavors (such as strawberries) don't stand out.

2/14/025 - Well, I officially change my mind about this tea. I have come to actually enjoy a bit of rose in my tea, and the chocolate flavor has grown on me. Tastes change over time, and I find I'm changing my mind about some teas. I now enjoy the blend of flavors in this tea. Upped stars to 5. :)
2/14/2021 - This tea is not one for me. I don't care for rose petals in tea, and my packet seemed to have a lot of petals in it. The rose flavor didn't pair well with the chocolate. The chocolate flavor was very strong and petty much overpowered any strawberry that might have been in the packet. Not a bad tea...just not one I would buy for myself.

The instructions say to steep for 3 minutes, but I find this tea more delicious steeped for 4-5 minutes. It is very fragrant. This was my first time trying a tea with strawberries, but it won't be my last.

Definitely taste the chocolate notes but not the strawberry to be honest . Still yummy 😋

Smooth and tasty. Fun concept for a tea. Smells great when brewing. Needs a touch of honey or other sweetener to bring out the great taste.

★★★★★

I really enjoyed the sample of Valentines black tea. I would buy this in a larger size next time.

First tea I’ve tried from here. And omg, it’s amazing!! I was really surprised how much I noticed the chocolate flavor. It really is a sweet, lovely tea to just cozy up with. Would be perfect for the holiday it’s named after. It’s actually pretty decent without any sweetener, but I added a teaspoon of sugar.

I love this blend. It tastes like the chocolate chai tea but far more subtle and the rose petals add a slight flowery taste to it that I adore. I steep it for 10 minutes to get maximum flavor out of the leaves.

A delight. It's maybe a little subtle to me, but it does taste of chocolate strawberries and I have someone who adores it, so I've ordered it again.

This tea is delightful, I love the chocolatey goodness mixed with a hint of strawberry and rose. This is a weekly go to for me.

I love the Valentine's tea. It's one of my favorites. The chocolate taste that comes through is delicious and I love the little pink hearts.

Really smooth not overpowering. I love it. It is not overly sweet. It comes together very well. 5 ***

One of my absolute favorites! A rich flavor that suits its name and theme. Everything works together perfectly!

I have tried this both hot and cold with various sweeteners. It is too bitter for my taste. The strawberry doesn't come through enough for me in any iteration, sadly.

I think my guests really enjoyed this one for our Valentine's day tea party, lots of positive responses.

This tea was a lot better than I thought it would be. I am not usually a berry tea person, but this one got me.

I loved this balcony tea, the chocolate and strawberry flavors were perfect together. I enjoyed it with a little honey

Very strong chocolate taste which honestly i should have figured, over powers the strawberry's though. Not my cup of tea (pun intended)

This was ok. Nice tea, but I did not find a strong strawberry flavor, which is what I was hoping for.

I actually don't like the flavor of rose that much, but it meshes in well with this blend. The fruity flavor from the strawberries is kind of mild, perhaps I got to try it again maybe with some cream and it would bring it out some more? Pretty nice !

★★★☆☆

This flavor is just ok. It’s hard to taste the strawberry flavor. You really have to take a deep breath through your nose before taking a sip to really make your brain think of choc covered strawberries to relate the flavor to that. Not bad but not my fav

Still among my favorite flavored blends. It really does taste just like a chocolate strawberry! And now with the added rose, it’s got just a little simmering extra. So good with sweetener and cream.

A mildly chocolate strawberry tea. I really think they’ve blended this well.

Disclaimer: I removed the rose petals. The dry tea leaves smell like chocolate with a light sweet fruit/berry. No strawberry pieces. I did a light brew to keep it from being bitter or astringent. Pleasant chocolate and sweet flavor.

I thought the chocolate, fruity, and floral notes married well with this tea. I had quite a few rose petals in my packet, but the strawberry was actually the most predominant flavor. Perhaps not at the top of my reorder list, but a great cup of tea nonetheless.

2/14/24 - still a good tea but I think I would add some cocoa nibs next time to increase the chocolate flavor.
2/14/2023 - As noted above by a couple of reviewers, this does not have a strong black tea flavor. I am a 'purist' with respect to tea - I love things with the tea, but do not use sugar or milk/cream. The strawberry and chocolate were both very mild - but smooth. I might have liked it a bit stronger, but that is a personal choice. I steeped it for the 3 minutes suggested - I would consider it again.

A delicious dessert style tea. When I opened the CT packet I smelled chocolate and strawberries and after I brewed it it didn't dissapoint. Like drinking a chocolate covered strawberry. Delightful.

all I taste is Ceylon and a bit of Rose Petals. No chocolate, no strawberry. maybe my CT packet was shorted. I did add some rock crystals. I can neither say I liked nor disliked.

This tea wouldn't be one I order. It's a bit to much chocolate with high tannins for me. I like chocolate teas with a smoother base and I like teas with high tannins that aren't as busy, but putting them together for me doesn't work as well as if they were separate. Many of the reviews I read mentioned sweetener as a must and maybe that's where my cup fell short as I never add sweetener to my tea. I guess this cup of love is just not for me.

Still a hit!

really liked this! Guess I have to revise my 'i'm not a chocolate or fruit tea // chocolate with fruit person' stance. I appreciate the chocolate and strawberry's subtlety, and that it's a black tea with a little dark astringency... sweetener is a must though. Happy valentines.

2024: Nope, I still don’t like this one even with the correct brewing time. I taste floral notes with a burnt chocolate flavor… not my cup of tea.

2023: I messed up! I thought I hit start on my timer, but I didn’t 😕
I tasted delicious notes of strawberry at the end. Getting through the burnt and bitter taste upfront was a bit tough though. Unfortunately, I’ll probably have to wait an entire year to sample this Valentine tea again.

Sometimes the holiday blends are a bit too busy for me but this one has a nice balance of flavors. The scent upon opening the pack made me want to munch on the tea straight up, it’s so good. Brewing does mellow down those flavors and some of the more dominant ones settle nicely. I did add a teaspoon of half-and-half for some creaminess but it doesn’t need it to be yummy.
