A good black tea, but tastes more like a berry or a currant type flavor than a hibiscus, lacking the slight citrus quality and red color hibiscus usually imparts. I almost wonder if the batch I got was mispackaged.
Tangy, sour-sweet Hibiscus flower with brisk Ceylon tea. The fruity-spicy aroma and rich flavor are refreshing hot or iced!

Beautiful tasting tea! It is a stronger tea so I advise not steeping too long
I have been looking for a tea like this and it is great! I love it and will be ordering more of it. It s also great iced. Just a hint of hibiscus flavors this tea.
I enjoy this tea immensely. I generally mix it with some lemon balm or lemon grass. It's very refreshing. I enjoy the tangy-ness of it. Great with a meal or just for sipping casually.
Very flavorful tea. As it steeps it smells so good!
thought this was the straight hibiscus. Very disappointed it was black with hibiscus. They should change the name.
Hibiscus is hit and miss for me, so I went into this hesitant and it is not really for me. Too 'flowery.'
Just the right amount of floral notes. This has become the tea for our team meetings -- everyone enjoys a cup, even during project stress. Every team member likes it, so I can brew up a whole pot of one choice, which is a happy thing.
As far as personal preference goes, this was far too strong for me even in small concentrations. 500 cup points deep and this is the only adagio tea that I wasn't super enthusiastic about, not a bad ratio.
Honestly, this tea is pretty delicious. It was very fruity and it smelled amazing.I definitely recommend this chilled :)
I bought this tea because my cousin makes a hibiscus iced tea brew that is fantastic. When I brewed Adagio's hibiscus all I smell and tasted was so floral it's undrinkable. It tastes and smells like a grandmothers perfume. I can't believe how strong the floral notes are. I threw out the whole bag after forcing myself to finish a cup. I felt like I was drinking perfume. Sorry. I don't recommend this tea. Love Adagio just not this tea.
A nice black tea with a little hibiscus. This isn't the kind of tea that turns out red, but it tastes nice and flowery and a little sour when steeped right.
I thought this was a well-rounded hibiscus tea. Exactly what i expect in a hibiscus.
If I was drinking this tea back when I put lots of honey in my tea, I probably would have enjoyed it more. But since I haven't put any sweeteners in my tea in years (and never cream), this tea is too sweet for me. I'll stick with my unflavored, unsweetened teas.
Light and floral (obviously). I'll mix this with peppermint and green tea for a cool summer pick me up.
I originally got this tea as a sample, and I am officially in love with it. It is the perfect level of floral sweetness, and with a dash of sugar it really comes together. I load up on it in travel mugs so that I can have it all day long.
I really enjoyed this tea, I have added it into my regular tea rotation.
I love hibiscus tea, this is the first non herbal hibiscus tea that I've had. I live it
Not a fan of black teas (except earl grey). For some reason, it tastes soapy to me. But as I mentioned in my review for the orange tea, this and orange mix really nice for an Arnold Palmer. I did half orange, half hibiscus, made the tea according to the package, and then subbed 4 cups tea plus 2 cups ice cubes for the water in brown sugar lemonade (tea, ice, 1.5 c brown sugar, + 2 c lemon juice). It was super popular even with my guests who don't like tea, period.
This is one my boyfriend and I both enjoy (which is highly unusual, but no complaints!). We like to have this when we need a bit of cozy relaxation.
extremely floral and sweet. better iced, but overall, not my favorite.
Got this for my girl friend and she is a sensitive to caffeine, but she really enjoyed this. She liked that she could steep a serving multiple times and still get a strong flavor.
It tastes like you're drinking perfume! I like the way hibiscus smells, but it tastes awful in a tea!
I ordered this tea out of curiosity after reading an article on its healthful benefits. Wow, am I glad I did! This has to be one of the best teas I have ever tasted. It has a sweet yet tart taste. I put one packet of Truvia (Stevia) in it and it is perfect. My wife likes it without sweetener. It hs become my favorite tea!
A subtle floral scent and unique flavor. I love drinking this to aid my bloodpressure.
The black tea in here seems strange... I'm glad I tried it though. Not for me.
A nice hibiscus tea. However, I prefer the taste of the pure hibiscus flowers Adagio sells and will continue purchasing those.
A nice black tea with that distinctive floral quality.
My rating is because I don't like flowery teas and this one has a strong flowery flavor. I like other hibiscus teas I've tried but this one is just overpoweringly flowery. I tried it hot and iced and like it better iced. I ended up gifting this to a co-worker.
Hibiscus tea is sort of an acquired taste and you need to drink it with a bunch of sweetener and when it's so hot out that you're not sure you can keep going
Smells great the taste is light and relaxing for a night tea.
I liked these tea for a rainy afternoon. I love hibiscus, but this tea has other flavors that make it seem more like a spiced tea. Not recommended if you don't like teas that get too sweet.
very good. Not fake and perfumy like some cheaper flower teas, but subtle and complex.
I actually just realized in taking this survey, I never received this tea in my order.
I love that it tastes the way soap smells. Makes me feel clean inside.
I had never thought that I was going to like this since it a flowery tea. I figured I would give it a try in the sample size with not much to loose. I am so glad I did. I can't believe I love this so much that I am going to buy a larger size bag. Amazing!
This tea isn't bad, but it reminds me of lipstick. Something about how the hibiscus interacts with the tea leaves tastes lipstick-y to me, which isn't a real recommendation.
This had a strong 'bubblegum' flavor for some reason. Did not remind me of hibiscus. It was good mixed with the Berry Creme Compote and iced, but hot... well... not my cup of tea.
I've had hibiscus herbal tea before, and I think I like it a lot better than when it's mixed with tea. I don't think the hibiscus and tea compliment each other.
Not quite the hibiscus I imagined, a little more harsh than expected
This tea is so flowery and good: it's AMAZING iced!!
Yum! I bought a sample and now I'll need to order more! So good.
I love the tart taste of hibiscus! I love it hot and iced! Very refreshing!
Update on past reviews: looks like the the awesome hibiscus flavor is back for this one! This is one of my favorite teas, just beware of over-steeping or you will have a cup of perfume.
rich and tangy, one of my favorite teas that I've tried on adagio. great hot or iced.
Great hibiscus tea! Add a little honey and a dash of lemon and it's super delicious!
Honestly, it's basically just black tea. I can taste the floral hibiscus, but it's better as a Kool Aid flavor than tea. Still not bad and worth getting every once in awhile.
Tasty, tangy, and beautifully colored. This is excellent cold, and mixed with gin!
This is a nice refreshing floral tea that's not too sweet or too flowery, but the taste is still strong. I think it would taste great as an ice tea.
I felt the smell was a little soapy, but that's probably just my interpretation of the hibiscus scent. The taste was good though, nice black tea with a floral hint. Ended up giving away my bag of it though since I didn't like the soapy smell. Interestingly, I adore hibiscus in fruit/herbal teas, but when it's just hibiscus with a black tea I apparently don't like that.
