It tastes strongly of ginger at first, but you start to taste the peach after subsequent sips.
The soft warmth of ginger, sweet depth of summer ripe peaches and apricots, paired with citrusy Ceylon black tea.

It tastes strongly of ginger at first, but you start to taste the peach after subsequent sips.
In general I love ginger peach tea and expected to enjoy this one, but the black tea in this variety brews up bitter and astringent at the recommended time and temperature. Both peach and ginger flavors are present in moderate amounts, but this tea didn't come together into a tasty peach-ginger medley because of the black tea screaming for attention. I tried a second steep at a lower temp but it still had a lot of bitterness. I am wondering if this would fare better as a room temperature steeped iced tea?
Received in my communitea pack. This tea was okay, but got more bitter as it cooled. Personally wouldn't like it iced because of that, but not a bad tea overall.
Delicious tea, good flavour. I enjoyed this cup, but it was very mild on the peach. It could have used for fruity boldness.
Today's CommuniTEA packet had an intriguing scent of peach, apricot, and some earthy spicy ginger inclusions. Steeping this tea for 212ºF for 3 minutes produced a medium amber brown liquor.
The taste is similar to the standard peach tea, but has a much more spicy and complex background to play against. The ginger gives this tea a rooty, earthy and slightly spicy character while still bringing forward the brisk tannins from the Ceylon tea leaves. The ginger provides mild zings and spice that can be detected at the back of the throat. The finish is moderately astringent, lingering until your next sip.
For the second cup, I decided to try adding some half & half. This mellowed out the bold & brisk Ceylon tea, while actually making the ginger spice more prominent relative to it and the peach and apricot flavors. Finally, for the third cup I decided to try the serving suggestion by adding fresh ginger and honey. The fresh ginger added more zesty and fresh spice to the cup, while the honey helped tone down the peppery kick a bit. Peach and apricot fruits were enhanced by the sweetness of the honey, presenting the illusion of stone fruit nectar. The Ceylon tea background was still moderately brisk and astringent but tamed a bit by the honey ginger combo.
This tea seems very versatile and can be enhanced many ways. Although I didn't try it iced, this one seems like it could work very well in that way too. Overall, a great fruity yet bold tea blend that stands up to cream, honey and added ginger!
I love Adagio's peach tea; the added ginger makes this a meh for me. I do like ginger teas but I'm not sure how I feel about ginger + black tea.
I was expecting more fruity taste from this, but both the ginger and peach were pretty mild. Definitely seemed better cold, so I think this would make a good iced tea.
CT sample review. It smelled fruity but the first taste yielded mostly ginger and almost a peppery feel on palette. I had added milk and sugar already. I decided to add more milk and a touch more sugar and the fruity flavors did not come out. I did feel good about drinking ginger as it has many health benefits.
I've had some ginger flavored green teas that I've enjoyed; but this ginger peach black tea isn't quite as good. The peach and ginger flavors just don't seem to pair as well with the black tea, which also added some bitterness despite steeping at a lower temperature than instructed. Additionally, the flavor seemed inconsistent - some sips tasting more of peach and others tasting more of ginger. Overall this tea was drinkable, but I would have preferred these flavorings paired with green tea or possibly white tea rather than Ceylon.
I'm a big fan of Adagio's White Peach tea so I figured that Ginger Peach wouldn't be much different!
Brewed at 185F for two minutes with a splash of milk makes this tea fantastic and avoids any bitterness from the Ceylon tea.
A perfect balance of sweet from the peach and a light spiciness from the ginger. <3
Tried this one a a communiTea. The peachy scent is divine and the taste is a lovely balance of peach and ginger. A little bitter hit towards the finish but think that may have to do with my brew time and temp. Think I'll be adding this to my next order for summertime in a glass.
It's a really bold and commanding tea, with the peach being the star of the show without outshining the ginger. The ginger keeps the peach from being TOO sweet, and plays with the gentle bitter notes of the black tea blend used very well. It'd be a good tea to pair with scones, or if you want to have a fatty meal without feeling bogged down.
