Upon opening the bag, I didn't enjoy the bitter smell that hit me. It smelled more like dark roasted coffee than the sweet cocoa smell (like Nutella) that I was expecting. The smell changed into a slightly more velvety fragrance while I was brewing it, which I liked, but I was still disheartened by how much it smelled like coffee. The initial taste was pretty unremarkable but the aftertaste was very nice. I usually like hearty teas and this one is definitely very robust and strong. I added a teaspoon of sugar which brought out some creaminess and made the tea sweeter but I think any more than a teaspoon would ruin it. If you are a coffee fan or love very strong and hearty teas then this is a good choice!

This has quickly become a favorite of mine. It has a wonderful blend of tea flavor and hazelnut flavor. Just what I need to get me going on a cold morning.

Warm and nutty, good with or without milk. I don't find it needs sugar. Blends well.

This is a great flavored tea! Originally ordered as a sample to try and it's great. The flavor is really yummy. Just ordered a pound since it's such a good deal.

I love this tea. The hazelnut flavor is strong, but in a good way. I always drink mine with almond milk and sugar and it makes a great dessert tea. I'll definitely be ordering more in the future.

I mixed this with chocolate and honeybush vanilla and it solidified my recent decision to switch from teavana to adagio. Decadent, smooth, and not bitter at all when need correctly (I put two ice cubes in my teapot and poured boiling water over, need for about 4 minutes). Love this flavor mixed with others.

Every time I try a new flavor, I think it's my favorite, and hazelnut tea is no exception! This is delicious, a great balance of nutty sweetness and the smooth flavor of black tea. I can't wait to mix this with cream tea for a perfect after-dinner treat.

I love this tea. The hazelnut flavor comes out beautifully with milk and sugar. Who doesn't love hazelnut? Blends well with chocolate, too.

Mmmmm, Mmmmm, Mmmmm! I love anything nutty, and this tea is no exception. It's a staple in my tea cabinet for drinking solo or mixed - especially with a caramel or chocolate.

To quote Sandra Lee this is 'soda licious!' Sometimes the flavored teas have the tendency to smell better than they taste or not be wholly accurate to their flavor but this was a homerun. It smells INCREDIBLE in the bag like French Vanilla or waffles cooking and once brewed there's a hint of an almost cookie like sweetness. Amazing in blends as well.

Like hazelnut coffee, hazelnut flavoring is added to make a great thing an average thing. Good, nothing special. Great for hazlenut freaks. Mix with chocolate chip for nutella tea

I love this, especially mixed with the tiger eye. Perfect nutty flavor.

This has a very true hazelnut flavor. Excellent on its own as well as in a blend!

The smell of the tea leaves is a bit overpowering at first, but the taste is well-worth it. I blended a bit of cream-flavored tea and added a bit of sugar. The result was very much like drinking a hazelnut cookie. For someone with a sweet tooth, this is the best way to start a day.

Basically what you'd expect from a hazelnut flavored tea. The flavor is pretty spot-on, a sweet and nutty hazelnut that shines through prominently. I mix it with other teas (english breakfast, earl grey moonlight) since it's a bit too nutty on its own, at least for my taste.

Smelled like an entire vial of hazelnut concentrate was dumped into the bag. This did not abate when brewed. No , just no.

This tea is not great, not bad, but just ok. It has a strong hazelnut taste, similar to a hazelnut coffee. If that's your thing you may love this tea, but I generally prefer sweet, fruity teas.

Everything hazelnut should be - rich an earthy and bright and flexible. Almond reigns as my favorite, but hazelnut dominates the number two spot. I'm not big on the smell in-bag, but it brews up quite nicely, so I'll take it. Great for mixing in blends.

Delicious! Smells awesome, and it tastes great straight, with milk and sugar, hot or iced. This is going to be one of my staple teas.

I love this flavor! It's super rich and flavorful and excellent when blended with a plain black tea like irish breakfast. The only thing to be careful with is not brewing it for too long. It gets bitter. No more than 3 mins.

I bought this and the almond tea at the same time. I really enjoy the chestnut tea, and I was hoping these would be similar. They're good teas, but... not the amazingness that is the chestnut tea. Smells amazing, taste doesn't quite live up to it. Still, a pretty delish black tea!

I guess I'm not too big a fan of hazelnut in tea form, it wasn't brilliant, but I'll probably mix it with the vanilla I have or something.

I really like this flavor of tea. It blends well with other flavors and is very soothing after a long day.

I love this tea! I am such a sucker for hazelnut. I want to put it in all my blends! It mixes really well with chocolate-based or spicy teas.

I really liked this tea, it's a great substitute for my morning coffee! Light in flavor but very enjoyable.

Very strong smell out of the bag, almost like a hazelnut coffee! This was my other half's pick out of my latest tea order, and he definitely had a good go at it. It's his absolute favorite tea, and quickly climbing my list, too!

Amazing blended with the chocolate. With just the right amounts of each (and sugar), it tastes just like Nutella!

Perfect with a bit of milk (almond milk for me, but even better with half and half) and light sweetener.

MMMM is all that is needed to be said about this tea. It is a Great flavor and not to strong, no weird aftertaste either. This is my new favorite breakfast drink.

One of my favorite flavors ever. Holds its flavor for multiple brews. Right amount of sweetness. This is one I will probably always have on hand.

I'm not a nut person, but since my mother really likes hazelnut hot cocoa, I decided to get her a bit of the hazelnut tea. She said she really enjoyed it, not as much as the chestnut that came in the Christmas Sample pack I got her (and that she later bought a pound of), and would probably get it again.

I'm a little torn about this tea. When you open the pouch, and even after it's brewed, the hazelnut smell of it is cloyingly overpowering, to the point where I sometimes reconsider my decision and put it back on the shelf in favor of another flavor. But the tea itself is quite good, especially with biscotti, and I almost always go back for a second cup. It brews a beautiful dark brown and is good with or without milk and sugar. I just wish it wasn't so smelly!

This is probably the best smelling tea in the universe! And delicious, too, especially smooth and creamy with a bit of honey. Every time we have tea at the house, my best friends ask if I'll be serving this flavor.

It has a very powerful (almost Nutella-ish) scent in the bag, but mellows out a bit once it has steeped. I tend not to drink the flavoured teas by themselves, but used for cooking, or mixed with other teas, the Hazelnut is awesome.

Not a strong flavor, but the hint of hazelnut is perfect. It tastes a little sweet even without sugar.

I love this tea! Of the ten or so flavored black teas from Adagio that I have tried, this one is a top favorite--absolutely delicious.

Love this tea. The flavor is a little stronger than I expected it to be but that was a pleasant surprise.

Mmmmm, warm and nutty and spectacular! This is just so cozy, great for a cold day. The nutty side of English Breakfast is what won me over to tea, and this is exactly what I hoped would be out there.

I love how this tea is almost reminiscent of a nice rich hazelnut coffee!

I like hazelnut flavored things in general and this didn't disappoint. Nice nutty hazelnut flavor and is excellent with almost everything :)
