Today's CommuniTea packet is fiery cinnamon spice, made with cinnamon, black tea, orange, spicy cinnamon flavor and cloves. Fiery cinnamon was one of the first teas that I found at Adagio, and it's one of my favorites. It's good on its own and added to pumpkin spice, masala and assorted other teas. Spicy, but not over the top. 8.6 grams of tea steeped in 32 ounces of 200 degree water for three minutes.

I liked this tea more than I thought I would! The cinnamon scent was quite overwhelming when I first opened the packet. But it softened once steeped into something that wasn't too strong while still being noticeably cinnamon-y. I think it would make a nice latte!

A nice black tea with a good amount of cinnamon flavor. No need to add sugar or milk.

Great spicy warm cinnamon tea that tastes so much like the red hots candy. Scrumptious and just right for winter.

It was a cinnamon tea as advertised! I found myself wishing there were a bit more orange, though.

This is easily one of my favorite adagio teas. The cinnamon flavor is bright and forward. There’s no mistaking what this tea is supposed to be! When I want something invigorating, this is one of the first I reach for in my pantry.

Lots of cinnamon goodness with just a little clove and citrus. Had to split this up and make it half strength, it's intense.

Lots of cinnamon flavor, almost a tiny bit of sweetness. Didn't taste a lot of black tea. Accidentally let the last of it cool quite a bit and it was still good lukewarm, which makes me wonder what it would be like iced.

I had high hopes for this blend and it did NOT disappoint. This is not for the faint-of-cinnamon! But it smells and tastes like Big Red chewing gum and was exactly the kind of pick-me-up I needed on a cold, wet, and miserable day.

Spicy, like the old gum we hD in the 990s. So much cinnamon, there Re rings on my cup.

I'm not a big cinnamon person, so this tea is not for me. It does, however, have a nice natural sweetness. If you like red-hot candies, this is your tea.

I’ve been on a bit of a cinnamon kick lately, so I was pretty ecstatic once I smelled this; and then, I was even more ecstatic once I tasted it. It’s good. It’s really good. It’s a lot like an atomic fireball, only without the searing mouth burn and regret. Like, liquid atomic fireball, basically.
I actually don’t think it’s that spicy, but as I’m one of those “if I can still feel my lips, it’s not spicy enough” people…yeah, I’m probably not the best judge here. ;)

If you like cinnamon, this is the one for you! A strong cinnamon flavor, but not overly so. Reminds me of Christmas. Not something I would drink every day but lovely as a special treat.

I originally got this because I wanted to see what it was like and if it would work for a blend I planned. it is great both straight and blended, with a strong cinnamon scent that's mostly aromatic without adding too much heat.

Reminds me of red hots candies. I don’t like this because it seems like too much cinnamon. IMO cinnamon is a spice and when it’s front and center it’s too overpowering.

It's fantastic if mellowed out by a hearty dose of cream and sugar, but on its own it could be very overwhelming. The smell is your warning: Do not imbibe straight if you're not a cinnamon fiend. I'd love to mix this tea into a batch of caramel though!

Not only am I usually not a fan of the sickly sweet spice of 'hot cinnamon', but there was barely any actual black tea in my sample. It seemed to mostly be bits of cinnamon bark. Wonderful, I'm sure, if you like that, but unfortunately it's not for me.

If you're looking for cinnamon, this tea really delivers. It packs quite a powerful cinnamon punch. The clove supports the cinnamon in an indiscernible way, and the orange provides some brightness, both of which give the tea depth and complexity. To get the best flavor, I need to adjust the ratio of tea leaves to water. A rounded teaspoon in an average-sized mug provides more of the punch I like. Though a second steep is satisfactorily cinnamon-laced, it's often a much weaker cup of tea than I'd like, probably because I'm not careful about timing my tea and usually let the first round brew too long.

Holy cinnamon Batman! It's a lot. Like a lot a lot. But it wasn't as bad as I though. If you really really like cinnamon this is a good tea for you.

Heavy cinnamon, but not so overpowering that you can't taste the rest of the tea. Would taste amazing as a latte, but I had it straight. Just don't mind the cinnamon dust cloud.

This tea tastes very bland to me. It smells very much like Good Earth Sweet and Spicy tea, but it just doesn't have the same bite. I want a cinnamon tea that burns my tongue! (This isn't it.)

CommuniTEA packet tasting, I love cinnamon so this black tea was perfectly blended with a generous amount of cinnamon and a dash of orange and cloves. I also taste a bit of honey flavor which is a sweet surprise. Happy sipping!

I was surprised at how much ground cinnamon was actually in the packet. It wasn't as strong in taste as it smells. It actually was sweet and tasted like the cinnamon red hot candies. I like spicy chai teas, so to taste cinnamon on it's own was nice.

Wowza! First off, opening the package was like walking into a cinnamon forest. Huge chunks of cinnamon were noted emitting a spicy, heady aroma. After steeping, the liquid is semi-opaque, slightly oily, and with flecks of cinnamon. While not much to look at, it makes it up in HUGE flavor. A big cinnamon and orange kick!

Not my cup of tea (pun intended), so I gave this to my husband. He loves red hot candies, and he's not a huge tea drinker. But he raved about this tea! I'd say it's definitely a winner for cinnamon lovers.

Much less synthetically cloying than the rooibos cinnamon. Good with milk but there is no way I could stomach this plain.

Great cinnamon flavor and a good bit of spice. Second cup let it steep a little longer and found it to be better.
This is my dad’s favorite tea. He said it has the best cinnamon flavor of all the teas.