This tea was just ok. I tasted the ginger faintly but not really any fruit. Tried it plain first and then as a latte. It was somewhat improved as a latte but still lacking in flavor. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3 since I didn't try it cold & suspect it would be better that way.
Ginger? Peach? A bit of both? More of one flavor than the other? As a Communitea, it appears we are a mixed bag today. My sample tastes mostly of peach and not much ginger. Pleasant little peachy cup, I tell ya.
Heavy on the ginger, less so on the peach. I’d prefer the opposite but it’s pretty good.
I brewed this tea at 200 to avoid bitterness. The tea ended up having a slight peach taste with just a hint of ginger. I was hoping for more pronounced flavors especially since the dry fragrance was so delightful
In the packet the sweet peach and earthy ginger aromas meld nicely together, it reminds me of a peach pie. Once brewed it still smells like some kind of peach baked and less like fresh fruit. The first thing I taste is peach, followed by a rich black tea with just a bit of maltiness. The ginger warms up the finish slightly but isn't very strong. I barely get any spiciness from it, just a more rounded out flavor. I wish the ginger was a bit stronger, but I still enjoyed it and thought the flavors blended well. I tried the first few sips hot, then ended up pouring the rest of it over ice. Once cold, I think the flavors mellowed out and I mostly tasted the black tea. I would order more to experiment with different brewing methods. (212° for 3 minutes)
Had over ice as the temperatures are rising. More bitter than I had hoped. Might be better a bit sweeter, but I very rarely do so. So straight out of the kettle, I'm going to say meh. Not likely something I'm going to grab for again soon.
I was excited for a fruity, spicy black tea when I opened my communiTea packet but was a little underwhelmed once I steeped it. The tea is a lovely dark amber color but the flavor is kind of bland. I wanted more punch to it!
It is a good tasting tea although I prefer my ginger to be in solid food and not my drink. I do get a good peach taste in the tea. I won't allow my personal preferences to get in the way of my four star ranking.
Ah yes, a spring muddle of flavors! There's something in here besides peach flavor, but it doesn't read as ginger. Cooler is better than hot - just not a combination I would go for on my own. (3 mins @ 212 F, 2 drops EZ-Sweetz)
Not very peachy, not very ginger-y; the two flavors seem to interfere with each other and add a note that is almost tomato-like. Adding one drop of sweetener and then another only made things progressively worse. This tea just isn't for me! (3 mins @ 195 F, 2 drops EZ-Sweetz)
Trying along with the CommuniTEA: I noticed ginger and floral scents coming from the dry ingredients and packet today. Once steeped for 3 mins at 190° F to minimize astringent tannins from the black tea leaves, I still notice bold black tea flavor balanced with subtle peach and ginger and marigold notes. On the nose, strong floral marigold notes in addition to honeyed tea notes.
The smell of this tea is delightful. When I opened my communitea packet I could smell the peach with just a trace of spice. The peach essence, once brewed, isn't quite as strong as the ginger flavor takes over. Ginger is definitely the predominant flavor, but it isn't a strong peppery punch but rather mellow flavor. It does mask the peach, but blends well with the Ceylon. As the tea cooled, the peach was a little more apparent but very mild. If you're a ginger fan, or prefer your tea iced, this tea might be for you.
I didn't really get a lot of the ginger or the peach. Sugar helped draw out the peach, but the ginger was still shy. Overall, I would put this in the 'utilitarian' tea category: good to get you up but nothing all that special in your cup. Perhaps others had a more gratifying experience with this blend. I'll be honest that I'm not usually a black tea fan overall. Is is quality? Sure is! It's Adagio. But I think the blend could use a bit of flavor tweaking. Happy Sipping!
The ginger pairs nicely with the Ceylon, but the fruit flavors mainly come through in the aftertaste. A little stronger peach & apricot would be great
Mostly a taste of ginger, with peach peeking out more as it cools. I was expecting more peach, but it's still pretty good.
Choice one:
Peachie needs a friend; Ginger seems like a nice spice; they are now besties!
OR
Choice two:
Peach gummy candy; I placed you on my cup's brim; Yummy, you fell in!

