This tea flavor was ok, however I really couldn't detect the strawberry or chocolate flavors, they were way more subtle than I would have preferred.
Deliciously combines the luxurious flavor of fresh-dipped chocolate-covered strawberries with the taste of premium Ceylon black tea.

This tea flavor was ok, however I really couldn't detect the strawberry or chocolate flavors, they were way more subtle than I would have preferred.
The first few cups I had of this I wasn t really impressed. I bought it as a replacement for the Libra tea since a lot of people said they tasted similar, and I guess since that s what I was expecting that s why I didn t like it. However, stepping away from that and trying it as it s own tea I ve really come to enjoy it.
I added 1/2 tsp of honey and 1 tbsp of sugar to this and find it delightfully sweet without being saccharine, and I taste the strawberries the most out of this, with a hint of chocolate. <3
sadly, the aftertaste on this was terrible. it was enjoyable while drinking, and i liked the chocolate and strawberry. but after a minute--no good
I changed my mind on this one. Improved with second and third cup and adding more milk. Actually very delicious and different. Subtle chocolate and strawberry taste.
It smells of strawberries and chocolate but this tea tasted more of rose than the former two. I'm not quite sure how I like that.
Update: Don't judge me y'all and definitely don't knock it unless you've tried it. I was curious and decided to see what happens when you brew a bit of this tea with coffee. so I prepared my drip, used my coffee (Bustelo) and added a bit of this tea. It helped me get those flavors my taste buds have missed. I got the chocolatey and strawberry notes that others had talked about while the tea seemed to have tamed the notably bitter notes I usually get from coffee. I have tried this with and without cream and sugar and I like it both ways. Naturally, I'm bumping up the stars for the tea itself.
Another one of my favorites to start the morning out with a bit of chocolate without the calories.
This is a great name for the tea. It completely tastes like chocolate covered strawberries, which is definitely something I'd associate with Valentines. For full bodied flavor and aroma, I recommend steeping without covering the cup in the meantime. The flavor is very potent so it tops off quickly and the only reason why you'd add tea is to strengthen how much caffeine you're getting in the cup. Great with milk/cream/non-dairy powder creamer.
First impressions I liked it. Towards the end less. Maybe it’s the rose or maybe it’s something else but it seemed to have a bit of a bitter aftertaste. The chocolate? Was it because the tea was cooling off? To experiment I’ll try a lower temperature next time.
This tea was not for me. It was too cloying and sweet.
This tea was pretty tasty, but not sure that it's something I'd want to drink on a regular basis. We added milk to really bring out the flavor.
What a wonderful smelling tea! This black tea has floral notes, as well as a slight fruity and chocolate taste.
This tea is so delicious. Normally I drink black tea with milk and honey but this one is so delicious I drink it plain. The strawberry is the most prominent flavor, to me, then the chocolate. Highly recommend for strawberry lovers!
I love this tea! Started with a sample and just ordered the large bag!!
I thought it was overall pretty light. I liked the rose but I would have liked more from it. It does smell wonderful, but I think I was expecting more. It's not a bad tea at all though and I would certainly drink it again. But it wouldn't necessarily be one I couldn't live without.
I've had this tea in blends before, but not by itself until now. On its own it tastes more of chocolate than of strawberry, but that doesn't detract in any way. (Granted, I didn't have many strawberry pieces –maybe 1 or 2 tiny ones– in the scoop I used, so that probably was a factor.) The finish is pleasantly smooth, and I notice more of the strawberry flavor then, which pleasantly lingers between sips & for long enough to decide if you want another cup. If you're not a fan of roses it's also really easy to just pick out some/all of the petals & it won't take away from the experience. Oh, and it also smells divine! Highly recommended.
I'm not particularly fond of the chocolate flavor in this tea, they seem to overwhelm the floral notes at times. But adding more sugar helped me like this tea a bit more. Maybe I'd need to combine it with another tea to really bring its best potential out.
Edit: 1/2/18
I had enough tea from my sample for one more cup and I think I just didn't put in enough leaves or needed to add more sugar. The chocolate and rose are pretty tasty together, and my only gripe is the weird chocolate aftertaste that comes afterwards. But clearly I need to add more leaves and sugar in when I try my teas from now on. XD
How did they get the flavor so good in this one? I was a little doubtful when it said it had rose in it because flowery teas and flowery smells in foods (like jasmine tea and jasmine rice) are really hit-or-miss for me. It makes sense that they put it in because it s a Valentines tea, but you don t really smell the rose in this, not that much anyway. When you open the pouch, it s rich delicious dark chocolate with some strawberry notes. If you drink it straight, it will satisfy your chocolate craving even without sugar. But I added some milk and turbinado sugar to see what would happen... and it is perfect! It honestly tastes like there are melted flakes of rich dark chocolate in it. I m not waiting until February to reorder because this is gonna be sold out for sure.
