It's ceylon black tea plus hazelnut flavoring. It's not bad, but it's not great. I mean, I love my hazelnut flavor, but the two presented flavors don't mix on the tongue for some reason.
Ceylon tea with cozy, creamy hazelnuts. Aromatic, slightly roasted with a rounded, sweet flavor and toasty dryness.

Hazelnut tea is wonderful. Love that nutty taste in my tea. Much better than coffee.
This is the most absolutely delicious flavor of any tea I have tried. I have bought about 7 packages for myself and as gifts.
One of my absolute favorites. Such a hearty, and even lightly sweet flavor. I put a bit of honey in it and drink it during breakfast, and sometimes lunch.
Really enjoy hazelnut and can never find it as a flavoring, this tea was a great blend and really fixed my cravings.
On those cold mornings this is a wonderful way to settle into wakefulness. The hazelnut flavour is strong but not overpowering.
I absolutely love the flavor of Hazelnut and this tea has that lovely hazelnut taste. I don t like strong teas so only brew it for a couple of minutes. Then I add a bit of honey and YUM!
Probably my favorite flavored tea. Tastes as amazing as it smells - creamy, nutty with a solid base.
This is by far my favorite of all Adagio teas. I can't get enough of it - probably drink 2 quarts of this stuff every day! In my opinion it pairs extremely well with milk, so that's generally how I drink it. I often just have a cup of Hazelnut + milk for dessert, it is *that* good. The hazelnut flavor is just right - not too strong and not too subtle.
Nice and sweet. It both smells and tastes amazing.
Amazing on cool evenings! I paired this the creme black tea and it tasted like a hazelnut cookie.
Same as the cream flavor - great for mixing with other flavors. I love this mixed with chocolate chip. Add a bit of sweetener and some cream, and it is a lovely cup of afternoon tea.
This is a great dark nutty tea on its own and wonderful in blends. It has a good amount of both flavor and fragrance, and what you smell is what you get - very like the hazelnut flavoring used in coffee. We like it mixed with a bit of caramel and chestnut for a sweet nutty cup.
When I let my husband smell my hazelnut tea, he said that it smelled just like his hazelnut coffee... but I think it is way better! This is delicious but not strong or overpowering.
This tea has a nice nutty flavor, it almost reminds me of a hazelnut coffee.
A good, nutty flavor. I prefer mine with a touch of cream, but is good on it's own with very little sweetener.
Great dessert replacement, pleasant tea. The smell is a little too strong, but the flavor when brewed is just right.
This is my favorite flavor, and the tea is just so good! Perfect for the morning and absolutely delicious.
Dessert in a cup, I really enjoy it. I was worried the hazelnut flavor might be a little fake tasting because of the way it smells in the pouch, but once brewed it has a luscious flavor.
Perfect in the morning...similar to coffee with that deep, complex taste. I enjoy it with a touch of almond milk and coconut sugar.
I love hazelnut .. this tea is delicious, with a splash of cream I could drink this all day or over ice
Nutty, sweet and warm flavor. Kind of like coffee.
For me, the hazelnut teabags is enhanced more ONLY if i add my butter toffee stevia drops to the blend. Otherwise, on it's own, it tastes like a mild, chocolate black tea. I mix it w/ my chestnut green tea to bring out more of the nutty flavor.
My new favorite afternoon tea! Slightly sweet and very smooth, it needs nothing except a warm cup and a good book.
If you like hazelnut this would be a favorite. Also good with milk and rock crystals.
Almost like coffee! Good if you like a nutty, dessert-y tea.
Nice, nutty flavor and mild. Excellant for blending, but a bit weak for my tastes to be a stand alone. Create a blend of your own and enjoy!
The hazelnut tea by far is one of my absolute favorites. It has such a natural flavor, but also has the added hazelnut flavor that is to die for. I will definitely be drinking this every morning because it is such a rich and comforting tea.
I like it! I will be ordering again in the future...
Perfect tea for curling up in a comfortable chair and watching it snow. The hazelnut flavor is not overpowering and with a hint of sugar added, gives it an almost desert taste.
Delicious! I love this tea. Definitely will be ordering more.
A little too strong tasting. I enjoy milder teas.
Love the nuttiness of this tea! One of my favorites!
I like this tea, but I m not overwhelmed. It has a hazelnut flavor, but that is not very strong.
Update: I mixed the hazelnut with chestnut and the nut flavor was much stronger. I will go on mixing it with other flavors and try some new combinations. I usually add cream to all black teas, maybe this brings out the flavor even more.
The hazelnut flavor is not as strong here as it is in the Honeybush. This is a good tea for mixing with others as that tends to bring out the flavor a bit more.
Really lovely, rich hazelnut flavor. Pairs perfectly with chocolate/chocolate teas for blending, but it's also a nice, hearty tea on its own.
This tea is just yummy, and smells terrific when you open the bag. This tea is comforting.
The best thing about hazelnut coffees is the hazelnut--not being much of a coffee fan--so I was excited to see a hazelnut tea on the list. This tea has great flavoring, and it's perfect with a couple splashes of milk. I live at 6,000 feet, so the highest I can get my water is 200°F. I'm sure it tastes even better at 212°F.
Would be nice to add a cookie flavor to this to help smooth it out. A little bitter for me.
I have always loved hazelnut coffee. When I switched to tea I was pleasantly surprised at how good this hazelnut tea was (and is). Not overpowering flavor but just a hint when I want something a bit different from irish breakfast.
it tastes good but its too asringent black tea in your mouth
Despite my love of Hazelnut coffee I wasn t sure if I would like the same flavor as a tea but I was quite pleasantly surprised. This has the same lovely depth and richness to it as I ve come to expect in the coffee version and it tastes absolutely lovely plain or with creamer. This is definitely in my top five teas I ve had here on Adagio and I definitely recommend it.
It has awesome smell and excellent taste. Must try
I love hazelnut coffee, and I thought this would be a good substitute, but it is not. It's very smoky, and just not to my tastes. Even milk and a lot of honey could not save this.
This tea is amazing!! I'm a huge hazelnut coffee fan and this does not disappoint. I was amazed that it was ready to go at exactly 3 minutes, but that time is bang on for an amazing, flavorful cup. I gotta get some more of this!
I realllly liked this one! Tastes great, and it works well with my breakfasts. (Also tastes awesome if you mix some of this tea with the Chocolate Chip. YUM.)
Very decadent. This wonderful tea really hits the spot!
I am seriously obsessed with anything Hazelnut flavor and this tea is just perfection
I love this tea because it smells like hazenut coffee, but actually tastes good!
Delicious! I m a big fan of hazelnut flavor, so I couldn t wait to try this tea. The smell is amazing, and the taste isn t quite as strong, but still great. I enjoy mixing it with chocolate chip tea for an unbelievable sweet treat!