For me this is the perfect blend of fruit and ginger. Sometimes ginger can overwhelm a blend, but I felt this was well balanced
I tasted lots of ginger, very little peach, and a bit of pepper. It's not my thing at all, although my husband loves it and drinks it iced.
I made this tea iced. It had a bitter, syrupy peach flavor.
Bright and clean peach greeted me when I opened my communiTea packet this morning. I didn’t really even get a hint of anything else except maybe, just subtle undertone of the tea itself. I had to read the packet and website again to know of the ginger hidden inside.
Going with 205° (and planning lower next time) and a planned three minute steep (blasted timers and ADD turned this to more like 4), when finished this was a dark ambery color. The peach scents had scattered a bit leaving the notes of the of Ceylon a bit clearer and perhaps the ginger starting to make itself known.
The first sip was a bit on the bitter side but mellowed quickly, leaving just a bit of astringency and then a pop of what could only be ginger. The aroma continued to hold the peach, but the flavor wasn’t really there until the tea cooled and then it popped in, with ginger continuing to pop at the end most sips. Overall it was enjoyable after the first bite of bitterness, and would like to experiment/experience a larger sampling of this one.
Not much taste of peach and no taste of ginger at all. Drinkable, but nothing exciting.
I was worried that this tea would have an overwhelming amount of ginger when I smelled it. Luckily, I was wrong. Nicely balanced flavor between the ginger and peach, neither one is too prominent.
I think this tea needs to be brewed and enjoyed with care, to avoid bitter flavors and get the most out of it. I think a lower brewing temperature would stave off some bitterness, and allowing it to cool a bit before drinking brings out more of the peach flavors. Once it's cooled, it is a pleasant ginger tea with sweet zing on the finish from the peach flavor. Since the peach is only present in flavoring, whereas there are both ginger flavoring and pieces of ginger, it's possible subsequent steeps would lean even more ginger.
I didn't expect to like this one when I saw the ingredients list on the back of the CommuniTEA packet and I wasn't wrong. I don't like ginger in tea anyway, but mixing it with peach just does not work on my palate. I found it to be especially bitter and dry and the ginger is really the only thing I taste outside they Ceylon itself. The peach is entirely lost for me. Pun intended but uh...yeah, this is not my cup of tea. At all.
Cold brewed overnight, today's CommuniTea packet is crisp and refreshing. The color is tawny and clear, and the aroma is fruity, a combination of apricots and peaches. It primarily tastes of apricots, overlaid with peaches and ginger. I like its tartness, but others might prefer it with a little sugar. A nice tea. (Cold brewed in 12 oz of water for seven hours in the refrigerator)
The dry tea smells mostly like peach with a hint of ginger, and the marigold threads added a nice bit of color to the black tea. The black Ceylon base brews into a medium dark brown tea. When hot, the ginger dominates with the sweet peach flavors floating into the finish with slight ginger zings. The Ceylon helps to meld the flavors. As the cup cools, the peach and apricot flavors start to gain more prominence before yielding to the mild ginger zings on the finish with a hint of Ceylon brightness. The peach and ginger flavors are mild, but the hot tea tastes like it would be a good cold brew candidate or with a scoop of Peach Bellini for added stone fruit flavors. Brewed at 200 for 3 minutes.
I love seeking out different blends of ginger peach. Depending on the company, the ratio can be wildly different, but I usually like the general combination. This was the first time I'd tried Adagio's blend and was very happy with the result. If you're looking for a tea that punches you in the face with peach, you might be disappointed. The ginger takes the center stage as the identifying flavor, however, the peach adds a subtle sweet after taste that keeps the peach from becoming a sharp, overwhelming bite. I probably wouldn't have pinpointed the peach taste without help, but it helped mellow out the overall flavor and really made for a pleasant cup. This would be a great tummy tamer tea!
A beautiful and liberal amount of black tea and marigold leaves were noted in my communiTEA packet. Mild apricot-peach aromas were noted.
