This tea reminds me of chocolate cake. It's not like hot cocoa, and it's not like drinking chocolate. It's a bittersweet chocolate tea with buttery sweet notes. A great substitute for people who have a sweet-tooth. Relax and let yourself be convinced that you're indulging yourself.
When I first got this and opened the bag I knew I was going to have a cup of this that same day. I got whiffs of the caramel but I could definitely smell the rich chocolate. You can definitely taste both the chocolate and caramel in the tea it's sweet and delicious with just a bit of sugar.
One of my favorites - a definite go-to tea for me. This was actually the tea that introduced me to and got me hooked on Adagio teas. :D

I love the hint of chocolate in this mellow tea. A little bit of cream adds to the smoothness.
All I need to say about this tea is that it is even better than tiger eye, it's MAPLE.
A sweet and complex blend of flavors, although something in the blend does turn me off a bit (a strange bitterness). Good if you like the chocolate or caramel flavors. Worth a try!
As someone who isn't a big fan of caramel, this tea left me pleasantly surprised, strongly so. After trying it in a blend, I finally broke down and decided to try it alone--and my, am I glad I finally got around to that. Wonderfully sweet, excellent smell, and all around a great tea.
I usually don't like dessert or candy types of teas, but this was fantastic. Perfect with milk and honey.

This is DELICIOUS. Chocolate and caramel are perfect flavors to complement black tea. This is so good, it almost doesn't need sugar. Be careful, though, I would brew a little shorter time than recommended, this does tend to get bitter if you let it stew too long.

This tea was very eye opening! Let me just say that this would be even better as a chai tea! Anyway, I enjoy the silky taste this has and it taste even better with about a half teaspoon of sugar and a splash of milk. The color is a nice caramel color and the aroma is more of a dark chocolate smell! Highly recommend!
This is the tea equivalent of a mellow candy bar. My boyfriend is also a fan. It's great for when you want something sweet, but don't want to indulge in junk food. I don't even add sugar, it satisfies those cravings as it is. Great!
I really like tigereye, it's really balanced and tastes delicious with a little cream and sugar. Easily a new favorite.
One of my favorite teas for blending with other blacks, like Irish Breakfast, to give it a little lift and sweetness. It's good by itself too, as a desert tea.
I usually drink tea without milk or sugar, but this one lends itself well to that. If consumed on its own, it's a bit too bitter for me. With milk and sugar, it's a nice replacement for a morning latte.

I get mostly a butterscotch scent and flavour which I do like, but I hoped for more of the chocolate taste to come through. I'm going to order more even if it's not my personal favourite because it tends to be a big crowd pleaser when I make it for other people.
Tried it again. SomehowI liked it much better now. Strongly coffinated, but pleasantly sweet and spicy. I am keeping it!

This is my favorite black tea from Adagio (that I've tried so far). The caramel and chocolate flavors are pronounced without being too overwhelming. It is absolutely perfect. I tried it as a sample first, but I got the big bag to keep at work. It is an absolute favorite.
While not as rick as the Chocolate Chip, this tea was delicious. It's a good alternate for coffee, without being too bold.

It has a slightly bitter aftertaste that I've noticed with other teas that involve caramel and chocolate flavors. Milk and sugar improved the taste, but it didn't completely hide the bitterness. It's drinkable, but I very much wouldn't call it a favorite by any stretch.

I don't really taste the 'caramel' or 'chocolate'. It smells/tastes a bit like a gourmet coffee bean shop. Since coffee isn't a favorite, that knocked it down a bit in my book. I tried it sweet and with milk. I still don't enjoy it. I'm sure what some people would taste as caramel, I'm tasting as 'coffee'. My husband likes it, so he can finish it.