My communiTEA packed had lots of cinnamon chunks and dust, and I think I identified the bottom part of a few cloves, but no recognizable orange, and really very little tea.
My goal was to find a way to mellow the cinnamon so it wasn't overpowering. I steeped for 2 min at 190° and got a rather pleasant brew. The cinnamon was more subdued and subtle rather than a fire ball on the tongue but with a nice lingering flavor on the palate.
This is still unlikely to be a favorite tea that I'd reorder, but at least I won't shy away from it in future sample packs now.

Enjoying along with the CommuniTEA: Well, what can I say...this smells like cinnamon and red hots candies on dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 3 mins at 190° F, I notice a cinnamon colored rim of cinnamon dust in my cup and more red hots fragrance with some more deeper bark cinnamon fragrance. When I take a sip, the cinnamon is still present, but not overpowering today.
There is also a complexity to the variation of the cinnamon notes. I get strong earthy deep tones with higher sweet and subtle spicy tones. I have sampled this tea before and the spicy tones were too much. Today, however, the contents in my cup is just right and delicious!

This one probably lives up to a cinnamon tea, but not a hot cinnamon tea. On the other hand, this one is better than the basic cinnamon tea Adagio sells. I've had this in a fandom blend Adagio sells. This is the first time I tried this one by itself. Like more cinnamon? This is your tea.

The cinnamon flavor is packed in this tea, perfect for the winter season. It's spicy but not overbearingly so, but milk can be added to tone it down slightly.

Cinnamon is not always my favorite flavor because I find it gets overpowering quickly. I was wary of this tea when I first opened my CommuniTea packet & was greeted by a puff of cinnamon powder. The smell of the dry tea leaned very 'red hots' which I suspect is the fault of the cinnamon flavorant.
With cinnamon powder shedding everywhere, even managing to escape my cotton tea bag, I steeped @ 200°F for 4min. I added sugar and cream & ended up with a just nice cup of tea. The sugar & cream ensured that the end result wouldn't be hot enough to clean out my sinuses, but just spicy enough to wake me up & put a lil pep in my step.

This tea is surprisingly complex for so few ingredients. Cinnamon is a complex spice on it own because depending how it's use, it can be both savory and sweet, both sides are represented here. When the tea first hit my tongue it combines with the faint hints of clove and orange and has a savory, spicy, almost bitter quality. As the flavor fades to an aftertaste it loses that bitter quality and mellows into a sweet warm candy. This magical transformation then repeated with every sip. If you are not a big fan of the bitter side of Cinnamon a pinch of sugar was enough to remove that, leaving you with a warm cup of liquid candy.

I love cinnamon so this tea gets a thumbs up from me! It’s a zesty, spicy, zingy party in your mouth! It’s perfect for when you want to get warmed up and feel a bit cozy. I can imagine sipping this one throughout the holiday season. The orange and clove give it a bit of a “hot toddy” note but it is not overpowering. I added some sweetener because that is how I like my flavored blacks. Overall, this is a lovely little cup. This tea can keep me company any time! Happy Sipping!

A cinnamon lovers tea blend! It is one of my Adagio favorites. Tastes similar to the little red hot cinnamon candies. Also, a superb way to “kill” your taste buds from having the ability to detect additional tastes for a little while after sipping, lol. Warming and full of fire!

Very enjoyable! Great “wake up” blend. I added sugar, as it seemed to round out the flavor.
Updated review 12/2/21: this is still a very pleasant cinnamon tea, but I’m missing the cinnamon “red hot” flavor. A longer steeping might have helped. I steeped for 3 and wish I had taken it to 4. All in all a good warm up!

I was expecting something very hot with the name, but was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. If you like the flavor of fireballs (the candy) and cinnamon red hots, but not the heat, this is the tea for you! The cinnamon is a nice, warm-you-up flavor, instead of a 5 alarm fire. This is on my wish list and will be in my cart soon!

1 Dec 2020 communiTEA review: Cinnamon chunks, dust and lots of it were all over the place! I got some of the excess cinnamon dust out with my trusty-dusty Adagio matcha sieve to minimize any dregs at the end. One tiny clove piece was noted. Aromas were great! One lone orange chunk was noted ... his eyes was popping out with wonder! Things was churning up and a fight was ensuing! What we had here was a real live Cinnamon v COVID Smackdown rights here in my communiTEA packet!
When hot, this was just what I needed for a stopped-up head! The cinnamon flavors were right up front. The black tea stayed back waiting for more action. The cinnamon and clove had some sweetness to them, but I still added a wee bit of sugar just enough to fan the fames.
When warm, the clove piece came forward and provided some pungency to the mix. The tea held things together so there wouldn’t be a massacre! The orange just sat there and watched the fight.
At the bell, the cinnamon and clove won out. My head was clear and my tummy was a-smiling! This was a very appropriate drink “for what’s ailin’ ya!” I didn’t want to do a second steep, ‘cause I was “worn out!” (4 mins @ 200ºF, 1/8 tsp sugar)

Steeped at 190* at 3 minutes to avoid bitterness. I was prepared to really like this tea. I love cinnamon in beverages. The aroma upon opening the package was moderate, but hard to identify. Full disclosure, I do have a bit of a cold, so that could be the reason. The leaves reminded me, visually, of different types of shredded chocolate (milk, dark, semi-sweet, etc). The cinnamon, and other spice aromas, intensified as the tea steeped. The first flavor that made its appearance upon sipping was the cinnamon, but I found most of the flavors to be weak. In defense of this tea, however, it should be known that I was a bit distracted and may have used too much water to steep. I also lost track of time. It may have been steeped a little longer than necessary. I think, perhaps, I may have to give this tea another try to give it a truer rating, but as it stands, it is a so-so tea for me.
