This blend smells pretty much what a bag of cocoa nibs does, but steeped, the caramel and vanilla come out and the chocolate takes a backseat. It’s got a gorgeous dark color that does actually remind me of the gemstone.

Taste-wise, the bag recommends 3 minutes steep, and even with my paranoia about oversteeping black teas, I might even go a little longer - it’s a little light, even for me. It’s got a warm taste and a soft finish, though the flavors aren’t as prominent as the nose would have you believe, but that might be fixed with a longer steep. As far as black teas go, if you like them drinkable straight, this is a great one

A new favorite! I am a huge fan of Adagio's other chocolate teas, and this one is equally delicious. If you're looking for something a little different, give this one a try!

This isn't my favorite, and I probably won't re-order, but only because there are so many teas I like better than this one. I don't really taste the flavors as they are described.

I was drawn in by the description as I love caramel and chocolate anything. However, I was a bit disappointed as it's desserty notes were less dramatic as I had hoped they would be.

Fairly good. The aroma before brewing is so amazingly good. Brewed it lost most of the chocolate, but retained some of the caramel and vanilla flavor.

This is a sweet, rich tea that warms you through. I was hoping for a little more chocolate-caramel flavor, but it's still amazing! I like it with a splash of milk and a bit of honey or brown sugar.

Subtle notes of caramel with slightly stronger hints of chocolate, but neither are overpowering. A nice, understated tea.

This tea is phenomenal. Sweet, rich, well-rounded flavors that are as pleasant on initial sip as they are as an aftertaste. I take mine with a small amount of milk, but would drink it with or without.

VERY good tea! It has a nice sweetness to it that additive sweeteners is not necessary. I would recommend this as a good dessert tea.

This was a nice blend of smoky caramel and cocoa, not too sweet off the bat, but could be made sweeter with sugar!

I'm rather fond of this tea. I got the caramel and chocolate notes fairly well. Not one of my favorites, but definitely not bad.

Yuck!! I love a good sweet tea but I'm not going to be able to finish this one! It smelled off and tasted worse. The combination of caramel and chocolate just didn't work. Not even a large amount of cream and sugar made this palatable. Tasted acrid and overpowering. NEVER again!

Still trying to find the perfect steep and taste the grand array of flavors. Occasionally get a hint of one or the other but I was expecting something similar to Valentines in 'dessert' flavor. Haven't found that yet.

Unfortunately, you can't taste the chocolate and is decidedly un-caramel like. I can taste the 'sweet' but it's nothing like caramel!

Nice tea, has a nice chocolate flavor and very delicious tea. Good for an after dinner dessert.

A nice mix if a little bland. Didn't live up to my expectations of the blend.

A simple dark tea. No frills but good flavor.

This tea tastes good, but I could not pick out the individual flavors.

This is my absolute FAVORITE tea! The caramel flavor is exquisite, it just puts a smile on your face at the first sip!

Firstly, it smells amazing in the bag. I absolutely loved seeing the actual cocoa nibs in the mix! I loved the taste, and just a touch of almond milk gave it the perfect nutty balance for me.

I think this is my new favorite! The smell alone makes it worth trying. (Would it be weird to put a little sachet of it in my sock drawer, lol?) Smooth, rich, and not too sweet. I take it black, but I'm sure it would be lovely with a little vanilla coconut milk, too.

This tea was alright, but not something I will personally get again. It sounded delicious but when drinking it I didn't really get the chocolate or caramel flavors. And if I did it wasn't often. I had to add more to it, to bring the flavors out a bit.

I was worried it would be overwhelming sweet but it wasn't! It's sweet and mild, love it.

Not sure if I was going to like this one so tried only a sample pack. Much to my surprise, it's very good. The cocoa is subtly there and blends well with the black tea, makes a very pleasant cuppa!

This is a very flavorful tea. Adding sugar, really brings out the chocolate flavor. This tea has a strong chocolate flavor, but a subtle caramel and vanilla flavor in the background. It has a very dry finish, and can be a good dessert like tea.

Not quite as good as Caramel, or Valentine's tea (Adagio's most 'chocolate-y' blend), but it's definitely a keeper. I use two teaspoons per Ingenuitea and it's nice. I think the chocolate flavor could be a bit stronger...

I am not really sure how to explain the flavor of this one, but it was good. Especially when added with the coconut tea.

I'm sure some people will love this tea, but for me my love of chocolate and sweets found this tea all wrong. It was too much chocolate for a tea and made me feel like I was actually drinking chocolate. Sorry, this is the first tea I've given a bad review

This tea smells absolutely amazing! It hits you right when you open the bag, like a delicious bit of chocolate cheesecake in tea form. I did find that the taste didn't quite match the smell (alas), and it can be a tad too bitter for me, like a dark coffee, but overall it is quite a good 'dessert' sort of tea. I especially like it with a bit of milk and sugar. In fact, its flavor is somewhat reminiscent of Kahlua!

Good dessert tea with a bit of sweetner and milk. The chocolate and caramel could be a tad stronger, but it's pretty good as is.

This tea is awsome. It tastes like Kaulia. I think is it rich and yummy.

Dessert in a cup! That's what this tea is! Sweet enough on its own, outta this world with a pinch of sweetener. This tastes positively sinful, and yet is happy for your hips. A new cupboard staple!

Good chocolate and caramel flavors, cant wait to have more.

I want to love this tea, but I cannot. I love the concept of the caramel, chocolate

This is more than the sum of it's parts. You can taste the caramel and chocolate, but it's quite different than if you just combine adagio's chocolate and caramel teas together. It's richer and more flavorful.

Good tea. Smells like a high end coffee shop. Smooth and carmely (is that a word). I really enjoyed this solid tea.

Smells great in the bag, and tastes great in the cup. The chocolate and caramel flavors both come through, and work together really well.

I ordered this because after reading the description, how could I not? Brewed it and ended up not being quite as happy as I wanted to be. Don't get me wrong, it was still quite delicious, I guess I was just expecting something besides what I tasted. The chocolate flavor was almost non-existant, and the caramel was close to being missing too. However, it was still quite tasty and I will order it again

Smells kinda like coffee, tastes kinda like coffee? I don't like coffee, but I love this. Super powerful, very wake-up-y.

Probably the best smelling black tea I've ever had. Sweet and dark and chocolatey!

This sort of reminds me of half the dessert-flavored signature blends people make here. Pretty nice to see it on its own. The flavors really come out when you add a bit of sweetener.

I ordered this because the reviews were so good and the reviews were accurate! Absolutely delicious.

Smells absolutely divine. It terms of taste, the chocolate flavor is what jumped out at me first. I think it's the most prevalent, with the caramel and vanilla behind it. I'm glad that I got the 3oz packet vs. the sample!
With some sweetener and milk, I think this is a good substitute for hot cocoa.

The taste of caramel dances off the pallet in a smooth but not overpowering display. Cocoa slowly chases behind, and is tasted well after sipping this delightful tea. This tea smells absolutely delicious and will defiantly be a more complex dessert tea, or a nice morning steep for those of you who prefer a lil sweet to start the day. So, as a Philly resident, I challenge you to take on 'The Eye Of The Tiger' lol (I had to) Enjoy...