I had 3.38 grams of ingredients in my packet; enough for a 14 ounce steep, I steeped at 190°F to stave off any black tea bitterness. I pulled the steep at three minutes; when the depth of color wasn’t getting any darker.
When hot, mild fruit and ginger flavors were noted. Bitter tastes were moderate. I added some sugar to bring out fruit flavors and tame bitterness.
When warm, apricot-peach flavors were moderate. Ginger flavors were moderate, with a mild pungency noted. Bitter tastes were mild, but acceptable.
Peppery zings were noted on the tongue towards finish. This was an odd blend of ginger and fruit, but somehow worked. Ginger tastes may have been just a little too forward though. There was a smooth mouthfeel noted on the palate at the end. (3 mins @ 190ºF, ⅜ tsp sugar)
I found a lovely peach scent in my Communitea packet. Brewing at 205F for 3 minutes produced a bitter tea with a prominent peach taste and just enough ginger to give a pleasant depth. I enjoyed the tea more on subsequent sips, as the bitter taste became less notable and the peach became more prominent - whether it was because the tea mellowed as it cooled or because I tasted spices/bitterness more in the first sip, I'm not sure. This tea was very pleasant and refreshing iced. I know that this tea usually has a more prominent ginger taste compared to peach, so my sample might not have represented the usual mix, and if I bought more of this, I would probably need to be prepared to mix it with another peach tea to enjoy the balance of fruit and spice that I tasted today. For those who can handle more sweetness than bitterness, I think this would make an exceptional ginger peach tea latte just as it is.
This tea is much more ginger than peach, however it is still delicious.
I wanted to love this tea at first sip. It’s one of my favorite flavors to enjoy, especially iced.
I did come to like it quite a bit when I sweetened and chilled some of the first steep and liked it again when I steeped the leaves a second time. It was just the first hot steep that I had to muddle through. It was a bit like finding good-fitting jeans already broken in and washed and dried to the right size. You finally arrive at where you wanted to begin.
The ginger with a hint of peach/apricot scented tea in the CommuniTEA packet weighed in at 3 grams and equaled 2 tsp. of black tea leaves with a scattering of gold marigold flowers. I brewed at 208F for 3 minutes in a 10 oz. mug. Upon the first sip, the tawny brown liquor was strong tasting and ginger powered. Since I didn’t over brew, I couldn’t call this taste bitterness but decided that this assertive flavor needed taming to be enjoyed. I added honey and that helped. Letting the tea cool more helped too, so I could taste a peach flavor that came through at the tail end of the sip. In this blend, the black tea base lent some astringency, not unpleasant though, the ginger flavor was raring to go and the peach flavor was very demure. The chilled sweetened version was more to my liking as was the second steep of the now mellowed tea leaves and ginger flavor.
I might want to pair this blend with Adagio’s peach tea which also has a black tea base or maybe their peach oolong tea for more of that favorite peach flavor I so love. My packet today was ginger heavy so I look forward to another chance to brew this when I order a sample bag. I’m rating this tea, I love it with 4 stars because I liked it sweetened and chilled the best and only hot on the second steep.
As others have said, ginger is there but peach is a bit subtle.
Ginger scent noted on opening packet. After brewing, the ginger definitely comes through, but I didn't really note any peach flavor in my sample. I like ceylon tea and ginger so I enjoyed this cup, but not really one I would purchase.
I didn’t taste much peach, but the ginger is clean. Don’t oversleep this one, it can get bitter.
This tea is interesting one, the ginger has quite a strong smell and a peach undertone. This translates to a really good cup of tea as the peach and ginger compliment each other. I liked this one quite a bit.
However, I did notice the ingredients include natural apricot flavour. After reading that and taking another sip I definitely noticed another fruity flavour that was not peach; it must be the apricot.
Tastes good, but a tad astringent. I steep for 2min, max.
Love Ginger and peach teas, this one is truly great.
Delicious, drank this without adding anything and it was perfect. Definitely one of the best ginger peach blends I've ever tried. The ginger is not incredibly strong while the peach is so nice and fruity (if you want extra spice try adding some of that freeze dried ginger tea to the brew)