Chocolate-covered strawberries. What's not to love?
Bought this before and loved it. Has a real Valentine flavor, like chocolate covered strawberries.
I originally purchased this tea for myself but when I offered a cup to my mother she ended up taking the whole bag with her. I just purchased another bag for her as it has officially become her favorite tea. This was the tea that converted her. She used to add sugar to all her teas but the rich flavors and sweet aroma make this tea a perfect sweet treat. I personally love to have this tea after dinner as a dessert style tea.
I quite like this, it does remind me of a box of chocolate. In liquid form. I recommend shaking the bag up before drinking.
Absolutely divine! This tea is smooth and calming. As always, second steep is just as good as the first one!
So very good, love to drink a cup for dessert. Really tastes like chocolate and strawberries
I honestly can't believe how good this tea is. I expected it to be 'just okay', but it's so flavorful. The floral doesn't overpower the strawberry which is held in check by the chocolate. I'm going to become my own year-round valentine and keep this tea on hand.
Nice dark tea with good accent flavors. The chocolate goes very well with this tea.
Amazing. Can definitely taste the strawberries and the chocolate notes. Really good with a little bit of milk.
This tea is good. I love the mixture of chocolate and strawberries.
Absolutely delicious! I love the aroma and the flavor!
I enjoyed this one. Really liked the rose petals.
Valentine's was the very first Adagio tea I ever had, and I am hooked. Love the combo of flavors!
Surprisingly fruity considering it smells almost overwhelmingly of chocolate. I didn't get any of the promised rose (either in scent or taste) but the fruit/chocolate combo is delightful on its own.
I was not a big fan of this flavor. I like other flavors better.
I didn't like this tea. It tasted like I was drinking wood.
My favorite tea from this site so far. The flavor is chocolate covered strawberries, just as it promises. Delightful!
This is my go to morning tea- smooth, dark, and rich with a hit of sweetness. Definitely a favorite.
I really enjoy this tea and this is the black tea I order the most.
I really enjoy this tea. I have had this tea on hand for two years constantly. It is my go to tea. I find the taste really appealing and the flavor rather smooth.
I bought this to see how it would compare to Adagio's Libra blend, which I also love and which has a very similar flavor description. If you like one, you'd probably like the other, but the Valentines tea has more size choices when it comes to purchasing, so that's nice. It does indeed taste a lot like chocolate-covered strawberries (keeping in mind that the tea version of chocolate flavor takes some getting used to - it's not like eating a chocolate bar, more like a suggestion of chocolate). One difference I noted: the Valentines tea seems to have a stronger and sweeter strawberry flavor than the Libra tea, in which the chocolate and strawberry flavors are more balanced with each other.
The only problem I had with this tea is, unfortunately, a problem that the Libra tea shares: it doesn't rebrew well at all. I get one decent tasting cup out of a teaspoon of leaves, and that's it. My attempt at brewing a second cup resulted in something that tasted watered down and only vaguely strawberry flavored, rather than the lovely rich flavor I got in my first cup.
This was even better than I thought it would be. Valentines has a smooth taste of mild chocolate with sweet strawberry undertones. It really did taste like a chocolate covered strawberry was floating around in the tea! (Although I'd rather eat the choco-strawberry out of the tea!) An overall very nice flavored black tea.
The first sip always tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry!
I love ceylon tea and chocolate so how could I go wrong with this tea? Very delicious!
I enjoyed Valentines! If you have a sweet tooth this helps with the cravings!
This is a very strong tea, but in a good way! You can tell just from opening the package. The chocolate is definitely the stronger flavor and scent in this, but it s not a bad thing at all. The strawberry accentuates it nicely.
Your sweet tooth will feel teased to the point of blue balls... but no actual chocolates will present. 'S ok.
A favorite! I bought the largest bag when they were on sale last February and I'm husbanding the last until February 2018 comes around!
This is one of my all time favorite teas. I always have some of it on hand.
Not one of my favorites, but it has a nice smooth flavor with a good taste of strawberries!
This is a wonderful black tea. It has a light, chocolate flavor, with just a hint of strawberry.
I could not feel the chocolate enough, which is one of the things I was looking for, but I guess I am still learning to brew the tea correctly. The rose and berries did come up, however and made this tea worth requesting again.
This tea is really enjoyable, especially with sugar and milk. It's like dessert! I wish the rose flavor was a little stronger, but I still enjoy the blend of chocolate and strawberry immensely.
